At 2:08 cans do come in an 17 block just not the way its on the diagram. What I do is 16 block cans with only 5 down left side not 6. I hope that makes sense The Warehouse Series Join Discord / discord
We do produce and dairy mostly so there are crazy boxes like some the size of a pc box, some the size of a shoe box. Others like a toaster box. It’s a bit of a challenge when you have to pick 1 case of multiple items that aren’t level or same size boxes. But we play Tetris and make it work 50 pound bags of yellow onion, 50 pound cars of cabbage, 5 pound chopped romaine, potatoes, bananas, tomatoes, We fulfill prisons, schools, restaurants and dairy + specialty fruit shops.
Really love following your videos! Been an order filler for walmart dc for a few months. The info and content you provide has been super helpful with the way i stack and pay attention. Thank you!! Keep up the great videos. 👍
From a desk job to pallets. That was mighty difficult. I moved to the UK and decided to try on being a picker. I didn't know what it was so I decided to stick with it. It's my 2nd week now. First time I designed a perfect leaning tower of pizza 👌. I'm now following the channel so I can improve. Also if you have any tips for someone who not so tall as well 60kg weight so I can learn and work better. I have no targets yet set for me.
Good video tim, cases 10 and 11 on the back not only make for a weak corner but you lose on surface area. do any guys go straight up and down with soups? Perfectly built as always. I built a few orders building the far pallet first risky business because of the rocking.
1. I've never seen so many boxes the same size on one pallet 2. Do you not have three pallets? The warehouse I work in, as a selector you have a triple pallet jack, with your primary (R), secondary (S), and tertiary (T) pallets 3. I don't think I have ever seen a 17 tie. The beginning of the warehouse where I work, things come in an 8 tie or 10 tie, or 3x3 columns that have no tie. At the end, some big boxes come in a 4 or 5 tie. Anything small enough to come in a 17 tie, I would consider a small filler case.
I’m still a trainee I work for c&s in Hawaii. I’m having trouble with where to put my chemicals and having trouble with the can goods. Also what block do Gatorades come
You can but it would be a different block and number. Best way is to just look at the pallet in the pick location. One that has a dull layer so you can see the block. My only thing is for example the minute maid comes in I believe a 15 block. I 14 block it because the 15 block hangs off pallet
Yes the Minute Maid come in a 15 block, You know what your talking about I’m a 10 year vet in dairy. I have a system and was thinking about switching it up. But I’m taking notes when u pick dry goods.
Time wise all depends on order. Average, between 20 - 60 minutes. I will stop and wrap on about 5% of my orders. Most selectors wrap on 100% of their orders.
Ok awesome thanks for the quick answer, last questions did you change the 17 block format that you had once you reached waist high and would you say that ALL the PALLETS from the start of building should have the 17 block format as foundation? Thanks Again
I WORK AT SYSCO I AM A SELECTOR AND THE PERCENTAGE IS 130% AND 145% HERE THEY GIVE YOU A LIMITED TIME AND SOMETIMES THE PALETTES ARE NOT PERFECT YOUR VIDEOS ARE GOOD BUT WHEN YOU WORK WITH TIME ON TOP IT IS NOT THE SAME 😕
Hey thanks for making these videos man, Im finishing my bachelors and am planning on doing 6 months of selector work to be debt free. Ive unloaded these pallets at Wal-Mart before and definatly not looking forward to building them at PFG.
