@@wendyxkumaagreed. I also think that when Kelly changes her mind about a product it’s typically because she’s tried a different technique with it which affects the application
Personally I wish you had done the three categories for lips like gloss oil, etc because I would love to see your picks!! Or a lip focused video would be good with a focus on non drying products (from someone with chronically dry lips)
I have really dry lips too. My HG lip product is elf ride or die lip balm. It's tinted and comes in a few different shades, smells great, and is super moisturizing and affordable. I also love the Nyx butter lip glosses and they have a ton of shades. Lil tip- for lip products (anything chapstick like that's supposed to be moisturizing) make sure there's no salicylic acid in the ingredients. Brands often put it in because it's drying, to make you apply more! Something that helps is to gently exfoliate your lips regularly (washcloth, scrub, or the scrubber on the back of most toothbrushes all work well), then while they're still damp, apply your moisturizing balm, even some Vaseline. This helps lock the moisture in, preventing them from drying out (same with moisturizer for your skin). Also, if I'm wearing a matte lip product, I'll apply a very thin layer of balm first, so it doesn't dry out too much. 💗
I've been a 2 mascara wearing girl since high school (just turned 37). I get compliments all the time on my lashes. It's worth it lol. Just have an eyelash curler and separator on deck lol. Kelly, have you tried the Lucent Cream eyeshadow singles from Moira? Highly recommend them. Especially the shade "Jupiter".
I bought the sigma ambiance palette 2 weeks ago because of you and I adore it. I got it at 50% off but it’s worth the full retail price. A beautiful anytime anyplace palette.
After years not wearing mascara because of ridiculously sensitive eyes, I tried Lash n Roll and I love it! It actually made my short, straight lashes show up. Nice dark brown, too.
Can you do a full face of hard candy?? I’ve been really interested in them lately and just placed my first order with them. I saw they had mostly everything to do a full face minus a concealer on their website and I was intrigued lol
I love my dip brow! Especially since it’s dried out a little haha. Trying to use up all my other brow pencils so I can just have just dip brow in that category.
I will always be a brow pomade girl. It’s easier to control the amount of product you’re applying unlike brow pencils where you’re applying the product directly. Also, I’ve got the fenty eyeliner per your recommendation. I wore it for my graduation and it looked so gorgeous just the same color as my eyes 🥰
Oh I'll definitely have to pick up the elf mascara. It's a dupe of my favorite mascara, Benefit Roller Lash, so I've had my eye on it! Urban Decay shadows are one of my favorites and I also love Space Cowboy- it was actually the first high end makeup I bought as a teen! The Nyx butter glosses are amazing! My favorite shade is Tiramisu, a light brownish/rose/nude shade. I love the way you do your makeup and I think we have the same skin tone and type (mine is dry too) so I'm loving seeing what works for you!
3:52 One drop of Duraline Inglot overnight would revive the brow gel. Same for any cream based product or mascara. You can also make excellent eyeliner out of any powder shadow with it.
I love to see favorites videos when the products are not all the latest launches! And one of my favorite lipsticks is also a Becca one... the only thing I've ever had backups of (multiple 😅)
Dipbrow was originally intended to be used to draw brow strokes. Before I stopped buying from ABH, I went to their salon in Beverly Hills and asked them to teach me to draw brows from nothing (yay alopecia) and they taught me how to use dipbrow. It's great stuff.
I purchased the Charlotte Tilbury lip cheat in the shade Pillowtalk. I just over line my lips slightly with that and add the potted Fresh mango lip balm over top. It's perfection. Been using that combo every day for the last couple of months. My actual lipsticks are being seriously neglected.
I've always been a two mascara person, and now, on the rare occasions I only wear one, my lashes look lacklustre. I do mine in the opposite order from you, though, Kelly. My first mascara is one that separates, defines, and lengthens (ELF Lash 'n' Roll has been a great addition to my collection for that). Then the second mascara is one that gives lots of volume and more length and, most importantly, is waterproof. I have oily lids and very oily skin, so non-waterproof mascara as the top coat always smudges all over me and leaves marks on my upper brow bone. So, waterproof mascara on top, and then powder beneath the brow bone, and I'm good to go!
For eyeshadow, my favorite brand over all is Sigma and they would take my Top 3 spots. I recently ordered Angela's palette so I'm happy to hear you love it. I'm also waiting for Fiery and Spicy in that order. I didn't love the tones in Cor De Rosa but I realised that the oranges I loved are in Fiery and I feel like Fiery and Spicy will be a great combo for fall makeup. 1. Warm Wishes (it's too bad this was limited edition! I love the gold and taupy shimmers in this palette. 2. Cinderella 3. New Mod Space Cowboy reminds me of the topper in defiance by Auric. Do you have any shimmers similar to it? I should probably toss the cream shadow soonish. I wish the topper from Defiance came with Temper.
Ohh but Simmering and Sparkling from Lorac are so good! They actually compete with Sigma. I was not a Lorac girlie back in the day but the quality of thise mini palettes made me want to drop like $130 to get noir, soleil and fairytale forest. Maybe it will be a black friday splurge.
I think you should try the Limitless lash by Ilia, it’s SO good, it feels so lightweight and lengthening, it’s probably the best mascara I’ve ever tried, i think you’d like it
Kelly, have you done a Whiskey Business tutorial? I'm trying to challenge myself to move into mattes and have it...but don't know the best way to use it and end up going back to my shimmer safety net!
I track my makeup uses, and I have used my ABh dip brow 372 times since I bought it 2 years ago. It still has more than half left. It lasts forever in the brow, like you said though you have to have barely any on the brush. Way netter value per use than a drugstore brow pencil.
@oxfordstyle5807 how do you track your makeup uses? I’m super curious because I want to do the same. I have all my makeup products entered into a database (Notion), that’s where I keep notes on wear, expiration dates, etc. i’ve contemplated tracking use in that same database, but that would involve having to do a search every time I use something and it takes too long so I don’t do it.
I would love a few tutorials with the huge ColorPop pallet. I am new to makeup and I am lost with eyeshadow. I LOVE the CaliRay mascara. I LOVE the Whiskey Business pallet, too. Thanks to Kelly!!
I was browsing the makeup at Target the other day. My Target does not have Sigma but does have Colourpop. Those little Milani palettes were sold out in every shade but the berry tones. I was like look at Kelly influencing people to clear them out of my Target! I'm not huge on berry tones so I passed. I also had to toss out all of my lipsticks due to an infection. I was so sad Maybelline is discontinuing the lipsticks I love from them. Target had some shades left, but not my old fav's.
I also love the Milani Whiskey Business!! I hear the Milani shimmers are terrible and Whiskey Business is an all matte so that particular one is perfect ✨ I got it at Wallgreens. The Targets near me are chronically out of stock of makeup. Per lipsticks, I hear L’Oréal is good
Here's my unpopular opinion: I simply don't get the hype for the e.l.f. Lash N Roll mascara, it does n-o-t-h-i-n-g for my eyelashes, zero length, zero volume, no curl, I mean nothing! it's like applying a clear mascara, I don't have the best eyelashes but I don't think they're the worst either... I'm probably the only one who did like it 😒
