My Wildlife Photography Editing Workflow | Make your Photos POP In Photoshop
Ever come home with a wildlife photo you're proud of but feel it lacks that extra oomph? Join me in this journey from an acceptable shot to an outstanding masterpiece using Photoshop for wildlife photography editing!
🌲 Composition Tweaks: Starting with a crop (hit 'C' for crop), we shift from center to off-center, adding intrigue and space.
🎨 Clean-Up Magic: A quick cleanup with a new layer and the 'J' tool erases distractions, letting our wildlife subject shine.
💡 Lighting Wizardry: Enhancing overall light, we create a virtual light source on the top right, making the wildlife image more captivating.
🌗 Playing with Shadows: Crafting dark areas (lower left) draws attention to our wildlife subject. Balancing light and dark is key!
🚀 Making it Pop: To emphasize our wildlife subject, a stamp visible and a touch of Camera Raw effects (texture 40, clarity 20) solely on the wildlife.
💡 Final Lighting Touches: Curve adjustments to fix overall light range, ensuring a balanced histogram and spotlighting specific areas for wildlife photography editing.
🎨 Color Mastery: Balancing red tones with color balance, adding a touch of cyan, blue, and green. Tackling distracting greens in the background with hue saturation.
🌟 Before & After Magic: Witness the transformation from a flat wildlife image to a captivating masterpiece with simple yet powerful edits!

Sorry but that lightsource thing with the radiant may look nice but about everyone seems to be doing it now so it makes it very generic and even fake to be honest. But I do like the rest of the tutorial so i admit its also matter of taste

Totally get that. To me, it’s a method to drive attention somewhere in the image, like a vignette - which tbh is also totally overused. I’m guilty of that as well … but as you said, I’d also say it’s a matter of taste. Great that you liked the rest of the tutorial though!
