My TrakRacer TR8 Pro Cockpit upgrade & build

Showcasing the full build of my new cockpit upgrade. This is Trak Racer's Tr8 Pro. I previously had Trak Racer's TR8 and it was awesome, highly rated. This just was more fine tuned and had strengthened bracing and more stability and wheelbase adjustability.

hey, nice review! Where did you get the sparco seat? It's not an option on the website. Was it easily installable?

Hi I got it from racerindustries in Australia. They have an online store. And yes very easy install. 4 bolts included fit on any side mount brackets. My trak racer came with the side brackets and they fit perfectly

Thanks for the review , i was wondering about the wheelbase, is it a universal mount with the rig or you buyed it seperatly . I like the rig but the wheelbase from the bottom will certainly move with the fanatec

Hi, the side mount is separate attachment from the cockpit. Still by trakracer and it just bolts onto the provided base. I liked my fanatec side mounted because 4 screws is better than 3 if mounting from the bottom of the wheelbase

Hey mate no none at all. Perfect hole alignments and simagic even give you long ass Allan key to help screw

Is this the only position you can mount the CSL dd base on the TR8. I’m trying to figure out the best way to get the monitor just after the base but my dd+ doesn’t have that long of a shaft and would a different cockpit be a better option.

Hi, the tr8 is a good frame. I recommend you do what I did and buy the seperate trakracer monitor stand. It's seperate item so you can move it closer or further away from your wheelbase/frame as you please. It's a solid piece of kit and not too expensive

How is the sparco? I looked at the track racer gt and it looks realy cheap and sweaty. How much did the sparco seat cost? AUD

The sparco is the best investment ever. I also came from the TR GT bucket seat and although it looks nice, it really doesn't stand up to the quality and performance as the actual sparco seat. I remeber not liking the feeling of the TR seat where if I braked hard, I could feel the back of the seat cave out / flex even though fibreglass. I didn't like that at all. Materials decent enough but I really didn't like it. The sparco however is perfect and sturdy and still. Actual seat. I got it for $800aud from racerindustries.

@timtamtung do you think this would work with the Oversized gt/Formula bracket? My thoughts is that it may sit too high when in the neutral position limited by the deapth of the seat. In the Formula position it would work though.

@@ivana6141 it will work as long as it is sided mounted holes on the seat. The seating position sits natually low, tbh so i have the wheel up close to my face level as you can see. but I prefer that because if you sit in a real race car, you sit low anyway and you can't really see beyond the dash haha

I'm thinking about getting the same rig with the Logitech Pro Wheel. Is there any way for the wheel base to be adjusted or mounted lower?

I don't think you can adjust the height. you can adjust the tilt angle though

Hello! Do you remember or can you try, approx how tall the smallest person you recommend is? Is it suitable for my 140cm child? The Trak racer wrote for me that it is suitable from120cm, but I'm afraid only because of the sale.

Hi 140 is very suitable. Professional chair and good snug fit. This is standard sizing and no issues for you
