Nice gaming set up dude I really like looking at other people's set up's and comparing it to my bare bones one. Hopefully one day I can afford a proper PC based set up for my gaming videos.
So you seem to be capturing from the Elgato HD60. Your review of the unit back in the day you didn't seem like you were going to keep it but you did. Do you really like it? Has it improved? I currently use the avermedia Live gamer portable, & still have my hauppauge DVR 2. I don't use the Hauppauge much but I might try it again.
i'd love to get a setup similar to this for content production and gaming. i can just imagine it now, a high end gaming rig with a nice keyboard, mouse, flightstick, xbox controller, 144hz monitor and a second pc for streaming and other multi-tasking. nice vid Rich :)
Yes! The power of the 20-60$ plastic fold out table! They're great, except when you've used it so long that it starts to bow in the center (I have a good solid one and it still does it >.>).
Hi Rich, i have the exact same Toshiba 3tb hdd. And i had the same issue with the format thingy. But i fixed it with EaseUS todo backup (the free version) and haven't had a issue with it since now over a year,it's a excellent program and i highly recommend it. I use it to do all my backups,formats & to clone OS from one hdd/ssd to another.
To me that is an amazing and extensive setup. I just got an HP Pavillion 500. Has a quad core, 8gb ram, 1tb hard drive. my peripherals include the mouse and keyboard that came with it. Plus, a monitor (NEC MultiSync LCD 2070NX) and speaker system (Altec Lansing ACS340) that I have carried across my last 3 machines, lol.
Also what kind of mic is that? I think I saw those on ebay listed as "Professional podcast microphone" for $10 from hong kong. passed on it for the blue snowball.
Awesome set up! Im a huge Korg fan. Their keyboards are amazing so that Krome will do you very well for music creation. I play a Kronos myself. But what I'm wondering is how you got ahold of those nice Berringer monitors for $60 a piece? Sweet deal! Point me in that direction haha.
Loved the video. Just wanted to say I am 100% on the same page as you with the folding tables. Originally I loved them because you didn't have to adjust when going to a LAN (years ago) but now in my life they are the perfect cheap computer desk/workstation. Just have to replace when they start to bow too bad ;-)
You already have a "bang up" beginning to the video's. Maybe the end credits for all videos should be "A Celebration Fart Production" sound bite like they do on TV.
Hey Rich... For that Toshiba Drive, i would recommend getting an external enclosure from amazon. Mine "failed" on me about a year ago but i was certain that it wasn't the hard drive that messed up, so i ordered one i took the enclosure apart and extracted the hard drive and put it into a 3.5 External Enclosure and sure enough the thing worked. Just a friendly tip hope you take it man. Cheers
HFS, We have the same wireless logitech keyboard! Did you get the mk270 combo and just ditch the mouse? I did because I like my other wireless mouse more.
Looks similar to a basement, is it cold? I thought fold out tables were a great idea for your needs. Is all of your gaming going to be done in that room? Or do you have other pcs/consoles in the rooms where the next gen consoles were previously? Where is the smaller custom pc you built? Is that in one of the other rooms?
I like the setup! Interesting you bring up the Toshiba drive issue. Internally I have always used WD, but my current mobile HDD is Toshiba. Have had it for about 3-4 years now with no problems. Although this is my first one I have never heard that up til now.
