It should also be brought forward that the symbol that is often framed by the winged dieties is not representitive of the "Tree of Life" but rather a flourishing irrigated orchard (most likely date palms) as seen from a "birds eye" point of view. The pine cone held in the opposite hand as the water bucket and presented in a "giving" position represents a seed pod (the source of plant life) and the diety's willingness to share their knowledge with man. The "wristwatch looking" bracelet is representitive of the diety's knowledge and understanding of the cyclical nature of the seasons, ie., the understanding of when to plant, when to irrigate, when to harvest, when to pick seed pods for planting the following year, etc. All of the symbols incorporated into the relief are necessary for food production, an obvious imperitive to civilized living. The relief functions both as an accounting of historical events as well as being a celebratory piece of artwork. Additionally, it being made for display pays homage to the teachers of agriculture. 🤔
