Huel is actually 1750g but what's 50g between friends... Unless it's coke of course. I've put together a spread sheet comparing Huel (Black edition since I am going Keto), Bulk and My Protein since I am wanting to start having a meal replacer. I have worked it out priced per kg and price per meal and when comparing with Huels "meal" measurement. Huel works out at £1.27, Bulk is £0.70 and My Protein is £0.40 per meal as of today (03/07/21) when using discount codes. Unfortunately, MyProtein and Bulk have Sucralose in them. Even a little bit of Sucralose will kick you out of Ketosis so I won't be able to use them.

I’m not a user of any protein powders, however I only eat once a day. I went from 315lbs to 210 lbs in 4 months. Iv kept it off for 18 months now ! I’m 62 and getting into bike packing Looking at powders to carry and mix while on bike. You burn 6-700 cals an hour on a bike. Huel v3.0 looks to be the best because of its higher cals and carbohydrates for sustaining energy ! Simply because it will release into your system more slowly because of its gritty more natural texture. Sugar is not sugar. To many types. Glucose is what’s needed. From my research Huel V3.0 is what I need. For sustained long hours on a mountain bike tour !
Great video! I think the high sugar comes from the maltodextrin but I could be wrong.. Also have you seen Huel are increasing their prices by around 15% across the board in a few weeks 🤯 will be hard to justify the extra compared to come of their competitors!
I prefer it by meal than kg cause the whole point for me is the nutritionally complete part. A meal is however much I need to get my nutrition requirements met
Those two aren't comparable IMO. 27 g of sugar is nuts. That's just candy, not a meal replacement. There is no reason to believe that Huel is lying about their sugar content. They just use artificial sweetners, so they dont need it.
@@fgardner I believe it’s more similar to the Huel version 1. There was a thread about it on Huel forum but it got closed lol. Anyway, you get 25 servings per bag and anytime I got it from my protein it was also 45% off. Think I got 100 servings for like £50 or so were 100 servings of Huel is well over £100.
I have bought Protein Meal Replacement Blend. It says use 2 scoops I.e. 51g but when I noticed the markings in the scoop, the max is 70g. Should I still use 2 scoops? Or a single scoops until 51g mark as one serving?
Why would you compare the weight of the products? I buy food for the Calories and not for the weight. By this logic they could just grind a couple of rocks into the product to make you happy.
The calories per 100g of the products are very similar, so with the greater weight of the MyProtein product you are getting far more calories for your money!
It does no good to complain about price vs weight. Bottom line we users set the price. V3.0 is a great product period. Nothing I have found will or is capable of giving sustained energy through out the day like Huel V3.0.
