There are two kinds of stories in this world: stories people turn to when they're bored, and stories they drop everything to get back into. And there's a real, observable difference between the stories that serve as a distraction and the ones that truly entertain and excite: a little thing called SUSPENSE.
Good stories, no matter what genre, engage their reader on a deeper level, and suspense is the KEY to doing that. When suspense is done well, it turns a reader into an investigator. They start looking for answers to all the questions you're raising--which means now, it's personal.
So how do you do this? How do you write suspense so good, it keeps your reader invested until the very end? In this video, we're talking about my top 7 tips for writing thrilling, gripping, enthralling suspense.
