I picked up their Sandalwood on the recommendation of many including you. It is absolutely wonderful, I wasn't fully prepared though because I didnt realize that it was the scent my Grandpa used. It brought back a lot of memories in addition to being a fantastic scent. Cheers Sir.
Nice video Kevy. My top 5 from what I've tried: 1. Sensitve/Jermyn St (best scent) 2. St James (similar to Sensitive in scent but a bit milder scent to my nose - less complex) 3. Eton College (a bit better performing) 4. Avocado (a bit better performing) 5. Lavender or Almond (simple milder scents) Not a fan of sandalwood but YMMV -a bit too floral for my taste but I can see why people like it.
I have the tobacco leaf , sandlewood but my favourite from toobs is the sensitive one it’s smells absolutely elegant and classy , I’ve got namka and splash recently and that’s incredible
I enjoy watching your video's, very informative with great content. I started wet shaving last month. After watching many video's I selected Sandalwood and then Coconut. Both are great but Sandalwood is my top pick.
Fantastic list Kevy!!! I love TOBS! I have about 8-10 of them myself, and use them quite often also. If I had to rank them from 5 to 1, my ranking would be Sandalwood, Platinum, Tobacco Leaf, Cedarwood, and Royal Forest. Cedarwood is one that not a lot of people have, but it smells heavenly.
I love my TOBS grapefruit! Such a clean and natural scent. I've also smelled their coconut cream which has a very nice sweet scent, and of course their sandalwood, also great!
Hi Kevy- great video; thank you! Very nice top five selection of TOBS shaving creams! They certainly do have quite a selection to choose from. I hope you have a great rest of the weekend. Take good care and be safe and and be well. Best regards, as always, Kevy!
Hi Kevy. I have only one TOBS cream because it's hard to get a hold of and it's quite expensive here in Turkey. The one I have is the Lime Zest and I love it.
I've only purchased three TOBs so far; the sandalwood, cedarwood and Mr Taylor's. My favourite by far is the cedarwood. I love that cologne smell. Brilliant.
Hola Kevy !! A very varied choice, very good honestly, TOBS has a large catalog of essences, it is very difficult to choose, I think that each one will have their favorites, personally I think my favorite would be one that has the main essence of Creed green Irish Tweed, but leaving aside from the incredible TOBS essences we will all agree with the following: TOBS is undoubtedly one of the best shaving creams for its performance and quality.
My favourite is a rather peculiar one and it's Organic. It's a superb neutral cream which is so creamy and slick, but I love it for the reason it is ideal for the finishing fragrance you don't want a soap/cream to interfere with. In terms of a scented TOBS : Grapefruit.
Kevy👍👍 From first to last of my TOBS creams; Sandalwood, Grapefruit, St James Luxury, Organic Natural, Lemon-Lime and Cedarwood. I have others in the line: Eton College, Platinum ETC., but these are the most used. Love me some TOBS creams, always a good experience. Need to expand my collection but it's hard to choose. Nice video. Enjoy!
Hi Kevy, my favourites are Eton (by a mile and cant believe its not on your list), Grapefruit, Avocado, Royal Forest. The Avocado in my opinion is underrated, it reminds me of a flower shop with the fresh clean smell of cut stalks of flowers. I just got Tobacco and Lime Zest to try but not used them yet.
I've only tried the cedar wood and it's good but I'd prefer a stronger scent. I hope to try the sandalwood as I was a big fan of Crabtree & Evelyn's which is no longer available.
I have Almond, Grapefruit and Lemon Lime. I have tried samples of Eton College and Jermyn Street. Grapefruit is my number one. Hope to see your top 5 of Harris, Trumpers and Trufitts.
Nice video again. I have 3 TOBS creams and 1 soap. Jermyn street soap comes in at 1, cedarwood is 2 grapefruit is 3, sandalwood is 4.. I enjoy using them all.
I have the Royal Forest and really enjoy the scent and also the lather. I would like to try the Sandalwood but not sure if I would have some skin irritation maybe should get a small sample and try that. I made a mistake and bought a full size of Blood orange from Wet the Face and it burns and irritates my skin.
Great video Kevy, thank you. I've only tried one TOBS, and it's good to know that it's your favorite one ;) It must be popular for a reason, right? Next in line for me is the grapefruit ;)
I own only one TOBS and this is SANDALWOOD and it is my favorite cream considering scent. I'm a fan of sandalwood scent :-). If I consider shaving performance, my favorite shaving cream is TABAC ORIGINAL. I plan to buy TOBACCO LEAF in the near future. Cheers, Kevy traditional shaving with bartgee
Love the lime. Dont put them high on drying time though. Seems to dry out quicker than a good tallow soap. I like it thick though. Probably just me.I shouldn't say much though. I think i have 15 different Soaps from them. Hahaha!
I don't have enough TOBS creams to make a favourite, let alone a list, I do like the aroma of the TOBS Sandalwood, unfortunately, I get a bit of reaction and it causes me to have constant sneezes for an hour after shaving. TOBS does make reliable slick lathers quickly and I enjoy shaving with it.
I bought a sample pack of various TOBS creams (about 15) when I started wet shaving last year. I didn’t find a bad one in the lot. I bought the sandalwood and the avocado from the samples. I didn’t get the tobacco leaf in the sample pack - I had better buy it!! :)
Sandalwood all the way brother! I have the cream, aftershave, and cologne. Might get the bar soap and the preshave oil. It's probably my favorite smell of all and they have a TON of products in the Sandalwood line. It's a perfect scent!
IMO TOBS are the best creams from the London shops. Coconut is my favourite, I've not tried them all, I have visited the shop many times (pre covid) to smell them.
I just went back to using TOOBS shaving creams. I used them for about 5 or 6 years a decade ago. Unfortunately, the intensity of the scents seems to have greatly diminished over the years. Not sure if I'll continue with them. My two favorites were Lavender and Peppermint, which was incredibly potent - but apparently no more.
Hi Kevy, I just bought my first TOBS (peppermint) I like it but I use a electric wet shaver due to my cerebral palsy and I find that it's not as slick which I'm sure you can understand how helpful that is when making circular motions with an electric razor. I was wondering which TOBS(s) you find has the most residual slickness? What I like about TOBS is that I can rub my dry boar brush into the tub briefly, then wet the brush under the tap and start bowl lathering. Love the channel!
I really enjoy the TOBS Sandalwood cream, too. I've always been interested in the Sandalwood hard soap TOBS produces. Have you tried it, and if so, how's the performance?
From what I have tried, those are the best shaving creams on the market. I would be completely satisfied if I had to only use TOBS Grapefruit for the rest of my life.
Hi Kevy to this day I have never tried any TOBS. But I sure will one day. Because I see from you that she must be very good. But now I have a new soap from Tabaco and that one lasts a very long time. And it really smells great a little old style but the performance is great. Next will be the TOBS sandalwood. I also have three soaps from Yaqi, Malibu, Pinacolada and Lemon / Lime and Cedar. I can shave every day for the next 100 years. Hehehe 😜
My very first TOBS was Sandalwood but, pleasant as it may be, I am amongst those who have problems using this scent to shave. Have you tried Rose? Which rose scented shaving soap do you consider best (if any)? Enjoy your weekend.
I have tried a sample of the Rose cream and its very good. Soap Commander Love is a great rose scent. Wickhams English rose is lovely too and also Martin de Candre rose is stunning. Kevy 🙂
My No. 1 would be the Platinum edition. I have the hard puck. But the scent is to weak on the hard soap. Maybe Sandalwood. Great stuff! New formula is much better than the old terms of slickness. Sandalwood is medium, as the Grapefruit is. Platinum is a lot better!
Nice Video Kevy. I have the Grapefruit too. Really realistic indeed! Creed Aventus has pineapple scent in it. So it would be correct thinking about pineapples 😉
Great write up as usual Kevy. Out of curiosity have you tried the Eton College ?. I have the aftershave but not the soap and I rate the scent highly. Anyone else tried it ?
TOBS st. James Collection, haven't seen many people using it but it was my very 1st one about 1 and a half year ago! I would describe it as a Classy English smell with a lot of finece. Now beeing From Greece and never before set foot in Englad take this with a pinch of salt 😂😂
I've only had 2 TOBS I had the sandalwood couple years ago when I was a novice D.E Razor shaver lol I currently have the Eaton collage collection one I am definitely going to be buying another one now the tobacco leaf appeals to me....HOW long dose a tub last as in expirey date
Great video Kevy 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼💈 I got my TOBS Royal Forest smells like Creed lol 💈👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 List is here: 1. Luxury St. James TOBS 2.Sandalwood TOBS 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 3.St. Jermyn St TOBS I need two more to make it 5 lol hmm choices choices maybe lime & Tobbaco leaf to add on..I’ll have to order Take care Alan H
@@kevyshaves4109 And whats your opinion , for The Sensitive Skin. The TOBS Almond, Rose, Cedarwood, and Avocato? On The Black Friday I Buy The TOBS Sandalwood. The P.A.A Cube 2.0 Mentholated, Match Fine on The Performance and Smell , with The TOBS Sandalwood, and other TOBS? Thank You.
Coconut didn't make it :O tbf that's the only TOBS product I own. 😂 Visited last summer, I was like a kid in the sweet shop. 😂 TOBS shave in the next vid?
Sadly, I've never had the opportunity to experience any TOBS but this video has helped me immensely! I intend to kill two birds with one stone, so to speak. I have never experienced ANY formulation of Creed Avantis and ordering a tub of this would tic off both boxes. This is will be one of my Christmas gifts to myself. Thank You very Much! You have no idea how exciting this bit of serendipity is for me. :D ;-)
