Gayle Thank you so much for taking the time to create this video.I swear you can read "my mind" because you answer all the questions as they appear in my mind! Thanks also for your humor! You make learning so much fun. Also your production quality keeps getting better (loved the music as the machine was stitching), keep up the great work!

This is a great tutorial. Gayle does a fabulous job. As a new to me owner of a Bernina 500, she showed so many little tips and tricks. I hope she will do more tutorials on the 500. Wish they were closer to Kalamazoo.

Just love your channel. I have the 830, the 790 plus, the 570qee and the 475. I had baby lock sergers but just bought the L890 because of the screen and the free arm. I guess you could say I’m a Bernina girl! By the way, I have never had any trouble with my 830. I waited until they had been out awhile before I bought it.

Ok I was in tears again tonight AGAIN Gayle! I ruined almost a yard of the cowboy fabric trying to do that silly golfer. I finally realized I was missing several steps. Thank you for doing this, Mike won’t have his mask for his tournament tomorrow, but I’m going to try this again tomorrow. I also think I need a heavier stabilizer since I did get some pulling. Best news I only broke 2 needles tonight, thanks again and your video is now in my library. Virtual hug! Give Miss C a love!

Make sure to touch your hoop icon and then touch the cross hairs to make sure you will be moving the needle to the center of the design. Touching the crosshairs will result in the ring turning yellow.

Your tutorials are always helpful. I have a Bernina 570QE and followed along with you but the machine won’t start. It keeps flashing back to a screen with a 26 pressure foot (which I have) and a stitch plate 0 mm. Do I need to buy a separate stitch plate to get this to work.?
@BERNINAofNaperville

No. You literally need to select the 26 foot and select the straight stitch needle plate. There is no sensor for the machine to know this.

I see this video was recorded in 2021, but it has truly been a big help to me. I have been avoiding using the embroidery on my machine. I thought I was ready, but my sewing machine vibrates terribly when I embroider. Any suggestions on the type of table to purchase to prevent the vibration?

A sturdy table meant for sewing. I recommend the Horn or Koala cabinets.

Is the embroidery the same on the 535 vs 500?
@BERNINAofNaperville

The 535 does not have pinpoint placement, thread away and some other features but essentially all of the bernina machines with embroidery capabilities work the same.

@BERNINAofNaperville
@BERNINAofNaperville 3 года назад
Hi Marthese- when you are doing a ton of free standing embroider it is good to stop down, clean out the machine, oil and sew out on a scrap fabric. I think you are probably running the machine too long without a break for a pit stop.

@@BERNINAofNaperville Thank you for your reply.Is there a time limit of hours how much the machine can work constantly embroidery especially the free standing laces ? Is there a guide on how much rest the machine needs.I was giving around 15/30 minutes rest after each piece of embroidery.The average of constantly working of each piece took around 3 hours except the small pieces which took about 1 hour .I always set the machine on low to medium speed to make embroidery.

@@kimwood5239 well I’ve heard of Floriani, and yes. Also as long as thread is 40wt (what most embroidery designs are created to work with) it should be fine. Floriani is not a brand we carry as I do not like the sheen as it tends to change once pressed and washed. But you for sure should try it and form your own opinion.

We have a separate video on that because there are many hoop options. You can view it here ru-vid.com/group/PLo4TNRnRD-4q74Cspeom1UoIgDZlZJNiT it starts at 6:30 I think. On the video I’m this link (not the video here with your comment).

@BERNINAofNaperville
@BERNINAofNaperville Год назад
Did you select the hoop icon, then select the circle with the crosshairs? Make sure there’s a yellow ring around that which will set the needle in the middle of the design, and if the design is centered it will bring your hoop to center.
