These elevators were pretty nice and are decently quick and definitely weren't boring, although they take FOREVER to come when you hit the call buttons! This hotel was built in 1959, and these elevators were clearly Westinghouse Selectomatic Elevators with Pop Out buttons originally prior to Otis coming in and modernizing them. You can tell by the way these run along with the New annunciator in the lobby that the controllers on these elevators were definitely replaced, but interestingly enough, these elevators are clearly using Generic MCE Logic rather than proprietary Otis controllers as suggested by the generic ACME beeps. Although the lantern chimes are just typical 90s Otis. In addition, something about these elevators that I never noticed in videos but noticed on this trip was how WIDE they are, unusually so compared to other typical passenger hotel elevators I've been on. I wonder why these elevators were installed that way, but it definitely adds a little bit more uniqueness to them. The exterior doors on these elevators are also pretty cool too, and even though these elevators were modded and the hotel was clearly renovated at some point, these elevators definitely do still have some character and the hotel has a VERY Mid Century Modern Feel to it both inside and out and I found this hotel to be a lot of fun to explore. For those wondering, yes the Service Elevators are unfortunately modded too, there is an Original Westy here that serves the ballroom levels that @EWPA14 found, but sadly due to a Convention going on at the time I was here, I didn't attempt to try riding it as I was gonna be virtually impossible to do so without getting busted.
