what is really impressive to me is that the skin on your face is the same tone as the skin on the rest of your body. That is so hard to achieve. Mine is much darker than my body, and some people have much lighter. Yours is exactly the same tone, amazing.
just a word of caution to everyone: be mindful of "natural" or "clean" skincare oftentimes not having preservatives. this means products can go bad a lot quicker and even develop mold, which comes with its own health risks. i lean on the side of vegan, cruelty-free skincare that still has preservatives for my own peace of mind (so it doesn't develop mold and such). also, as people of color, we are more prone to hyperpigmentation (dark spots), so sunscreen is still important to prevent this even if you're not worried about skin cancer. SPF 30 is the minimum required for actual protection, and a full spectrum sunscreen is best. Supergoop is definitely a great one!
@@tammyz50 Vitamin E is NOT a preservative. It is an antioxidant that can help to slow down the tendency for ingredients to go rancid, but will not prevent the growth of microbes.
Sunscreen is needed@all txs really! However, one could always whip up sunscreen(diy) and w out preservatives or worry about mold. Also, any deep conditioner or face mask ect. Therefore 1 would make enuff for 3-5days depending of ingredients! Also some mold r actually beneficial for ex treating acne or even treating yeast issues. U will be surprised how our Ancestors added growth to heal and even cook gr8 dishes!
Actually, anhydrous (waterless) products do not need a preservative. Mould will not grow in a product with no water and in fact natural cold-pressed oils often have a long shelf life. It's also worth bearing in mind that the EU regulation, which governs the sale of cosmetics in the EU, is strict on recipes and ingredients. Products containing water have to be sent off to labs to be analysed for bacteria growth, whereas this is not necessary with products that do not contain water. As long as you are buying from a well known or established brand, you can be sure that their products will adhere to this regulation, and that products are safety tested and recipes well analysed.
What is the difference on your skin?. I feel like lotions are too heavy or they irritate my skin . Any suggestions. I’m trying to achieve an even tone which is so hard. I keep getting different tones all over.
I love, love, love shea butter on my skin right after a shower. I doesn't work as well when my skin is not damp. I hate how it smells though so I use it as like a deep conditioner for my skin when I can lol. No one asked, but I felt like sharing because I've been deprived of talking to other humans IRL.
I make Shea butter mixes that smell great lol. I use herbs from my tea to infuse oils and then I add them to my Shea butter. It smells AMAZING, you should definitely try it.
I've always admired how your skin just ✨GLOWS✨ Thank you for continuing to share all this information and YES PLEASE TO THE BODY CARE VIDEO! Taking care of ourselves is so important 😊 I also tried out your crispy, sticky cauliflower on my channel for the first time and WOW 🤤😭 My life has been REVOLUTIONISED!!Have a lovely evening! 😊
moisturise your eye area, that's the most important, i didn't when i was young and in my thirties my eyes suddenly went 10-20 years older than the rest of my face, and because the skin is so fragile it pulls too much to moisturise now, there's not much you can do about it by then
The rain is just adding to you looking like a beautiful, Amazonian woman in an exotic forest! Most of those base ingredients originated from those places anyway. Hope you and baby are keeping well.
i would love more skin care routines and body routines! especially just like a daily skin care routine like what you do on the usual! thank you love you!
Yes please more in depth body care routine! I'm the same with lotions. I swear by Shea butter! I'm excited to learn how you make your own. I wish you a safe and quick delivery! Love your content! I've been a fan for a while! ❤
Best skin and body care video I have watched! You have wonderful results and your recommendations are amazing (vegan, natural, affordable, etc!) thank you so much
Such a GREAT video!!!! Would love more of these from you and a body care video for sure😊 I love supergoop and so happy that The Ordinary is cruelty free!
YOU ARE GLOWWWWING!!!! Great video love ❤️ I use sunbum it’s a vegan line and the face one doesn’t leave a casty white look. However if I put too much it does. I also mix it with hemp seed oil my face loves hemp seed oil. I will definitely be trying the sunscreen you posted. Please please please do a body skin care. Blessings to you and your baby ❤️
The himalayan charcoal mask is probably my all time favorite, it works wonders! A super handy tip for easy application and reduced messiness is to use an old foundation or any similar make-up brush. It goes on so much easier, your hands remain clean + you end up using way less product. Removing it with a small damp face towel/flannel helps a lot too. PS: Your skin is absolute goals!! You're so gorgeous and literally glowing! ❤️
This is such a great video Rachel! What do you use as a cleanser/how do you actively clean your face? Thank you for sharing your vibes with us!! Take care
I have always thought you are so beautiful, and you really are glowing now! Thank you for the video and it would be fun to have a Q & A while doing makeup! Sending you all the Love and Light
My entire facial skincare is from Evolve. They are amazing. That 360 moisturiser is EVERYTHING!... I also make my own body butters. My skin laughs at lotion 😆
Please share more skin care videos. I have brown skin like you and I’m always on the hunt for natural products that actually work for my skin complexion.
