Angel and Deon primarily travel around to the best parts of Minnesota. Born and raised in north central Minnesota and spending most of that time in the outdoors in the woods and on the lakes. They know places to go that the average tourist would have never thought about. Anything from cross county skiing in the Boundary Waters to distance running on the Paul Bunyan trail to going to Chamber of Commerce events statewide. See what the locals do on the weekends to avoid the crowds...
Youre right about the people in the Victorian Goldfields roasting quarts. And what they then did was pour water over the hot rocks to make them fracture. Roasting them served two purposes, not only did it make the rocks easier to crush but it also oxidised the sulfides and released the gold
Looks like thomsonite. Also I wouldn't pound rock on a concrete/cement floor it can damage the floor. I like to lay the rock on another large hard rock to break them open. That is very hard rock to. I think a slab saw or trim saw would work best to cut that out. I have tried with dremel and it can work with smaller thomsonite but is still hard to do. Then clean up with cab machine. Softer rock works better as you can often just wack the rock with mini sledge and nodules can fall out. With hard rock cutting out is best option.
I like your idea of heating the rocks so they break up easy. I am out here in washington st. and have some pure white rocks that have a speck of gold here and there. I have a cast iron mortar and pestle that's good for small amounts. turn your pan around so the stuff hangs in the steps the next time.
Least ya showed the prosses & if ya had found anything that easy gold would prob be worthless or worth less than it is + panning u said if it sloshed out the pan its lost nope dont hesitate to pan your dump site from time to time .. like when ya stuck at home & bored or when ever
If money is the problem.....Nothing impossible if want to be found or maybe just want people coming there ... any way a reel of of steel cable and float then start working from there simple
More like 10-17 years to bloom. I know because I have some I purchased legally from a nursery. The bloom rate is highly variable. The plants themselves could feasibly live beyond 50 years easily. They are like ginseng and other deep forest plants. If you can set up growth conditions for them, I recommend planting some.
Wow! Great information I’m in Oregon and also a Goldtuber. I’m going to try this out and give you full credit for the idea along with a big shout out. Subscribed!

I'm not really sure what part of lake superior your on to find thomsonite. That looks like thomsonite. South of grand marais in minnesota there are thomsonite but the good stuff looks much better than that. And the good stuff isn't down by the beach, there isn't much in the way of thomsonite to be found at the beach.
I need to find some agates about how far you up the north shore there, I see a river, not lester river i'm thinking. Maybe farther up past gooseberry falls?
I really appreciated the content, especially about whether to clean or not to clean the goldenrods. Then the fact of using coffee filters to filter the liquid. I was surprised that you didn't dry out the flowers before making the tincture. Why didn't you dry out the flowers?
0:11 my husband and I seen lake Superiors pressie just about 3 miles off the shore of Paradise, Michigan, October 5, 2023. We were enjoying our morning coffee and seen something in the water, jokingly we said it's the loch ness monster. We started watching and observing a little more and as much as it was fascinating at the same time we seen a little more than we wanted.😊. We seen her snake like humps and her long neck going in and out of the water while it was just doing its thing. It was amazing
Well thank you for making this very informative video! Absolutely awesome. I think I’m just excited because thanks to you I now realize I have a 50 pound agate.
I grew my small batch from seeds I bought. Took two years to see the blooms. I planted them in our small forest area which has evergreens, I guess I gad the right conditions.
Try using a fence post driverand a sledgehammer top. Attach a coated wire cableto the opening in the sledgehammer long enough that you can drop the sledgehammer down to crush the quartz it will save time and you won't lose any of the material. Just dump into a bucket, and repeat. You may already know this but it could help someone else. You can take the rock crusher to the field with you. Good video anyways.
So have you gotten rich . I'm sure you already know that you have to sift it then pan . Using the magic eraser is never a bad idea since you are working with the flour gold. Have fun.good luck
