Mysterious Sea Creature Spotted Near North Carolina Coast 

We’ve been missing a good ol’ sea monster story for a while now!

I am more amazed by the biologist, he’s like a cartoon character

That doesn’t look like a whale. It seems too flexible to me.

It looks like an alligator. No fluke, no blow hole, no whale.

As a born and raised North Carolinian, I can definitely say this is not a whale, alligator, or crocodile. If I had to guess what it was, based off of it's movememts, I would probably say (even though it's rare to see)...a very large eel.

It’s a scary idea to think of a plesiosaur lurking in the water for my adult mind but this child is so excited and happy about this.

Really looks like crocodile/alligator to me.. Don't think Nessie would like travelling across Atlantic..!

This is definitely a whale…some people seem to be saying that it’s moving weirdly, but the flowing up and down movement of the whale’s fluke is pretty clear here. Like the expert said, you can clearly see what appears to be the blow hole and the rostrum. It is definitely a smaller whale, maybe even a calf, which could by why this is causing a lot of confusion. So, unfortunately, it is not Nessy, but it’s beautiful creature nonetheless. I could very much be wrong though. I thought it could be a manatee, but ruled that out due to the faster, more serpent like movements of the back of the animal.

I mean more than 80% of the worlds oceans haven’t been mapped. Who can actually say we know of everything out there..

For a moment when I first saw it, I thought it was a Leopard Seal... Not counting on the region's temperature, but the snout and head seems it is very independent from the body for what we saw.

My dad and I saw a similar creature in the St.Lucie canal in Fl. back in 1970. We thought it was a tire floating until we saw fins.

Does that coast usually have whale sightings? If so why would people assume it's not a whale that's the real question.

So the mystery is now solved because an “expert” said it’s a whale lol. I’m also an expert myself and I say it’s the Loch Ness monster so NOW the mystery is solved.

I would love to see an actual massive sea creature.

Imagine if nessi actually just got so fed up over people visiting its loch that it just made a tunnel to the see and escaped

It doesn't look like a whale at all, I mean AT ALL, it looks like a giant sting ray which can get up to 13 feet long and up to about 700 pounds... Lockness monster, seriously?

The “whale” is moving a little weird and look at the tail it looks more to have a seashell shape right.

It looks like a crocodile an actual crocodile from Australia- has someone let their pet crocodile out as it grew too big or see if someone lost one in area. It completely looks like a crocodile head and then tail and it would move like this and the colour is correct as well.

After looking on Google, it could be a Right Whale. They’re endangered and a deceased Right Whale calf was found in North Carolina waters recently. Maybe we’ll find out more if we use an underwater camera.

These sightings happened fairly regularly in the 1800’s in New England and were documented and witnessed by large crowds. Animals a lot bigger than this.

The level of gaslighting "experts" will go to to dismiss the obvious conclusions to rare pieces of evidence like this is astounding. Not sure what it is, but it ain't no whale that's for sure. Likely something not yet discovered.

Last year when I went to my sisters in Connecticut to fish I swear on my life I saw something big and large that came out the water for a while then went back in, the weird thing was that this was in a lake.
