@@mellier7762 Alexandria mentions things in general sometimes, so I don’t know for sure if her anxiety or real people lol. I just want her to know we’re all on her side!!
Thank you for filming it, I've been waiting. 😁 I'm glad you mostly liked it. YR is famous for its scents, but they have good quality makeup and very good although not so well known skincare. I'm not a big fan of their hair products but IMHO their scents and perfumes specifically are their strongest suit. Try their makeup, and yes, you get free gifts with every purchase that are not necessarily cosmetics. It's a cute brand. They had an advent calendar last year with a very similar product pool. Also, you've never done trader joes advent calendars, they are cute.
@@athenatanyimin4035She owns businesses, so it can be found. But people would have to dig for it. The person's thought is kind, but they had no right to disrespect Alex's basic right to privacy
Ive been using yves rocher for 45 years. It is a great brand. Recently i started attending a new church the ladies assumed i was 45. I am 62 and i think i owe it to yves rocher and with every order you get free gifts! A wonderful company
Me too! I used it in college. Their shower gels were my favorite. My boyfriend at the time teased me about having a different flavor for every day in my shower…because of course I bought in bulk to save on shipping in the 90s, and of course I couldn’t just use one bottle at a time. Lol!
Or instead of gift tags, after putting the twine on them, string them up on a longer rope and make a banner. That could be a super cute spring decoration.
I genuinely think you should leave the tree up and just buy holiday themed decorations 😂 I wonna see a Halloween tree, thanks giving, valentines, st Patrick’s day etc 😁
Suggestion: if viewers send Alexandria (inexpensive) Advent Calendars then she´d have to open them through the entire year. I think that would be amazing.
She doesn’t have an address to send to, and doesn’t want people to send things to her shops. So don’t send things (but I agree that advent calendar season should be all year long!)
I have been using Yves rocher for years. They use a lot of natural ingredients like lavender or calendula. Skin care prods rock! They use to enclose a free gift. I have ceramic figurines and ceramic spoon rest that were gifts
0:13 I AM worried 😂 i want more! I didn’t realize that “advent” calendars could be found all year until you told me lol I REALLY love these and you are the ONLY PERSON that i know of, on youtube, doing them into spring. You have a corner on the market girl! Id do one once a week until the holidays if you can afford it and can find interesting ones…doesn’t have to be called ADVENT, it can just be specialty mystery with or without doors or drawers, ya know?
Yes! 🙌🏼 🎉 you have my vote for one advent calendar unboxing per week until the holidays!! Keeping it going throughout the year would be awesome & I’m certain there’s plenty of people who agree! 🤩🫶🏼💯🥰
I’m from the UK and my mum used to use Yves rocher maybe like 25 years ago and I assumed they no longer existed but then I went to Germany and they had a Yves rocher shop!! It was like I was taken back in time and immediately sent a pic to my mum! From what I remember it’s quite a fancy brand ❤
@@nikitatavernitilitvynova In what way? Here in the Netherlands they have a website and shops. No other way to get the products. Not through representatives. They were mail order back in the day, that's doesn't make it an mlm.
I hope your health issues and the fur babies health issues are improving! 🙏🏼🫶🏼 Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️ P.S. - I think we ALL would love for you to continue extending advent calendar season all-year long!! 🤷🏼♀️🤩🫶🏼🥰💯 We’re here for it! 🎉
Fun fact about sea fennel: my family is from a small island called Graçiosa in the Azores and i grew up eating pickled sea fennel we call it Perril! 😊Not many people from the island even know what it is as it was considered “poor mans food” and only grows in certain areas of the island.
My mother used to order via mail in the 90s early 00s. I used to love looking at the ads and helping decide what bath products to buy. We would also get a lot of samples and ‘win’ free items. It was fun to me. I recently did more research and found out their company has their own gardens in France. Really nice.
Right? Like some people you can just tell are genuinely grateful for being the recipient of someone’s kindness and generosity. Allie is definitely one of those people. Especially if someone sends her peach rings. 😂
I LOOOVE the smell of play dough! I used to be a bank manager, and I kept a tub of it in my desk, and would sniff it when I was stressed. A friend from work gave me a candle a few years ago that smelled like it. I would literally buy almost anything with that scent! 😂
Haven't watched the whole video yet but as soon as I saw Yves Rocher I got so nostalgic. They used to be exclusively mail order catalogues back in the 80's. I have no idea what happened to them here (australia) after that. They just stopped sending catalogues and I never saw them again. I loved that stuff. 😕
Same here. I think they tried to open shops I definitely remember one in Brisbane but it wasn’t the same. I think people liked the online / mail order ordering even though it was before the internet.
I still have their little blankets. You used to be able to buy them alongside the beauty products. We use them in winter to stay cosy in the sofa. Two of them are Christmas themed.
Im Canadian and I get this calendar every year. Its available here and it never disappoints. Samples are a good size and the candles are very nice. I'm so glad you have had the chance to get one❤❤
We watched a documentary on how play doh was invented and it actually started out as wall paper cleaner, just an interesting piece of info I had to share, because I have no one else to share this random thing, ADHD is running high today, yay your videos are so much fun and really gives me a moment to myself to watch your openings adventures. ✌️ 💛 🇨🇦🕯️
I bet those boxes would make great gift tags. Cut out the sides with no words (or the sides with words!) and punch a hole and write on the blank side! We do that with old Christmas cards. Collecting items for your hobbies and actually doing the hobby are different hobbies. So says my craft piles and my book piles.
Every holiday needs a calendar so this can continue as many months. Also, this is the one thing that alleviates post holiday depression because it keeps going!🤗
I agree with you @tristanstrege7839 - the post holiday depression is real! Actually, I would say many people are prone to seasonal depression before, during, & after the holidays… it’s a stressful, cold, less sunlight, & consumerism time of year that I have a love/hate relationship with for sure! However, Alexandria’s advent calendar unboxing videos definitely help to distract me from life’s challenges!! 🤩💯🫶🏼
This was fab. I live in the U.K. but I always go to Yves Rocher when we go across to France or Spain. They have lots of stores across Europe but sadly none in the UK. 😞 I really like their products.
Watching you try to rationalize something you can make or do with the boxes instead of throw them out gave me a glimpse of how I look to my husband when I won't let him throw away my boxes or packaging. It's why I have an entire closet of cute boxes, tissue paper, random packaging, etc... that "I'm going to use some day" 😂😂 I'm sad that we are almost done with advent calendars but does that mean we get to see you unbox all the other boxes you have? Thanks for sharing. You look gorgeous as always
With how excited u get from small perfume bottles I wonder if u have seen the old Avon bottles they used to have? Those are definitely my favorite n I wish I still had my collection! If u never seen them definitely look it up! U could use the peices of the boxes in backgrounds and borders of picture frames my grandpa used to do that for my grandma with things she liked. U could also take them m make ornaments, diy them to coasters, jewelry or even use them in a sun catcher.
Oh wow, talk about a blast from the past! I used to LOVE Yves Rocher products. Face, Bath, Body, Hair, a few of their perfumes (one named Venice was especially heavenly), they even had a super-basic, really gentle shower and hair care line for my kids, and my then-husband swore by the chamomile face cream you got the tiny tube of. They could get pretty addictive. It's been a very long time since I checked them out; I think I need to fix that soon, thanks to you and this unboxing :)
Oh no I can’t believe we are coming to the end of advent calendar season. Are you sure you don’t have any in a closet somewhere or maybe under the bed!!
I bought so much Yves Rocher over the years. I had lavender bath oil in a glass apothecary jar, a bottle of cologne for babies and I still have that blue bottle. This was definitely before they became eco-friendly. They'd sell the prettiest little bottles of cologne and I still have the bottles 35 years later. I'm not so keen on their products now however. I do regularly buy Monoi hair and body wash that's very fragrant but I only use it in the summer. Its formula has changed a bit but I still like it. All my favourites are no longer available however except for the Monoi hair and body wash. I have been stung by bees and wasps though while wearing it because it's an exotic floral fragrance. 😂
I love Yves Rocher. I used to order from their catalog back in the late 90s. I still have a perfume & it smells just like it did when I bought it, back then. It goes for $$$ on eBay since it's been discontinued. I use it sparingly since I can't get it anymore, from them. Maybe Play Doh is scented with that flower, LOL. Have a blessed day.
I loved this unboxing! I think I would like to try this brand & get their 2024 advent calendar! 🤩 How thoughtful and sweet of one of your followers to send this to you!! Thank you for sharing and being so entertaining as always! 🙏🏼💗💯😍
That would be a fun bingo game! Swatches of makeup on her arm from last video? Hair in a messy bun? The dogs fighting over beds because Tater wants to cuddle and Wren is a curmudgeonly old man? Alexandria puts something down and immediately loses it? She shows us something with the mirror covered up so we can’t see the chaos behind the camera? And brand new to Allie Ryan Bingo… crochet projects! ❤
This brand was available only as mail order makeup and skincare in the late 80s in my country. I did t know they still existed! I remember they did have some nice skin bath and shower stuff back then!
I don't know why but when I saw the name of this one I thought it was candy. Also I'm sad that advent season is almost over. Alexandria advent season. For me it's the only one and it's the best. Truthful, fun, hilarious, honestly the best. You bring me so much joy. Thank you.
I love Yves Rocher, they're quite popular here in Germany! You always get fun free stuff like bags etc when you order from them, one time I got an umbrella? No idea how they're even able to stay in business lmao
That is a really sweet generous gift 🎁 I hope she included a return address so you can send her a nice thank you card ❤ The calendar of all was so beautiful 😍 and definitely fun 😊😊
I love you so much sweetheart and I could watch your videos everyday all day!! It’s like sitting down with my best friend. I miss you when you’re gone. I love advent calendars so you are living my dream with these videos!! I want able to get any during the season but I was able to get a nail one with my tax money and I absolutely loved it!! It was my not polish and it’s still available. But it’s totally for please who do their own acrylic nails so it was so cool.. edit I forgot I did get after Christmas the beetles nail advent calendar with all gel polish calendar and I loved it even thought it was small bottle but that’s ok it was worth its price.
Yves Rocher was really popular when I was young. They're still stupid popular in France and available at some Macy's in the US (mine has it). Another brand that was fancy when I was young and seems to be popping up in ipsy bags is Georgette Klinger. They gave that away on game shows, but it wasn't available even in Macy's or Jones Store (May Company, so Idk, Dillard's??) and we weren't fancy enough to shop anywhere nicer. I feel like I've seen small stores that were just Yves Rocher, just like Crabtree and Evelyn but more French and less British. 😂
I used to buy Yves Rocher all the time! Their products are amazing. I loved everything lavender, and for my mom it was lilac, and I used to buy all kinds of products. They are in Montreal, Canada.
I really liked this calendar and thank you to the lovely lady that sent it ❤ I’m going to really miss advent calendar unboxing when it’s over 😢 I’m hoping you keep finding more and more to buy and open for us lol Love you and your fur babies. I hope things are getting better health wise and that Tater is doing better as well ❤
That nail polish from the last advent calendar is so pretty on your little finger. I wish you’d use it for both hands so we can see it. Love your videos
I absolutely love their shower gels and hand creams for their scents. I knew this brand from like the end of 90s-begining of 2000s, when my older sister ordered some stuff from them (there were always a lots of gifts to the orders). And about four years ago I re-opened this brand to myself. I think, it's well-known in Europe and not so much in the US.
70's baby here. Yves Rocher is the brand of my childhood & preteen nightmares. Right up there with the destructive power of Prell shampoo (which was originally carpet cleaner). All you need now is some VO5, noxema & vicks & you got the basics of every 70's & 80's housewife 🤭 When's the Avon/Tupperware/Home Interiors house party? 🤭 Sorry, couldn't resist
I have bought the yves rocher advent calandar in past years but did not order in time this year. I am glad you are opening so I can see what was in it this year.
I’ve loved advent season but I am excited about what’s next! I’m ready for your trips to home goods lol And yes crafting and hoarding absolutely crosses over each other lol 😂 it’s a reallll struggle
Yves Rocher was really big here in Canada when I was in high school. It was like the Columbia House of cosmetics, you'd get a bunch stamps you stick on an order sheet and get a ton of freebies. They make (made? I haven't paid attention to them in over a decade) the only perfume that doesn't give me an asthma attack, named Orchidee or something.
Never thought I'd see Yves Rocher on your channel (btw it is pronounced Eve Rocher) The brand was or maybe still is big in Belgium, I remember my mom having some sort of subscription to it back in the nineties.
Omg...the whole video I was stuck in a loop in my brain thinking that you now have internal poo-pouri after getting a mouthful of the perfume! You can now tell people "yeah, my poop does smell like flowers!"
I bought a lot of Yves Rocher from QVC and they may have had an exclusive here in the US. I haven’t watched that channel in over 20 years but the products were very good for sensitive skin and I loved the scents. You would love Ispahan - it is a warm spicy scent. I loved Eau De Juie (sp?). It was such a refreshing summer scent they put out in the summer because July is in the name, but in French. Perhaps it was for Bastille Day. The estate of Mr. Yves Rocher has vast flower fields but mostly not roses. I think that may be more of an American thing. 😊
You've probably used (pot) marigold more than you realise. It goes by the Latin name Calendula in most products. There are other types of marigolds (French/African) from the Tagetes family but they're rarely used, plus they're inedible, unlike Calendula. Both types can be used as dyes. 🖤
Lychee not only smells great, it tastes great. I love to buy snacks from Asian markets. If there isn’t one near you, Bokksu Market is a great online place to order from. I love lychee gummies and mochi. They actually had an advent calendar this past year for the first time. I loved it. You might want to consider it this coming Advent season if they offer another one. It had delicious Japanese snacks and a few keepsake items that were really cute.
Such a sweet gift!! I loved the variety, imo, more advent calendars should offer the same kind of diversity of their products! Living for the advent calendars 😊
I use to buy their skin care. I'm surprised this didn't have a variety of the products they have. Too many shower gels and hand creams. However, it was super sweet that someone sent you it! ❤
