Your opponent was very consistent on the baseline. Moreover, he was playing so comfortable in the second set, so he was really confident in the super tie. Concerning you, I really like your style, being agressive. The ball which you rised when you were losing 2-0 in the tie-break from the first set was amazing. You got to change the influence of this set and won it

Felix that first serve first forehand is really working well. I see that as one of your big weapons. That work on the serve is paying off and I agree you just have to keep hitting those textbook shots at a high level of quality/execution. Great work. I liked the attacking the second serve and coming in as well.

Great playing Felix! The way you played the 4th and 5th points you won in the 3rd set tiebreaker is the exact way you should play all the time. A nice blend of patient tennis with attacking tennis on the right ball. You could tell you lost your belief in staying patient with him and you rushed the net a few times on the wrong balls. In saying that, you played awesome and you should be super proud! Good luck in the next tournament.

Your definitely in the right place to go pro being in England. First of all the amount of high level adult tournaments there is way more than in my country. Also England is very close to most countrys where u will compete in the futures. This is a big advantage being close to home most players go away for a year at a time to go pro as I am from newzealand. I remember watching you as a junior we were around a similar level but honestly now you’d beat me comfortably with all this hard work you’ve put in.

Hey mate, well played. You did really well and improved a lot since the last time when he won in straight sets against you. I've played in a tournament with Liam before and I know for a fact he has spent hours a day practicing his serve; it's his best shot and has won him many matches. I think playing to his backhand as you mentioned at the start is a great strategy. I felt like when you hit to his backhand, he was never really in control of the point. If you could get your backhand cross court more rather than in the middle that would have been better. One other thing is when you're defending and the opponent has the whole court to aim at, I think it's often best to fake covering the open court but remain where you are because a lot of the time they will just hit the ball back at you. He won a few key points just hitting it where you were first positioned. Your serve has improved a lot since the last match so keep going with everything, you're doing really well!

your serve has improved a massive amount and is a real weapon now, well done. Really like how you were pressing coming to the net but sometimes you were coming in on 'hospital balls' and gave your opponent an easy target. Just be a wee bit more picky about when you come to net, try not to approach on cross-court shots as it gives your opponent an easy pass. Another brilliant match, well done Felix!

That was an amazing match. The best player I know in my area is a UTR 12, so I knew you were in for a battle. You played an amazing match, you def were creating your own opportunities with the big flat approaches and finishes at net. Overall the quality of your first volley is super high and fun to watch. Your opponent was just so tough, but its obvious you're building the skill kit needed to compete against and beat those kinda opponents! You certainly could've won that match if just a few things had gone differently! Keep it up!!!

Hey Felix! Love watching your videos man. I admire you for chasing your dream full force. One thing I’ve noticed in your videos is you sometimes preface a match with how good your opponent is. How his rating is higher than yours, etc. I think going into matches with this in your head might subconsciously limit you. If you lock in with the mentality that you’re the top dog no matter how you’re playing, maybe it’ll help you get over the hump. Every match you lose you seem to be right there. Keep grinding man!!!

Great job Felix! Awesome to see the progression you are making. Anytime Liam got to the middle of the court vertically he was dangerous. He has a great touch on those volleys. When you pushed him back to the baseline, it was giving you a lot of options and winning you more points. I wonder if you have anyone going through the videos and doing a statistical analysis of where you were at when you won points in a match vs lost them. You may want to see if someone on Fiverr will do something like that (basically have them watch every part of the original sets, create quadrants on the court, and count each and every hit both you and your opponent made) - I figure the more info you have, the better you can gameplan - just a thought.

At 3 3, 15/0 you had amazing strokes, and then you hit the forehand cross court and came to the net. This is perfect example of wrong anticipation. It is better to take the next shot earlier instead of coming to the net after hitting to your oponent's forehand, because it will still take a way the time from your oponent. If you hit to your oponent's backhand then yes it is of course good idea to come to the net. Keep fighting and keep trying you will achieve your goal. Full respect for going after your goal.

Well played, man! I know it's a loss, but if that's the level of the players you will be playing at Futures events, then you've proved you're there! Don't you dare give up, I want to see you at an ATP Challenger at least! 😉 A comment on the match, he seemed to make a lot of mistakes in the first set because you were coming to the net and forcing those errors. The second set he didn't make as many mistakes and of course his serve was very dominant throughout. Unfortunately that's a theme that's going to continue as you go forward, so my advice would be to master your return game. Always be on the look out for tiny cues with people's serves, anticipation is the name of the game! My favourite interview is Agassi talking about Beckers serve and his little ways, for reference. Anyway, love the content - keep it up bro!
