I love Innsbruck.. well, the whole of the Alps is stunning! I worked for a holiday company in 88. I'm sure you must have seen the type of thing.. 3 weeks touring all over Europe on a luxury coach, staying in nice hotels every night.. The guests were all from India, Pakistan, Kashmir.. and were mainly strict vegetarian. In those days apart from the UK, it wasn't easy for them to have food on the move daily, so.. I used to drive a mobile home, (or an RV in American) with two Indian chefs onboard. I had to follow a coach all over Europe stopping wherever the coach stopped every lunch & dinner time.. We'd start in Amsterdam & end up in Switzerland going via Hamburg, Stuttgart, Innsbruck, Venice, Napoli, Crete, Florence, Pisa, then finish in Interlaken.. That was my bit done.. they flew to the UK, I'd drive back to Amsterdam, meet another group of travellers and set off for another 10 day trip.. Rai Travel was the company from India.. Really good memories.. 💖😎
❤️❤️ Haha yes I have seen that type of thing :-). So nice to read through your experiences and to know that I have experienced exactly the kind of thing gives me goosebumps now. I am a Tour Leader / Tour Director for a major Tour company and I accompany Tourist groups from India to Asia and Europe. Infact 2019 I was in Europe doing London to Rome or London to Switzerland :-) But like you said, those were the days when you had to take along a couple of Indian chefs on the tour but not anymore considering there are usually Indian restaurants that you find in almost every part of Europe. Thanks for sharing your memories. And I suppose you are referring to Raj Travels and not Rai Travels ;-)
@@VaiReacts Raj travel!! Ha! I was going from memory.. I wasn't far off.. & I forgot about Rome.. we'd go after Venice in the way to Naples.. Well that's the reason I only did that for one summer.. the following years they had opened up restaurants in all the places we'd visit, so no need to have two or three mobile homes, drivers, hotel costs.. made more sense to have a business in each city open all year round!! I know we had various tour guides..but I don't remember you.. you would have been a mere child.. 😇😎
@@onlymeian58 hahahah Yes I was 8 back then. Wish I was in that era where we took Chefs along. But even till today, there are certain very specific Strict Vegetarians who take along a chef with them but very rare. Those tours come with a coat though. Interestingly, these days we don't tour a lot of places in a group that you have mentioned like Stuttgart, Hamburg, Naples, Crete etc. Thanks for sharing again.
@@VaiReacts such a small world.. I can't believe we've both worked for the same company.. probably stayed in the same hotels.. although years apart.. They were such fun days.. 😎
Thank you for sharing a great memory Vai!! That made my day. I know that when I have a bad day I will just say to myself think of something good. That's when I will bring up a happy memory!! It will work most of the time. I have a lot more good memories than bad.
