I’m in the ER boys. Going on day 3. Missed my 5k race today because of it. Run one extra mile for me today 💪🏽 Watching these motivates me for when I heal up.
Most do a 7 inch short as well. I like the 4 and 5 inch ones from Nike but so people obviously like them a bit long. Nike do the 7 inch in the trail running ones as well as the others he showed as well.
@@restored_soules7453 I carry phone in hand if I ever bring my phone. Absolutely 2-3 inch split shorts with built in liners are the way to go. I promise you
@@Byourowncoachstrongly agree. Also, I don’t see why anyone would carry their phone while running. Leave it at home, it’s quite cumbersome and doesn’t allow you to run properly.
I just bought some Nike 2” shorts. i mostly see guys in 5” so wasn’t sure if im over doing it lol…. I definitely started at about 7” and over time smaller and smaller
I have 3 of them. Love them. The only problem is the sawing of the elastic waist band is creating small bleeding for run more than 15k. I solve it by putting tape on my skin before going out, but when I forgot ow boy! Looking for adding a new pair to my rotation for long run
Thanks for sharing! Until I got really in to running I didn’t realize how much of a difference proper running shorts can make . What sizes you normally wear? I think we are almost the exact same height.
It's mostly the waist band that's the difference especially in the good Nike running shorts. It tends to be a nice flat smooth material. I just recently got the Nike ADV Aeroswift half tight and they are very good, quite expensive but I got mine on a decent discount, can see why loads of people wear them in the marathon ect.... As for size I'd guess he is a size small in the Nike one (that's what I am) as as they fit from about 28inch upto 31inch. I'm 190cm tall, about 73kg 39 years old and wear 30 inch waist in jeans.
@mattchoi. Do you always carry your phone when you train? I see you carrying it all the time? Do any of your shorts support a phone in pocket? I just got the janji tights they work well for a phone however I don’t always want to wear them because they do not leave much to the imagination if you know what I mean.
Your shorts appear to be mostly 5inch… I am older than you, and I feel like my generation wore a little bit longer and more baggy short (when working out/playing ball) I run in 9 inch shorts. 5 inch just seems so short. Did you feel like a 5 inch short was too short prior to buying your first pair?
Shorter shorts tend to not cover your knees and limit your legs movement so appearance wise I would suggest you give them a shot. If you could not get over the length then I suggest you take a look at 7” one. 9” is like basketball length imo.
@@williamlackey123 again. Men wore short shorts to exercise, play sport, even in military training(in the 60s). Long shorts and baggy clothes wasn’t a thing until the 90s. You can dislike them, but Im just trying to open your mind. Short shorts has been popular for decades. It’s not a recent trend.
@@dmnfilms6040 I get that. NBA players back in the day wore short shorts. Hated em then and I hate em now. I’d rather wear knee length compressions like Kipchoge wore in Boston this year. Won’t ever catch me wearing my sisters shorts.
These are proper shorts that it was made for men originally in the first place. Eg. 1940s-1990s ,over the centuries , BC times , bibical times , Roman times and some troops wore them in the hot climates. Etc. Etc.
