I have owned my 570 for 5 years now and it runs the same as the day I bought it. I quilt for a children's charity and use it almost daily and it has never failed me. Love, love, love it!

This perticular sewing machine is what I've been looking for. The Bernina 570 QE comes with many of the feature's I am looking for on a sewing machine. It comes with different feet for many projects. Button holes, 1/4" guide, embroidery, and more. The Creative Consolant set's you up with everything you need to know for success. What fabric to use, needle, thread, foot, width, length of stitch so very wonderful. This was very helpful for me. Both of you were top notch at explaining what the Bernina 570 QE has to offer me. I do mostly dressmaking with my Bernina 570 QE. It’s a wonderful machine, bought from The Sewing Studio in Sept2021. There are a couple of things I’d love to know, that I’ve not been able to find answers to via various online tutorials or the manual. 1. Is it possible to lift the lower thread before I begin to sew? 2. Is it possible to raise the presser foot manually? I haven’t yet attended one of your tuition days, as I live in Lancashire, will have to plan a trip. Thx.
I recently purchased the 570 and I love it, but I noticed it doesn’t come with the single hole stitch plate. Do I really need one, or will the 9mm plate be okay for straight stitching?
The single-stitch plate is worth the money as a separate purchase! I'd suggest that Bernina include both stitch plates with the initial purchase. I've had my machine for about five years now -- it does everything! I've quilted a king-size quilt on it -- yikes! -- and it takes it on like a champ. I've since added a pre-owned Q20 to the sewing room for quilting -- another great buy from Bernina. You can't go wrong with these sewing machines.
Yes I would definitely recommend the single hole stitch plate! Honestly I've pieced without it before and have never had my fabric "eaten" but I know I've just been lucky 😊
Is Bernina designed using centimeters or inches? Inches here in France is something they used (as feet, elbows, puces fingers and noses) back in the middle ages

I hate this machine with a fiery passion. You have to oil it every day and it's supposed to be easy and it takes 35 mins to get in back in correctly. This machine is so temperamental and not worth the price. I will never recommend this to anyone. Ever. I was a faithful Bernina buyer until this machine. Don't buy it. Just don't.
