"Myrtle Bouquets". Eduard Strauss composed the waltz Myrthen-Sträußchen for a party to celebrate the engagement of archduchess Gisela to Prince Leopold of Bavaria. The party was held at the Volksgarten in Vienna on 3rd May 1872; in the following April the wedding took place.

Ziehrereien478 thankyou for these gifts that you post every week or two,it really elevates the mood and suerly does make one happy , being a fan of the post romantic period , especially music ,I enjoy listening to these waltz of the very marvellous strauss family and the various other artists whom I have been introduced to by none other than you , thankyou for the great service that you are doing to music and also for the great service you are doing for us (fans😉) of the the strauss family Times do change and that is protocol but time has frozen for the strauss family and their compositions forever'

One of my favourite waltzes by Edi, 6:02 - 6:32 is just wonderful! When I heard this waltz for the first time few years ago I repeated this particular fragment dozens of times - I couldn't get enough of this beauty. Small change of the tempo has definitely reinvigorated this masterpiece.. Thank you for uploading it.

Another gorgeous waltz composed by Eduard Strauss . I like how this waltz changes from slow to getting faster tempo . It is so elegant , can listen all day to it . Sehr gut . Danke .

This waltz of "Edi" Strauss is every romantic, it gives me a feel about I am standing on a large field because the note is so lightly and tranquility. Thank you for uploading the waltz !

Indeed, all these examples , where the tempo has been accelerated, show just how good many of the commercial recordings already available can sound. Congratulations on your successful "patent" to improve the recordings of the waltzes!

Edi Strauss, although because of being a Strauss is more neglected than those with less talent was a genius. If you listen to him more one comes across a uniqueness not seen in any one else. Yes not evan in his very talented famous brother's!
