This is the BEST description of the fantastic features on the 570. I’ve watched many videos and this one really answered my queries and helped me to settle my decision on which model to buy. Thanks!
Parrot is adorable! It's a really smart move to teach him all about the machines. So next time a new customer comes into a shop instead of repeating the same sale pitch parrot can take care of it.
Hi, Cody! I'm also a new owner of a😁😁 570QE. Thank you so much for your instructions/demos. You go at a great pace (not too fast) and it is so much appreciated. Will watch your other Demos. 😁
I bought my 570 during the pandemic & have so much to learn. I have had a ton of issues with it, BUT it is now in the right hands getting fixed! And I am being told these are really great machines & I will love it once it's all fixed. I wish I lived closer to you guys, you are amazing at explaining things, so glad I found you. ❤ My local dealer is terrible & I will no longer purchase from them. 😢 Thank you again for all of your vids!
Great video. My only problem with Bernina is if you move after purchasing, your new Bernina store will not help you w a question about machine since they didn’t make money off of you. This makes me angry since I will be supporting my new store with purchases in the future. If you purchase a Chevy, or Lexus you can go anywhere for questions and service but not w these expensive machines. I own 5 Bernina’s. Now that I moved and ran into issues, treated like I have the plague! I wouldn’t pay top dollars for another. And I want the 790 but until this is changed I’m not putting out 10,000+ because I have to move again w military in another year.
I agree with you. I bought a trade in never again. Did not even come with a needle. How they got it is how they sold it. The computer is giving problems already. the automatic needle threader does not work . So sad because i really wanted to take classes with them.
I LOVE your videos. Great pace and very informative. As others have stated, the parrot is super distracting. I have ADHD, and it almost makes it impossible to concentrate long enough to absorb the info. I'll definitely keep watching your videos though! Great teacher. I've had my 570 for a year now and I'm still learning how to use it's millions of functions! Best machine ever!
Yeah Pete has to dominate the stage and always has to talk when someone else talks so bless his heart he’s not allowed in the studio when recording anymore. Because he doesn’t know when to keep his mouth shut 🦜. Haha. So happy you love my videos I enjoy making them and glad they are helping you out 😀
Pete is such a beloved little guy around here. Sometimes he has an option about everything haha so he isn't always allowed around while filming. haha He's been my sewing buddy for almost 20 years now. :)
@@sewingwithcodyandpete8651 He is indeed a pretty bird! A man I worked with many years ago “inherited” a parrot when his aunt passed away. They thought the bird was about 30 years old at the time. They can have a long life span, living to be 50 or 60.
I have a 570 QEE now and am considering the new 790 Pro. I do mostly quilting, some embroidery and craft projects. Very little garment sewing. I love the 570 and am wondering if I should upgrade or not. Not sure if the money is worth it. Any thoughts?
I just found your channel and am thrilled that I did! Your videos are so clear and concise. You have made it so easy to learn the ins and outs of my new Bernina machine!
Love your videos! I can really understand what to do with this and it is ready for review any time! Here I go practice - the Kimberbell Vintage Boardwalk quilt top is just finished. Ready to quilt! Wish me luck! Thank you!
Sorry for the late reply. To start off with the answer is no but a soft no. The dual feed isn't the same as the walking foot but it is similar. The best way to describe the difference is; the dual feed is a light duty walking foot so it does basically the same thing it's just not as strong and robust as the walking foot. The walking foot has much more traction because it's "feed dogs" the moving mechanism on the walking foot is much larger so there is more traction to move your projects. Most of us use the dual feed all the time for our everyday sewing its wonderful for that. However if we are doing quilts that are larger than a large baby or lap quilt we find the walking foot to be more helpful because when we are dealing with all of that bulk from the quilt and the drag it really helps pull that quilt along.. However the downside to the walking foot is it is maxed at the 5.5mm stitch width so it can't make large decorative quilt stitches like the D feet with the dual feed. I like to use simple but large wave stitches to quickly quilt some sample quilts for the shop but the walking foot can only make small waves but the 10D or 1D is capable of making some nice large 9mm waves. I get that question a lot. I also get "should I but a walking foot if I have the dual feed?" my question to them is "Are you planning on quilting?" if the answer is yes then I do recommend it because it is very beneficial. It's also beneficial if you are working with really bulky fabrics like fleece, or velvet. Hopefully this helped. :)
Thank you so very much, I really appreciate your reply. Based on your videos I bought a Bernina 570 yesterday. I am in Australia, had I have been in the US I would have have bought my machine from you. thankyou again.
Hello Cody! Can I be selfish and ask for more videos with overlocker. Just got my first one and your videos are the best! I would love to know how to choose between so many stitching options and which one are good for which projects. Thank you!!!
I watched a video last night with you talking about the different ways to tie a knot but I can’t remember which video it was. Can you help me? Thanks so much.
You just made my embroidery so much easier. I use really tiny letters with microthread and have been having to work hard to trim the jump threads (which I'd never heard of but certainly dealt with) when all done. Thank you so very much!!!
Great tips. Is this the latest 570 edition? Also, what is the difference between the 570 QE and 570 QEE? Are they the same? Sorry, trying to learn more about Bernina Machines.
I founded your channel, subscribed and what I want to say is that I have a Bernette b79 and I can make perfect embroidery’s... I have it only 2 weeks and I can’t work with it properly... :-/
Yeah it’s sucks. We also hate for customers to have to wait and some dealers unfortunately wait til someone purchases a machine before they order it. But it will be worth the wait.
@@sewingwithcodyandpete8651 I ended up getting the 590 (it was enroute) and picked it up yesterday! I hope you do videos for it. I’ve been watching your channel for several months and love how you explain things.
