I purchased my first MYSA a few months ago. As described in this review, it was easy to install. The electrical box was a bit crowded, but I was able to squish it all in without cutting any wires. After the few months I decided to purchase another 6 as I was really happy how it worked. I've not set them up to any other smart app yet and for now I'm just using the Mysa app. The cost savings, I think is mostly gained by the scheduling. Before, there were many times where I had gone to bed, only to wake up in the morning to realize that I forgot to turn down one or more heaters. Or there are those times when you head out for the day, forgetting to turn down the heating. The one thing so far that I think could be improved is that the display, even at 10% brightness, can seem a little bright at night time in a completely dark bedroom. In the bedrooms I have set the inactive display to be off, which then requires you to touch the thermostat to see the current temperature. It would be good if the inactive brightness also had some kind of schedule so it could be off at night and on in the day.

I think the review was fine. I heard pros and cons peppered throughout including various product integrations. I now own 3 of these and although I am watching this video after my purchase, I can see how this review would help the decision process. My only issue with MySa is the pricing and my timing. I got $20 off each unit for buying 3 and right now it's $40 off each unit. $99

Great review. It would be interesting for you to review and compare the Sinope smart thermostat as well. I have electric baseboard heating, and I am on the fence between Mysa and Sinope. Both are Canadian companies.

Awesome review! Do you have to use scheduling for this or can you just use it in manual mode to turn it on and off when needed. We use pellet stoves for our primary heat but would like to use these for complementary heat but don’t need it running on a set schedule all the time

You don't have to use the scheduling. You can manually adjust, but it may still be worth having a schedule that sets the MYSA thermostats at your min temp like 15° before bedtime, to make sure that any that have been manually adjusted during the day are put back to the minimum. If you have been out for the day and your pellet stove has gone out, you can use the Mysa app to start heating up the house while you are one your way home.

I thought I heard somewhere that it can be geo-based as well? How does that work?

I bought 9 of them for my house. A nice thing is if you buy directly from their website you get a $20 discount for each when you buy a certain amount of them. At 9 x 139 that would have been cost me 1251 before tax. I paid on their website 1071 instead of 1251 before tax. If I bought that on Amazon I would have paid the full price.

Not a bad review I guess . Not sure why the twins were there but the one twin on the bottom farting around the 27 min mark was probably the best part 😂

How do I connect a mysa smart thermostat to an old Honeywell which has 2 wires only.

This is a really odd review. I kept searching and couldn't find a review - just 3 guys talking to each other for 32 minutes. And what's with all the stuff on the edges of the video - very confusing.

An energy efficient home or business is more comfortable and saves money in the long run. Solar energy on your roof combined with battery storage can make people more independent from the grid and natural gas supplies. Add solar and supplemental electric heating, infrared heating or a heat pump for home or business heating.. All big box stores and manufacturing sites can support solar energy on their roofs or parking lots. Added insulation, double or triple glaze windows, energy efficient doors, energy efficient heating and cooling systems, energy efficient appliances, LED lighting, smart thermostats, solar panels combined with battery storage and a electric vehicle charger in the garage or car park. People are too focused on the short term costs and miss out on long term savings and comfort. Blower door testing and air sealing are under appreciated tools.Even if you have money to burn you should not waste it. Climate Change will impact everyone. Leave a better future for your children and grandchildren. Join in and speak up for the future of the planet
