In 1674 renovations were being done on the Tower of London. Workmen found the skeletal remains of what appeared to be children underneath the staircase of the White Tower. It was immediately and unequivocally assumed that these remains were that of the two sons of King Edward V.
In 1933 it was decided to re-examine the bones to see if any conclusions or further information could be ascertained. When the urn was openea two partial, Skeletons oT children's remains were found. There were al two skulls, one of which|was badly damaged, in there was also a collection of other miscellaneous bones from different animals: as well as a few rusty nails. So were thee Two bones that were found at the Tower of London REALLY the two princes? For now that centuries old mystery still remains unsolved.

Skeletons found in the tower were the two servants that were used to pretend they were the two princes. They were used to fool King Richard and were, sadly, killed. MY vote is the two bodies found in child-sized coffins, hidden in the wall near their parents buriel, are the two young boys.

Historian David Starkey has pointed out records which indicate that while Tyrell was being tried for Yorkist sympathizing, he was visited by both King Henry 7th of England and Elizibeth of York, Queen Consort of England, even though their son Prince Auther was laid to rest less than a fortnight before and both were said to have still been in deep mourning, so Tyrell seems to have suddenly become a very important man before he died!
@EvelynEdwards

Head to the googles and type in Tyrell confession fact or fiction. I’m not a Ricardian but you may change your mind about some of the things Starkey said in his documentary. Historians go in waves of popularity and some of Starkey’s scholarship on this particular subject have been widely refuted. I’m not saying I agree or disagree. I am just putting it out there. 💚🙏🏻

Why were the bones of so many children found? 😢 I feel like crimes against children has taken place here over the centuries. Is there anyway to determine the causes of their deaths? Have we tried to do DNA analysis to see if there are any living matches?
@EvelynEdwards
@EvelynEdwards 3 месяца назад
There were many children that went to the Tower of London. Sometimes they went with their parents when they were imprisoned there. Many died of illness while inside. As for testing of any bones that are believed to be the princes - no. Permission must be granted from the monarch and the archbishop of Cantebury. And that has not been given.
