Great quick overview of this machine. A few questions on the machine though…….. 1) Can you use tap water that is on a softener system; 2) What de-foaming solution is best and is that placed in the water tank or recovery tank; 3) When done with a job, can you clear the lines of the water by simply engaging the wands trigger to empty out the remaining water or does that have the potential of burning up the pump; 4) And lastly, to winterize the machine can RV grade antifreeeze be ran through the system?
Thank you! 1) Yes! 2) We don't have any official rec's for brand but either powder or liquid will do. We put it in the recovery tank when we use ours but some cleaners prefer to put it inside the vacuum hose or sprinkle the powder direct onto the surface they are cleaning, this is fine also. We wouldn't add it to the clean water tank. 3) It's a good idea to trigger tools at the end of jobs to release any built up pressure before disconnecting the tool from the machine, but this won't clear 100% of water out. You do want to avoid running the pump dry, if it sucks in air bubbles it may need to be force-primed when ready to run again. 4) Absolutely!
Hi I just got the Mytee lite 8070. I just wanted to know if I'm supposed to put in any Cleaning product in the water to clean the seats and carpet or do I not need to use any cleaning product with this extractor.
Up to you! You can pre spray areas with chemicals and rinse them out with clean water or add a low-foam solution to your clean water tank, just make sure whatever you use doesn't create too much foam in the waste tank
@Mytee I know the order of buttons to turn them on, pump, heat then vacuum. What Im wondering is Do I turn the switches off then in the reverse order , turning the pump off last? Also, Do I have to turn the machine off to refill the solution tank and dump the recovery tank? And also, How long can I have the heat and Pump turned on before it hurts the machine? I would really like some answers and I know you can help me. Thank you!
1. Order you switch them off does not matter, you can turn them all off at once even. 2. The vacuum needs to be off when dumping the recovery tank, but the heater and pump can stay on 3. Quite a long time, the heater has a thermostat that will prevent it from overheating. Basically while they can't just be left on indefinitely, it wouldn't be something you would need to worry about when used normally and shut off at the end of use
Hi there, great video, but I still have a couple questions that I can't seem to find answers to (sorry if they sound silly). 1) You said it's not recommended to put powder based solutions in the solution tank; but I want to put down a powder based solution into the mattress, and use this machine to rinse it off. Would that be okay, or would that not be recommended? 2) What temperature water did you put into the solution tank? Can I use hot or cold water; or is there a better temperature? Can I use tap water? 3) I want to use it for larger mattresses, does the 4 foot upholstery tool attach to the longer vacuum and solution hoses? 4) For a few items, I need to use cold water to rinse it off. Can I use this machine with just the pump and the vacuum, without engaging the heating system, or does it only run hot water extraction? 5) This one seems extra silly, but can I adjust the amount of pressure with the water spray trigger, or is it fixed? Looking forward to hearing back!
Thanks for the questions, happy to answer them! 1. That is fine! The powder solutions can leave sediment in your pump that may affect it, but with this method it does not go through the pump so it is okay. 2. We use warm to hot water from a sink for best results from the heater but any temperature water can be used up to 140ºF. Higher than that may damage the pump. Tap water is just fine, but if you have harder water you will need to descale your machine more frequently. 3. The 4 inch upholstery tool included with the machine can be used with a longer hose yes. The 15' included is enough for most applications, but up to 25' of hose can be effectively used with this unit. 4. This unit can function without the heater engaged and operate otherwise normally as a cold water machine. 5. In this unit the PSI can not be adjusted.
This is the appropriate size carpet wand to pair with the 8070, though we recommend using it only for small areas or spot removal. If you need to do large wall to wall carpeted areas we suggest a full size extractor like our speedsters www.mytee.com/products/8390-ez-single-jet-carpet-cleaning-wand/
For commercial carpet cleaning we would recommend a larger model extractor like a Speedster, which you can find at mytee.com. We have one of the best warranties in the industry parts labor and major components
I have the problem with the water heater which stops working and because the cables are of poor quality and burn very quickly, the other parts are very good the vacuum and the water pump
If you have wires malfunctioning it could be a manufacturing defect, and should be covered by our warranty. you can file a claim with us here: www.mytee.com/support/warranty-support/
Besides the difference in size, the HP60 has 20% more heating power and a slightly stronger vacuum. It also has the buttons up top for easier reach and a bucket height waste dump valve that makes emptying a bit easier
We recommend using just fresh water inside the machine, but if you do plan to mix in a shampoo chemical make sure it is low foaming and in liquid form, not powder.
I JUST GOT MINE AND IT WONT HEAT AFTER 3 MINUTES OF USE NOMATTER THE TEMP OF THE WATER I PUT IN OR IF I LET IT HEAT UP FPR 20 MINUTES ITL GET THE BRASS SUPER HOT THEN NOTHING AFTER USING FPR 3 MINUTES MY UNIT IS BRAND NEW ANY SUGGESTIONS BEFORE I SEND IT BACK

Hi I just purchased one I'd like to know what are some cleaners and shampoos we can use from home depot in the mytee 8070 to shampoo cars ? I don't care what anyone says iv clean 100s of cars with dawn it's safe gets the grease and works even when using a shopvac but I'd like to know if dawn is safe for the machine?
We recommend using just plain water inside the mytee lite to act as a rinse for chemicals applied as a pre-spray. If you do wish to use a solution inside your unit, we reccomend you only use low/non foaming chems.
What he said! It gives you access to the recovery tank to be able to clean it, access the vacuum stack and check the filter. You can also add defoamer to your tank from there
@@DrippysMobileDetailing you can pour liquid defoamer straight into the recovery (dirty) tank to prevent foam buildup inside from incoming dirty water which can harm your vacuums. Just make sure to not pour it down the vacuum stack or it kind defeats the purpose!
@@myteeproducts I'm sorry I just looked at my question The question I was supposed to ask was did the plug have to be blue because mines was red but it still works
The important distinction is whether it is a liquid defoamer or powdered. We do not recommend putting any type of powder-defoamer, detergent, or anything else-in the clean tank as it can lead to issues down the line with build up inside the pump. Liquid defoamer is fine to use in your clean solution tank though, and powdered defoamer can be effective if put directly into the recovery tank, so it never ends up going through the pump.
You could have pressure in the line, making the QD difficult to engage properly. Try relieving this pressure by using a pencil to press in the metal nipple inside the female QD on the machine.
Very sorry to hear that! Make sure to thoroughly read the manual to ensure proper operation of the machine. If you are following the steps outlined correctly and still are having issues there may be a defective component, but our warranty can cover the total cost of any repair or replacement needed to fix it so not to worry. Call our office at 858-679-1191 for assistance, we're happy to help!
Yes the clean water tank is also called the solution tank. We do recommend using just clear water or water with a rinse only in the extractor, no detergents.
We are terribly sorry to hear that, if you have not yet taken advantage of the warranty policy on our machines, we would encourage you to! We will happily repair or replace any issues or defects within your machine to ensure it works as designed.
@@myteeproducts Warranty is 30 days only, lol. Machine has leaked since day one, lines clog preventing water from spraying, jets keep clogging, heater on ALL the time so had to disconnect. Everytime it gets used (once every three months) I have to perform repairs.
Our warranty covers all parts and labor for a full year, major components like the pump heater and vacuums for 2 years, and the plastic body for 10 years. You can read more at this link below. We are sorry to hear you have had trouble with your unit but we are happy to make that right for you. www.mytee.com/support/warranty-details/
starting with warm water in the solution tank can definitely help the heater sustain temperature for longer. We also recommend two dry passes for each wet pass to allow the heater time to get back to temp
