Really enjoyed your build ! Very nice, not to blinged out with unnecessary aftermarket parts. I try to stay away from anodized parts as much as possible , because no matter the quality of the anodizing , it always fades and looks terrible . Very clean, and a bike you can go and ride every week, not just a museum piece ! Great job, great videos !

You missed a be of the inserts on the lower chain guided if you don’t it will be hitting just bolts

This bike has no such insert. Only the plastic and the outer aluminum cover.

Bike is mint, my 2019 yz125 is about to get a make over for the racing season aswell! That stress mark on the right side of your front fender can go away if you apply some heat with a heat gun👍

Sweet, and I would work it out with the heat gun but the heat gun often leaves a less glossy finish. I did fix my radiator shrouds with the heat gun through!

when you fill the bike with coolant you need to have the bike running with the cap off, and continue to add coolant until ll air pockets are removed from the cooling system

For this bike that isn’t really necessary. I’ve filled the bike up with coolant many times, and never had to do that. It would probably be necessary on bigger engines and car engines, but not this one. I just fill the system, run the bike, then check again with the engine cool and off. Thanks for the tip though!

22ft/lb on a banjo bolt going into a aluminum caliper? That really high imo

Got my torque specs from the manual, and most of the banjo bolts I had to loosen when bleeding so they likely aren’t at 22 foot pounds anymore

Instead of the double washers on the radiator louvers, why not grind or cut the bolts a bit shorter to fit properly? Absolutely sick build by the way!

She’ll get a ding or two, I’m not worried. Race it, fix it, ride it, repeat! The most obvious is the graphics when it comes to general wear and tear.

Question here for a newbie what do you mean by 23 foot and how would I go about mines in a service book

In that case I am referring to the amount of torque I am putting on the fastener. 23 pound feet of torque was being applied on a fastener using a torque wrench which allows you to set the torque on a fastener. Just look in your servings manual, there should be details about torque specs

Tusk brand from RockyMountainATVMC, and you will likely need 2 packs of the stuff for a 2 stroke carb.

Where do you find the torque specs for all these bolts? (Unless its the owners manual i know you can find the specs there) do you use like a separate site or something?

I only go off manual, and some by memory. You can find online manuals so you don’t have to always have a physical copy for many bikes 👍🏼

I had a 2016 yz125 trade it for a 97 cr125 the power is way better on low end. I tune it the gears to have a little more speed for top end. I will never buy another yz125 again😂

It is Works Connection Brand. I get most of my parts from RockyMpuntainATVMC or Motosport. You can also buy straight off Works Connection website 🤙🏼

I have a problem with my yz. I changed Front brake disk and brake pads. But now the caliper hits against the rotor once i tighten it down and the wheel doesnt spin anymore. Any tips on what i cold have done wrong?

Does the top of the rotor hit the inside of the caliper? It could just be poorly fitting parts of everything isn’t OEM.

@@akmoto_ No the rotor ist not too big. If I put a washer on the inside of the fork leg where the screws hold the caliper, the rotor does not hit the caliper anymore. But then the break pads are not flush with the rotor and when you press the lever there is no pressure. It's hard to explain and my english is not so good. The best would be if you could see a photo of what i'm talking about.🙈

I think I know what you mean. The fork lug where the caliper mounts could be bent. I would try to see if they are bent, and if they need to be bent back. Or maybe even a new fork lug
