Clowns!...You had me cracking up.LOL.....and your right the Ellis 1800 bandsaw is so presise its unreal. Ellis makes a very,very nice bandsaw. Viewers may not be aware that it also turns into a simple vertical bandsaw also, which I need occasionaly and is very handy and a super smart design from Ellis.

Kevin, if someone doesn"t like your art, you can put him/her under that hydrolic table and lower it down. Best tooll of them all.

Nope, because then I have the mess to clean up afterwards. Now I just get out the ban hammer and go to it!

Thanks Kevin, a lot of people are envious but you have to grow your business and skill set. It’s been fun watching you do that on RU-vid. Thank you for taking the time to teach us - you are the number one authority on this platform. So here’s my question: what budget tools would you recommend to people just starting out, based on your experience? I think an anvil and the HF rod bender? Cheaper welder or would you save up?
@KevincaronSculpture
@KevincaronSculpture 2 года назад
I appreciate that! As to what machines to get if you are just starting out,, A decent mts welder for sure. Grinder, hammer, o/a torch for heating, bending and cutting. steel welding table and a vise. Some ppe and a good helmet. Now get to work and have some fun!

Have been looking at a smaller version of this lift table for the motorcycle at home. Something that is sunk into the concrete to work/clean the motorcycle.

Have the same Ellis 1800 saw , have one of those 52 inch 3 in 1 slip roll/brake/shear tools (works ok, not great but better than nothing) . Have a couple Miller welders , but am looking at the everlast machines (the mts 275 has tig wave form control which is what interests me). Have plasma cutter but not the cnc table, would be nice to have , or a water jet .....but don't have the loose $$$$ for either. The table though is great , problem is those are a bit hard to purchase easily. Unless you can find a auto repair shop like Kevin did it's going to be hard to install one of those in a home shop or even a rented shop unit (landlords don't take kindly to installing permanent fixtures in their buildings). Kevin has a great shop no doubt.

I am very lucky! Not only to do this for a living but to find this garage and have all this space! Granted its only 1800sqft but I came from an 8 ft by 10 ft pad outside my garage. To have a roof over my head and after I installed them, doors that close and lock!

I moved into this shop from 1/4 of the garage at home. My "workspace" was the pad outside that was 8 ft by 10 ft.

I would love to have a lift table like that. I have a bit of an off topic question for you. Do you think it's reasonable to charge customers a bit more to fabricate structures for them from round tubing, on the basis that it takes more time to properly notch and fit-up?
@KevincaronSculpture
@KevincaronSculpture 2 года назад
Yes, absolutely! Or just adjust your prices when you are doing tubing. No need to explain.

@@KevincaronSculpture okay, thanks! And please keep on sharing your experience and insights with us. You know there are many people out there that can't afford to pay for formal training, but thanks to channels like yours, they can still learn to do things properly, do quality work for their customers, and earn enough to have a decent quality of life. Keep up the good work 👍🏼.

Kevin, im a fan of your art. I started doing metal doors for friends, and i took all the examples of how to from you. I appreciate you for that. I have a weird question, how do you curve inch and a half square tubing without it twisting? I bought that same harbor freight manual tube bender. But when i start bending the tube, it starts out fine but then starts to twist. Any suggestions? I’m trying to do a circle within the door. Thanks Kevin.
@KevincaronSculpture
@KevincaronSculpture 2 года назад
You need the correct dies for square tube. There is a set for just what you are working with. Lots to see if you search for square tube bending dies.
