After rewatching the Video a few times, i learned a few things here. First of all, the Bass in this one is way to high. I will watch out for that in the Future. And second. i made a few spelling errors along the line. i will make sure to Revisit these parts an rerecord them for future videos. If you have any other feedback please let me know under this comment :)

I set up my base in Hidden Forest after befriending Flotsam Ninjas. One day the ninjas came to my base saying they'd give their lives to protect me. Shortly after a group of cannibals arrived. My handful of friends would probably get wiped out without the ninjas. And then the holy nation arrived and got the same treatment from the ninjas. Amazing. Thank you, Moll.

I mean we know the Skeletons toyed around with humans to turn them into "Enforcers" which resulted in the Shek. Given how the Okranites were the original rebels against the Skeletons the Skeletons probably had a steady supply of POWs to experiement on and perfect their mutatgens, dumping the failed batches on the plains to die. Would explain the acid-immunity, the body shapes, the madness and the remnants of half-remembered cargo cult-Okranism, maybe the symbol even predates Okran and stem from the days of worshipping Chitrin.

That is a reeealy interesting theory, one that i havent even considered. The Cannibals beeing a cause of Skeletons playing god? I love it
@nigelis2345
@nigelis2345 10 месяцев назад
But the cannibals even pre-date the Enforcers/Shek as Cat-Lon and his generals had a hard time keeping them in control. The enforcers were created to help the Skeletons with keeping order and in also fighting the Cannibals.

@@mnk9073 I do have a theory based on my observation on the lore and the area the cannibals are normally found in. And it ties to the Flood Lands and Obedience. If you bring the unique recruit Sad Niel to the Flood Lands, it will trigger a dialogue from him that he was born here. Close by to the south west of the Flood Lands is Obedience where the Behemoths are buried. My guess is that after the war with the Unknown enemy the First Empire was in a bad state and had they not destroyed the Behemoths they might have had a chance to rebuild. But after the Obedience incident, the Skeletons revolted and triggered a series of incidents that could have led to certain high population regions in that area being devastated. Those humans that fled to the other regions survived and evolved to the current greenlanders and scorchlanders. The humans that remained in that region were not able to grow food and over time adapted to the region and became the cannibals we know currently in Kenshi.

Prions it's roughly the same type of disease as mad cow disease. I believe it's called kuru and it's associated with canabalistic tribes of the highlands of paupua new guinea. Like mad cow disease it's a wasting disease with no known cure and is 100% fatal.

I settled in the northern coast, hoping to start a city, a beacon of hope, for the lawless cannibal wastelands. I’ve been at constant war with the cannibals since. They actually drastically brought down the population of the already small fishing village nearby even with some of my troops aiding the villagers. Our numbers are dwindling aswell.

In Kenshi I usually don’t play human, as I find humans in fantastical setting to be an eyesore. That being said, trying to be an archeologist/anthropologist as a Shek or Skeleton is counter productive. But in my ignorance, I chose to be an Hiver obsessed with discovering the origins of their people. Thinking the Cannibal tribes might have secrets older than Hivers was what drew me to the area. Luckily I’m very stealthy and got to observe them at a safe distance. Fascinating and you do see a lot of influences you’d expect to see in the HN.

It might be that they were Okranites deformed by exposure to the acid. But it could also just be that they looted the breastplate. I think it's actually something more freaky. The symbol they adorn themselves with, while similar to the Okranite symbol, has four smaller daimonds above the larger one, not three. I believe that its related to The Eye. Skeleton characters all but state that The Eye is a sibling to the giant death laser that fries Venge. If there were two such sattelites above the planet, why not two more? Why not three more? My theory is this: whatever the First Empire scientists were doing up there resulted in some kind of leak. This was either during or before the fall of the First Empire. The staff saw the skeletons trying to wipe out humanity. For whatever reason a tradition developed around the consumption of flesh of outsiders. These people are worshipping Stobe. As for the difference between the normal and deformed cannibals i wouldn't be surprised if it's less seperate slecies and more caste differences, likely formed with the initial leak. Its possible those less affected or those who held certain positions were the first normal cannibals while the first defirmed were those who were less resistant and who possessed other jobs. (Whwther the acientists proper and their descendants became one or the other is unclear if the thing was based off position). As for the damage it couldve been caused by a civil war that saw the castes established. Or an assault from outside. As ever intellectuals will face the brunt when learning and science seem to bring suffering. And as the world burned around them i wouldn't be surprised if the staff came under attack by colonists. It could explain the leak, the hostility to outsiders, and the damage to the labs

I think their creation is a result of few factors. Probably the laboratories around the region of cannibal plains perfored genetic experiments to make a new subspiecies of humans that would be better adapted to the harsh environment on the moon the game takes place on. That would explain their resistance to acid and ability to sustain themselves on raw meat without dying from illness in great numbers. Ancestors of modern cannibals probably had been a small but growing minority of the first empire citizens, probably labourers, when skeleton rebelion happened. After it ended, civilisation was basically ruined and the people who later on became cannibals managed to outcompete greenlanders in the region, surpassing them in numbers before turning to cannibalism when other sources of food ran out. At some point cannibals might have been a major threat to the rest of surviving humanity looking at how many resources second empire commited to exterminating them. If not for Cat-Lon they might have wiped out greenlanders living on the rest of the continent, because disorganised humanity would be unable to form a meaningful deffence against literal hordes of those savages.
@patostrophia2948

There are cannibals north of Fog Islands. This is definitely not a coincident. Fogmen were once humans who mutated because of the spread of a blue chemical that stained the land of Fog Islands. It is no coincident either. Mongrel was a giant chemical factory that was powered by the super-nuclear mega power plant once located in Obedience that was run by giant skeletons made of a special heat tolerant alloy. The designer of the power plant knew an accident might happen and designed the mega skeletons to be extremely heat tolerant, not knowing that when the surrounding metal all melted, these skeletons would be buried and stuck forever. After the ginormous explosion that wiped our the super-nuclear facility in Obedience, everything melted to the ground except for the giant skeletons there were made of super alloy. The giant super-nuclear explosion took down the near by chemical factory in Mongrel. The chemicals from Mongrel spilled over to the Floodlands and wiped out all the living organisms because of the high concentration of toxin accumulation. Other rivers carried the contaminants to the ocean leading to the mutation of the humans who mainly consumed sea creatures. They became fishmen. Sheks were once humans too. They lived farther away from the Fog Islands and were less affected. Farther to the west, most humans were not affected as badly, but some of them became brain damaged with a lower IQ because of some gene defects. Starving bandits are an example of a group of humans who could not do farming or even get enough meat from dead animals. The cannibals were those people who genes were affected by the nuclear explosion so that their digestive systems have completely altered. They could no longer rely on vegetables. And since their IQs are also lower, they became like carnivorous animals.
@huntinghornmain7304
@huntinghornmain7304 Год назад
I’ve kinda cooked up my own theory I think it’s possible do to a sudden decrease in consumable plant life it’s possible the Camille’s could be a carnivorous off shoot from humans and I think for some reason they are imitating parts of the holy nation and they paint on the holy flame in replacement for the armor maybe there ancestors where tue cult that originally became the holly nation in the first empire so after the disaster/war left the world in ruin some cultists that inhabited the cannibal plains became carnivorous as we don’t know how long the plains have been fertile this would explain there existence in the second empires time Side note: sorry for any spelling errors I’m using a phone at the moment edit: just fixing some stuff I mean after the disaster I believe the cult might have been created relatively soon after and they might have moved to the plains where after a big famine some fled to more fertile lands while the rest stayed evolving into the cannibals from a new carnivorous diet sustaining over such a long period of time
@patostrophia2948
@patostrophia2948 Год назад
