Hell of a collection, I’ve always loved zippo’s but don’t really remember what got me in to them if I’m being honest. Best I can remember my grandpa or my dad had one when I was really little. Actually packed one around with a eagle on it when I was around 7 or 8.
What a nice collection you got, good thinking about buying zippos when you travel to places really keeps the memories alive. Love the box you got full of wicks and stuff
I’ve been collecting since 09 at that time it was kinda dismal on the zippo scene.. got some very cheap vintage ones tho during that time. Glad to see there’s some zippo stuff on RU-vid
That candy apple red is officially in my wishlist because of you BTW. My wallet can't support this habit, but my wishlist is impressive on multiple zippo seller sites 🤣🤣🤣🤣 and yet I still end up buying more used and abused out in the wild, pawn shops and flea markets mostly. I still haven't found an 86 lighter for my birth year, but fleabay is an option I suppose, but something about finding and adopting lighters that need a new home or repaired to return to service. Thanks to ZF77 I'm dug in deep and over my fear of most hinge work, except on oldies and valuable pieces I'm terrified of lol. Comment 2, same video, screw the algorithm lol.
Oh my god, yessss! Me too! I buy most of my zippos (and other brands like imco, ronson and such) in flea markets! I live in Brazil and zippos are really expensive here (almost if you payed like 200 dollars for a regular street chrome. Because of taxes and all of that they are somewhat unaffordable here) so I get them used for less of a quarter of their retail price in street markets and antiquity street markets (not sure I wrote that correctly 😅😅😅). Talk about a great deal, right? And you can find great stuff there as well, zippos from the 60's and 70's in great condition (just dirty overall) and at great prices, for example, if you pay 20 to 30 dollars for a new zippo in the box you would pay 5, maybe 10 dollars for one that is old but really well preserved 😄😄😄 you just have to bargain a bit 😅😅
Hey man, I've been enjoying your videos. I've just got my first Zippo; a basic satin classic. You mentioned using organic cotton and a "bag trick." Would you happen to have any videos on that? A search of your videos doesn't produce anything. A month and a half without refueling is impressive and I'd love to know how to do that. Thanks man!!
Watched this one a couple times now, I realized I hadn't left a comment, so it's time to jack up the algorithm and see if this does the channel any good. Look over me, I am likely gonna be leaving random comments on videos lol. 💨🔥 You sir need a few pipe lighters. If we manage to catch our timing right at Knife works, I'll have to bring you a pipe insert at least.
