Another idea for a vid would be how to bring the book settings my plasm. Still checking out your vids and other resources. I appreciate you making these.
Michael Thanks again. I just used this video to set my parameters in My plasm. I am putting the finishing touches, drain fill plumbing, cable management, etc. on building my 4400 Modular. I went about solving the long work/ground cable a bit differently I ordered the Dinse 10 25 male and female connectors and will cut the work/ground cable to a length that works for the table and when I need to manual cut I can just plug it into the extra cable to regain the long length.
I appreciate you making these vids. I'm going thru the training vids and yours and making notes. Might end up hollering at ya thru fb if I get in a jam. Keep up the good work. Thanks.
Hey Michael, My company recently bought the same model table as the one you have and its a used one. But i set it all up and have the motors and everything moving but when i go to cut my first practice part the software is giving me a no material detection error. I doubled checked my cables, ground to plasma box, height of torch and nothing works. The torch head will go down and touch the steel plate then go up a bit than it gives me the no material error. Wondering if you have any suggestions to help. Thanks
Maybe you will understand this, from the point the tip collides with metal on myplasm, then i zero it,,so if i do a standard 1.5mm high cut,it drags along the metal,it seems theres several mm of play from the time the tip hits the metal to the switch getting triggered,so when i lift the z axis so its not colliding on screen the tip is still touching the metal, would floating head switxh settings fix this
@@juggernautweldfab i feel like every machine has this and i just dont get it,it crashes on screen,i zero it,i have to lift it 0.120 from 0 it so its physically a hair just touching the metal,so for roughly 0.120 its not crashed on screen nomore but the tips still on the metal because if u look at the z trigger when u move it with your hand its has play until u hear the click I go down till crash,0 then i raise 0.120 and it gives me perfect accurate height,a 1.5 cut is truly 1.5 doing that
