My dad's best friend from high school Winnie wrote the play. I was such a theater nerd so my dad surprised me with tickets to see the play and go to dinner with Winnie during family previews. And then again she let me come when it was for the journalist and I got to go backstage. These memories I will hold so dear to my heart.❤ I'm so excited

I can’t tell you enough what Wicked means to me. Growing up, The Wizard of Oz was my favorite movie. I watched it every time I went to my grandmas. She had a VHS recording of the 50th anniversary TV showing. I was so captivated by The Wicked Witch. And then I read the book, Wicked, in the sixth grade. Couldn’t put it down, probably shouldn’t have read it in the sixth grade. Haha. That was before I knew there was the musical. I first heard working summer theatre in middle school. First saw it on a chorus trip in high school. The themes of home, self-love, and self-worth have always been with me. And it’s because of Oz, Wicked, Elphaba. Having this palette and brush is so meaningful as a makeup artist. My dream is to paint women green the rest of my days. Or to be a headmistress of Shiz. lol. Just, thank you for this. Deep down, thank you.
