Going to be trying this tomorrow. I have a linksys as well and same thing happening. Thank you! Been watching videos here and there for a year now and still has been happening. This might help! Ill keep you updated! Thank you!
Sorry foe the lateass response, but just incase you didnt know, you edit your router settings by searching up your router ip address. There isn't a specific website that allows you to edit your settings.
Try staying wired into your router and see if the problem persists. If it does, your problem is with the connection from your ISP. If it stops then you need a new router as the Wi-Fi chip may be failing.
Another solution to the problem: Just reset your router once/day (unplug power and replug back after 15 seconds). This can be very easily automatically done by plugging router in a timer to go "off" and come back "on" within minutes. Best time to do is in middle of night when all are asleep. I have done this and it works.
I have used my Netgear Wifi router for approximately 3 years. It has worked perfectly until the last 3 nights. I leave the house around 12 noon and return around 9:30 pm. The last 3 nights, the Netgear AC1750 Wifi has stopped! I leave Boomerang streaming on all day for my cat. I get home for the last 3 nights to see a black screen with a blue line at the bottom containing the name of the cartoon that was on when the wifi stopped/turned off. I press the previous screen button and the entire selection of cartoons comes on...and I pick Bugs Bunny, as I did 9.6 hours ago, and the Boomerang streaming starts playing again! I also have a Windows 10 HP computer. The computer, modem/router and printer are each hard-wired. Will you please tell what the issue may be to my problem? THANK YOU!!!!
Thanks you, my 2.4GHz I changes to 6 but it is not giving me an option to change the 5GHz. Auto is faded out so I can't change it. Any help would be appreciated
That's probably due to a renegotiation in the transmission speed between your device and router. As you get further away the signal drops and speed reduces.
The router is from Spectrum? There is sometimes a password printed on the bottom of the unit that allows you to change settings. The basic status pages are generally not password protected. Look for an "Advanced Settings" link or similar. It would still be helpful to know the model of the Spectrum box.
Are your devices still connected to the Wi-Fi, just no internet? If so that's very likely to be a problem with your Internet provider. Next time you have an issue follow these steps; - Am I connected to the router on Wi-Fi? If no, router is the problem. If yes... - log in to the web admin of my router and check status of Internet connection. If offline, that's your issue, call your provider. If online, then you may need to replace your router. Get a replacement from Amazon that has 30 day return.
Fix My WiFi i can connect to wifi but there is no internet working but after a day it just comes back up suddenly (my modem is off but my router is on)
My connection gets interrupted when elevator moves, elevator has driver and i think it is related to it. Please guide me if there is a solution for problem
I need some help, my WiFi has been turning on off all day today it would turn on and work for about 5 mins then crash again. It’s been like this all day I don’t know what’s happening. Can I have some help pls
Do you lose all your wifi signal bars when the Internet goes out? If your WiFi is still connected but you can't get to the internet it's not the WiFi, there's a problem with the the router or it's internet link. Do you have a computer you can connect to the router via Ethernet cable?
@@WirelessWorkshopTV if u are still there can You pls help me. My wifi suddenly stops and works for 2-3 min and it crush again l, i dont know why it started before 5 days but still not fixed
@@ማሪያምእናቴ-ቈ9ዸ Is the Wi-Fi icon still showing connected when you lose internet? If it is then the issue could be with your service provider. However, if you lose all Wi-Fi signal and internet then your router could be failing. Also helpful to know if you connected any new devices at home recently?
It does. Think of Wi-Fi channels as a highway, if you and your neighbours are all on the same channel it's possible you'll start to see congestion. There are a number of free apps for android and desktop apps for mac & windows that let you scan the air for wireless networks in your area. Once the scan is complete you will see a list of wireless networks. Signal strength is typically indicated in this format "-70dBm". A strong signal is -50dBm, a weak signal is -85dBm. If there are any networks in your scan with signal strength -75dBm and above (lower number is stronger signal) you should avoid those channels if possible. This will give you a "clear road" for your own traffic.
@@crystalckmr3255 you’ll need to access the administration settings in your router. Some have a label on the back with login details. Otherwise note the make and model then search Google for a quick start guide or specific instructions on how to change Wi-Fi settings on that device.
I did not. Work is a boring reason, but the truth. I have been lucky enough to have been doing this kind of thing for work recently. Honestly, that is taking a bunch of energy with “gestures to our insane world”. We all need to be honest about how hard this all is, and treat each other with kindness. Like a bunch of us, I am a very long way from people I care about and I realized a couple of weeks ago that I miss helping my family, I like helping folks, so here I am again. Thanks for asking. 🖖
@@Paattel Aha.....well if the screen is very very cracked as you say there is every chance that the internal wifi antenna connections are also damaged, maybe the main board also.
My mommy said the internet company said the internet is no longer available on earth it’s been d so hit down forever now we have to go outside and play I’m sad now 😒 my mommy said not to worry outside is a fun place 😕
