I became a Dad in 2022 and I could not imagine doing it without my partner because it can be so hard so major respect for you and all the single parents out there doing good by their kids. It's great to hear you are in a space to make videos again because my cooking has been uninspired since you have been gone!

I had four kids. Even with a partner around, the whole motherhood thing is an absolute rollercoaster. My kids are all up and gone now, but you never stop being Mum or worrying about them (my eldest just turned 40!!) However, I'm so pleased to see you back. Just do what you can and don't overload yourself. xx

How fabulous to see you again Rachel and looking so well, you were missed. This 61 year old doesn't do Instagram or FB or Tik Tok or whatever but I live on RU-vid and really missed your videos. Becoming a mother is a HUGE deal so never apologise for putting your son first. Now that he's older and a bit more independent it does get easier and hopefully you can get a bit of time for yourself to do what you want to. I'm an architectural technician so house renovations are my thing and I'm totally here for it. You'll have to show us that fabulous kitchen you are sitting in first though, it looks amazing. Do everything at your own pace Rachel. Just post videos when you can, don't set yourself too much of a schedule and we'll be here for it, you are too good and to talented to miss. Thank you for sharing a smudge of your 'personal story' with us cos no doubt there's tons more that are very personal to YOU but what you have shed light on.... i can relate to sooo much as i had my son during covid too.. and breast feed for just a shy over 2 years whilst watching over my 8 year old daughter too... with little to no support..it was... a lot of adapting on every fiber of my soul mind and body... so i felt your side of the coin deeply.. Life goes on pause when motherhood chooses you. And it shakes up your entire world.. I'm glad everything is slowly moving away from complete exhaustion.. and your feeling your way in this new space for you and your son.. 💛

As a mom of a 2.5 year old, whew I felt and heard your loud and clear. It took 2 years for me to start feeling like myself again. I’m sure your child is wonderful and we’re glad you’re back!

I am so thankful that you shared this. It is nice to hear there are others out there sharing the same experience as I am going through as a single mom. I can relate beyond words how the simple things have changed for me since having my near 3 year old. I never thought full showers would feel so good or that I would long for just 5 minutes in the bathroom without the door busting open! Blessed yes I do feel and I would not want to change this time with my daughter as she learns to navigate the day to day challenges with me by her side. It is a challenge though to remember to care for yourself when the demands of motherhood face you everday, all day. Thank you thank you for sharing..you are not alone and this is just a season. Our little ones will be older before we know it and we are going to miss this season despite all the challenges that come with it. Staying present with my little one, giving myself TONS of grace, and remembering this time passes by so fast is what keeps me going day by day
