If money is the problem.....Nothing impossible if want to be found or maybe just want people coming there ... any way a reel of of steel cable and float then start working from there simple

Just an idea but have you looked into ingestible sensors? If they’re small enough to traverse human arteries, they might be able to survive...

Why not stick a GPS device inside a pingpong ball and then chuck it in? Then track where it goes? Maybe add a simple function to trigger when the ball floats back to the surface. Or to attempt to trigger intermittently.

Good suggestion. I’ve thought of that to. But when ping pong balls go through then never come out. The thought is they get shedded by the rocks underground.
