HIGH SCHOOL sweethearts Katie and Vince have been a couple for over 11 years and happily married for five. Nine years into their relationship; however, Vince dropped a bombshell: he - or they - were gender fluid. Identifying on some days as Natasha, a woman with long hair and bangs and an expert at makeup application, other days they revert back to the more traditionally male alter ego of Vince, the man that Katie fell in love with. A year ago Natasha went public and now Natasha and Vince enjoy shopping trips and coffee dates together - but it’s only Vince that Katie is physically attracted to.

Star Light When you put that many years into a relationship, it’s very difficult to walk away. Maybe the positives haven’t outweighed the negatives for her. Plus, many women are more open-minded the older they get. If she feels secure in her relationship, then great. If she isn’t getting her needs met or other significant problems, it’ll erode the marriage away eventually for her.

I‘m pansexual, I would have no problem with this, I‘d think it‘s cool and I‘m the most open minded person I know, - with that being said I feel like (judging by this limited information) that she‘s unhappy in the way her marriage turned out and they seems to be so thrilled to finally be out that they overlooks her emotional pain and wounds that need attending. The minute they came out, they put the weight they carried on their wifes shoulders, without realizing it, or if they did, they are so horrified by the thought of loosing her that they turn a blind eye. Maybe he didn't even know when they first got married. They said they were high school sweethearts, so they were young when they got together and likely got married right out of high school. Maybe he never thought about it until later on. I know if I had gotten married right out of high school, I would have ended up divorcing around age 21/22 because that was when I finally came to terms with my sexuality and realized that I am a lesbian. Some people don't know things right away and it takes time for you to discover who you really are.

To be diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder (split personality, how you called it) you have to have 2 or more different and disconnected identity states devided by amnesiac barriers. So nope, they're actually genderfluid. And you're disrespectful to them and to those with DID

This seems more of an identity crisis than a gender thing. Their family member hit it on the nose - “two different personalities.” I see so much sadness and uncomfortableness from Katie. Her body is literally crawling out of her skin during their interview as Natasha is speaking. It’s hard getting out of a relationship especially if you basically grew up with them (hs sweethearts) but don’t waste your life being trapped in something just because you have history together.

I 100% disagree. As individuals they should both be doing what makes them happiest. He is happy as Natasha. It's a birthright to do what makes ourselves happy and most fulfilled. I believe they should separate so that they both can be happy. He has not harmed his wife, he simply is being himself. It's the wife's responsibility to end it when she's ready. You can tell she knows deep in her heart that's coming. They both deserve to be themselves.

Good luck to them. Hopefully when she has something that she needs backup with he will be there for her. Its often a thing that one side of a relationship is more the limelight type. Good for them aslong as while the camera is off they are happy. I watched a doco about a couple into swinging. What i got out of this was a wife that went along with her husbands clearly cheating heart. He was involved and she dealt with the introductions and being a good host. Far from a couple genuinely into swinging.

This is very relatable to my life. My dad came out as transgender 3 years and my parents are still married after 25 plus years. Its been difficult to handle and in all honesty I have never really told anyone about it because I still am having a difficult time with it.

If “Truly” was truly a non bias channel they would document videos of de-transitioners as well, I feel like their voices need to be heard too, there’s a tremendous amount of negative backlash and judgement from a certain community for those people who do not necessarily want to say anything negative about transitioning but simply want to encourage proper evaluation. You don't have enough information to assume whether they love and care for their wife or not, just like you can't believe you know everything that's going on in the wife's head. Clearly, the center of this video is Vince/Natasha, so the producers asked questions mainly about them, rather than the wife. If someone is interviewing you and asking you about yourself, you are going to speak about yourself, your happiness etc. Or do you think that's weird? I mean, you don't have to be a narcissist to do that. Or maybe they did speak more of the wife, but then the producers cut it out, since they need to make a short video and it's more likely that Vince/Natasha's story will get people to watch and engage in the comment section. What I'm trying to convey is that it's presumptious to think that you already know everything about their relationship dynamics just by watching this video.

This is legitimately heartbreaking to watch. I don't have any issue with him wanting to be who he needs to be to be happy, HOWEVER, you can't have everything you want in this world and sometimes in order to be who you want to be you have to let other things go. In this case, Katie. He's being incredibly selfish, self absorbed, and seems to believe their world and marriage revolves completely around him. Marriage is a give and take and he doesn't seem to be willing to give much to Katie. I get it, I married my high school sweetheart too and we've been together 20 years. I understand how hard it would be to walk away. But sometimes the hardest road is what will bring them the most happiness in the end. I hope she reads all these comments and gets the push she needs. Everybody shaming him for not coming out right and telling her in the beginning... They've been dating since high school. this is kind of one example of many reasons why people who are so young should not be in such committed relationships. You change so much from the time you are a teenager young adult to your 30s I can't even express how much you change it's insane. Nonetheless.... I don't think this is a relationship that will last. You can read it on her face that this is not what she signed up. I don't think he maliciously planned for his life to take this turn but it's quite clear this most likely will not last forever.
