Here is something that I have NEVER SEEN BEFORE in my lifetime and yet another one of many things that made my visit to the Meme State worth it! Here is what was my VERY FIRST K&H Elevator, located in the back of the 820 Building with the 9 Story Westy Rockets! Unlike those elevators however, this one is COMPLETELY ORIGINAL to when the building was built, and serves an additional floor! And interestingly, even though this elevator never got modded unlike the Westinghouses in the front of the building, this elevator ALSO has the exact same staged acceleration as the passengers do! It goes VERY SLOW on full throttle when going up/down the first floor or two, but after that it TAKES OFF! Unlike the passenger cars, this elevator only goes 300 FPM, but it FEELS MUCH FASTER than that! In addition to the speed on this thing, the Motor & Relays sound absolutely INCREDIBLE and I absolutely LOVE the way the crank looks! One could argue that I like it mainly cause I've never seen a K&H Crank before, but I do think it looks very nice and ornate albeit also quite worn. I have to give huge thanks to a former elevator filmer from the area for telling me about this thing, if it weren't for him, I never would've known to look for this thing as this building isn't exactly that big! As stated, this is my first K&H, which is a company based out of Chicago. Interestingly, many of their elevators use Westinghouse parts, and the Main Elevators in this building are and always were Westinghouse. I'm not sure if this elevator and the main elevators here were installed under the same contract when the building was built but it definitely leaves me wondering with curiousity....
