What started out as 2 Craftsmen 13 horse riding mowers have been combined to make a yard tractor. The mower body was useless so it has been removed and gone for scrap. The rear body from one has been welded to the rear of the other to give room for a dump bed. I'm hoping to set it up to dump hydraulically. More on that in the future. I welded a pulley on the first axle pulley to run the second axle pulley. I only use the second axle for drive since the first did a little grenade job. I re worked the mounting point for the shifter to behind my seat. A little difficult shifting sometimes but long arms help. I had hoped to use both axles for drive but I think I'll need to build a flex point for both axles to be able to pivot like a tandem axle setup does. For the front plow and bucket setup, I used angle iron for the arms. The method I have the plow and the bucket attach is simple and only requires two bolts to hold the plow or bucket with a third to tilt the bucket using the height adjustment for the mower body. I used a long square bar to tilt the bucket. The bucket was a 21 inch snowblower body that I welded a plate to the bottom of to enclose it better. I welded some wear plates to help it last and also a cutting edge. A come-a-long works well for raising and lower the loader arms. I have a boat's hydraulic setup I will be adapting to use for raising and lower the loader arms. I will have up and down pressure that way. I will be installing a larger battery to be able to run the electric over hydraulic pump.I'll post a video of when I get that done.
