That nozzle is generally used for filling large tanks for heating oil.. and there is a special one very similar for Aircraft... typically flow a lot faster than "normal" nozzles used in the US

1. He is driving in Canada where it is extremely cold and the air is more dense. 2. The fuel also has higher concentrations of winter blends causing less mpg.

at fifth wheel truck stop we pumped both sides at once and had clickers and straps so you didnt have to hold the nozzle down the entire time, I was a diesel attendant while I went to college there, sad to see them disappearing

LED lights Josh. You can buy them almost everywhere these days, including Walmart (Asda in the UK) Less battery drain and last for years...

FYI: I use 1/2 PVC pipe (schedule 40), very inexpensive but works well to create stands/brackets for camera &/or lights. Pick up the fittings state side there are very cheap.

-I saw you play that computer game from Europe... loading in Edigburgh... The truck named Valliant was a excact copi of a european cabover Volvo FH with the low cab.. you can get an edition called Globetrotter XL with standing heights for a 6 feet tall man, but the bed/bunk is still the same

Josh Reminds my days of driving for Yanke out of Winterpeg...Back in my day Webcam were just coming out. Guys in the know ran it direct to their laptop. No GO PRO then..I did do runs in the area you were driving in. I also drove for the Pumpkin truck Company, The Orange trucking company from out of Wisconsin. As well as Landstar Ranger.. Keep it upi trucker..

Here in Chambersburg, PA it's $4.39 a gallon so basically a dollar cheaper than what Trucker Josh paid. Running a dump truck, it's the tires that burn up a lot of money for me in a years time.

Brick houses here in Virginia are typically heated by fire place or wood stoves. A 10.000 BTU wood stove can heat around 2500 Square Feet.

Great video, Trucker Josh A good lesson on how not to let other people's stuff get you down! You've got a good company behind you for not just leaving you sit 'till Monday' before they sorted it out. And, thanks sharing for the fuel math stuff - I gathered from that you are still running on a Company credit card, rather than paying for fuel and billing them back - maybe someday, you could talk about different types o/o arrangements with companies. Thanks!

When you fill up only use use push half of the leaver back to reduce splash back to give you the maximum amount of fuel for the sane money. Also try to refill at night to get the best value for money if you can.

brick houses hold heat pretty well as far as i know however if it every goes up in flames the bricks can explode from the heat. all bricks have a little water in them and if it heats enough it will cause the brick to explode. My father was a firefighter and was at a brick home fire where this happened.

diesel is more expensive but also lasts longer then gas. excess fuel goes back in the tank too

Lol why do you keep driving through VanKleek Hill? (that nice 19th cen. town in Ontario). Anyway, funny thing I spotted a Keystone Western Peterbilt flatbed last Sunday in south-end Ottawa. Your co-worker maybe? Funny thing Herb's Truck stop is an airport too!

here in the uk,£1.37 ltr of diesel,thats about £7 per gallon, and the us dollar exchange rate is $1.60 to £1.00.

Diesel is around a $1.60 a litre, at the moment, here in Australia - The Australian dollar and the Canadian dollar are about the same value, at present.

Oh my josh. You are cheating yourself out of so much money and mpg's. Cut down your speed between 60 and 62. That will help your mpg's by .5. Excellerate slowly. Pump your fuel on the lowest setting so it pumps slower, belive it or not you will get more fuel that way and save some money. Fuel early in the morning. Never let your tanks get lower than half. If you follow just these simple guidelines, you will be getting 7mpg in no time. Thats roughly $450 dollars more in your pocket.

Hey Josh! Lived in Selkirk Manitoba from 1976-1980. Manitoba is one of Canada's best kept secrets, Lake Winnipeg, Hecla Island, Pipestone Rocks and Churchill of course...You look like you are of German/Mennonite background...many in Manitoba,...Epp, Wiens, Klaasen, Friesen, Toews, etc....

When people complain about food prices i have to remind them that it has been trucked in .so when diesel is high everything goes up.I think most people just don't realize just how much fuel plays a part in the price of everything we buy.

In Western Australia I pay the equivalent of 5.38 us per gallon, so about the same as you!

One US gallon is in fact 3.785 litres. Always has been. Canadian/Imperial gallon is 4.5456 litres.

With my truck (DAF XF105 with a 460HP engine and a 800 liter tank) i can drive 2300 km.. Most of it is city driving.. and we can weigh up to 50.000kg (truck and load combined)
