@@ADcommenter only idiots would love to be lied too, i want to know the truth that writer has in his head! people who like this kind of movies which never give any info are just like seers from this movie xD
If he wanted his food back then yes he would. At the time he was “freeing people” by opening their eyes, forceful or other and blind people obviously can’t see. He saw himself as a Shepard helping people free their souls or inner light.
This is a very interesting point. Anna stops him. The creatures don’t want humans to die from other causes, they want humans to look at them and either kill themselves or become seers to spread it further. They’re not just focused on human extermination, they need to be the ones to do it for some reason. It’s a small difference but it calls into question a lot of their motives
Because there's no way mankind could ever unite anymore. Any catastrophe like this, the rich and world leaders would cower away in their bunkers and live the rest of their lives in comfort watching through CCTV while eating popcorn as the rest of humanity gets wiped out by whatever the catastrophe is. Though if the catastrophe is biological, the Chinese would probably eat it before it could become a threat.
I suppose a big part of disaster or zombie movies is relatability. They want the audience to put themselves in the same situation, so movies are generally kept at the same time. If it doesn’t involve sci-fi elements or technology that just doesn’t exist, it’ll be a year or two at most ahead of the release date
So watching this, I’m under the impression that either the creatures are always connected to their seers and can talk to them through hallucinations so they can lie to them, or theyre implanted with something that just shows what they want. In the first movie, they were just called beautiful by those who saw them. A priest saw them and described them as angels to Sebastian. With that he had a point of reference for them and his interpretations shifted to spiritual explanations. It’s possible if a seer had a different explanation and talked to Sebastian first, he’d see something else that would try to rationalise itself. It’s a chameleon based off expectation and experience, which implies these things aren’t spiritual at all if they need to pretend they are in the first place. Then again, that’s assuming it’s a conscious effort on their part, the hallucinations could be independent and receive no input from them. Though interestingly Anna stopped him killing the blind people and the seers main motivation is opening peoples eyes, not killing them themselves. For whatever reason, they want the humans to die specifically after seeing them, not for other reason
The last part of your comment is the part that didn’t make sense to me. It shows zero motivation for the entities to be killing people. What do they gain from the deaths? Otherwise they wouldn’t be leaving blind people alone if they gained something from people dying.
@@twdjt6245 it seems they need humans to look at them and that’s their main goal. Look at the planet years later, they haven’t done anything, they just wander around in case they run into someone. It seems their main goal was just to be seen. I think the whole thing with leaving the blind people alone was because they couldn’t be used and they’d rather not risk a seer getting into a struggle that may injure or kill them when it’s of no benefit to the creatures, while they view the bus people as a worthwhile risk. These are just my interpretations and each depends on what they actually want from it, there could be plenty of motivations I haven’t thought of. Perhaps they need to be seen to continue existing, like some kind of reverse weeping angel. They exist only when continuously observed, but the side effects result in death in most cases. Perhaps they somehow feed off the deaths and want as many humans around for that to happen ironically. Either the blind don’t factor in, or they see some minor benefit to keeping them around, maybe thinking there’s a slim chance they’ll have children someday. My final theory is that creating a mass amount of seers is the point. They pretty much do whatever their told, so maybe their creation is setting up for a second phase where there are no regular humans and the creatures control what’s left of humanity. Maybe they’ll leave then, or use the seers to do something else.
the idea that they reveal in this movie is that they are from an extra dimension, and cannot interact physically with ppl in our dimension, so they have to make us kill ourselves or each other via emotions, which somehow exist on a plane they can interact with. nothing is mentioned directly about motivation for this, but you could come up with a number of theories based on the information available, such as they are somehow feeding or something on the deaths of the ppl they kill
What kind of dumb story is this? Is this supposed to be a redemption story? He killed unknown numbers of people who tried to help him, even little kids, and we are supposed think, because his kid died it's all OK? Man... stories these days have seriously dropped the ball on what people relate to.
The priest isn't wrong - they could be Bible-accurate angels, which were so scary and alien that a mortal risked insanity witnessing one. Plus, even in pre-Christian cultures, there was the concept that seeing a God's true form could blind you or drive you insane. For ex, the mortal princess Semele demanded her lover Zeus show his true form. When he ultimately relented, the sheer sight caused her instantly perish.
I think he only saw angels because he wanted to, he was a priest and when he became a seer his mind rationalised it and gave a reason for his actions. He explained this to Sebastian, forming his expectations when he became a seer. It’s likely that if you convinced someone of what they were, if they became a seer they’d see it as that. It’s even making him see “souls” to encourage that narrative.
Initially, I didn't even know they made a sequel/spin off to the first Bird Box. I guess even the Production Crew didn't even want to bother with advertisement. As soon as I saw the "glowing orbs"... I knew this was gonna be a half 2ssed storyline😂.
@@Tootrillllbecause it isn’t number 2… same way all the purge films aren’t purge 1,2,3,4,5 they are all separate just exist in the same world. You don’t have to be a knob
Spinoff Bird Box: Barcelona suffers from the same problems as the original novel. The interesting concept is not saved by cliches and cliches, making the movie boring.
The dumbest thing about these bird box shows is that life is not easy... Food doesn't just appear..... Good luck making food without being able to see.
Two hours and one month has passed since the outbreak 😷 hit the city 🏙️ 🌆 🌃 causing a major massive massacre and frenzy that made thousands of people end their own lives and Sebastian losing his family in the chaos and started hallucinating his deceased daughter and becoming a seer after they killed his daughter in the chaos
I think you should edit the video at 3:56 to 4:03 and recap the conversation, you missed a important part of the movie where one of those guys at 3:56 that was hanging was still alive when Sebastian started talking to him saying something like "have seen the angels, they are so beautiful" while the other guy responds with how he thinks they are aliens from another planet. I think that is a good idea as a seer has a different view.
Are you for real? He murdered half the main characters and then had a change of heart at the very end. He definitely needed to be deleted for the film to have a proper ending.
@@patrikkralik3610 I mean.. he was clearly brainwashed by the entity after getting exposed to it against his will. Don't get me wrong though - him dying is indeed the better ending, especially after he realized he was indeed brainwashed.
And that is how he lost his family and becoming a sear after his daughter was killed in the chaos of the outbreak that struck the entire country and cities
BirdBox did what WorldWarZ forgot to do. WWZ was suppose to be a zombie apocalypse movie where characters from all over the world are struggling to survive. In the game, where it is inspired by the book: We have survivors at NewYork, then another story for new survivors at Jerusalem, then another new survivors at Jerusalem, then Moscow, then Tokyo, then Marseille. WorldWarZ only has 1 movie with different location but only 1 main character. The story is not that bad but no sequel, no new main characters, no new settings, no new location BirdBox did that, first movie we were introduced with new characters, and I assume they are in America (I forgot if this was mentioned in the movie) but the next Movie has new characters and is set in Barcelona.
No lol, I watched it last night and honestly this recap explains more than the whole movie, if a 3rd one comes out where they actually go into the story more than that would be worth watching. But that's just my opinion.
Eh, by sheer math the number of deaths in these types of movies is logarithmic, initially the casualty rate is enormous but flattens as the survivors are further apart and in various states of survival mode. It makes sense, sort of. However, people are pretty good at perceiving patterns, it wouldn’t take them long to realize things like floating objects marks their appearance, or the voices aren’t necessarily real.
Dude what if you just had a camera or vr headset to look through. That prolly would just give you vision lol, I love how all apoc sifi stuff always has some kind of plot hole that makes one aspect easy to get around. Aka walking dead or smth
They tried it. The guy who suggested it theorised that if they ran it through a secondary source like a screen, it could only display a normal image and act like a filter. A clever idea but didn’t pan out
So many comments in just 9 minutes of release . Goes to show how loved and popular the channel is. Of all the recap channels I have seen, this one is best in quality and narration. Eagerly waiting for the next one😊😊😊
