I took your advice a few months ago to purchase the Mytee 8070. Wow, what a great piece of advice. This machine makes interior details a whole new experience in so many ways. It really cleans at a lever I never imagined at a level of exertion that is significantly less than my previous vacuum extractor. I literally love seeing trashed interiors anymore because the level of satisfaction in the client's eyes when they see the car is simply priceless! Thank you once again Phil.
Update on mine, for anybody that might someday see this. Our machine, 2015 mytee lite 8070 II, got too cold and froze. After thawing it wouldn't spray. Pump made the same normal sound it always does, but no spray. Took apart some tool fittings, blew them out, took apart some of the lines inside and didn't see a problem. Then took off the outlet line on the pump, the one that goes to the heater. We had water flow here, so I knew the pump worked. the problem was simply the check valve in that line had stuck closed, so no water could get through. So I simply replaced the bronze check valve for 15 dollars and it works fine.
It took me a long time to figure this out. I don't use my 8070 often because the VX5000 does a better job without saturating the carpet and underpad. When I do, I have this problem and its always the check valve. I don't replace it but I stick a tooth pick and free the ball bearing from its "stuck" position. Mytee should post a video about this.
So I’m having a similar problem and i blew air in my hose and it went through to the other side. I bought another flow jet, hoping that will fix my problem. I’m not getting any water come out at all. Fittings aren’t sealed or closed or anything.
Gonna try this tomorrow thanks Phil. There is a small drop off water coming out of my wand but nothing else after a super nasty detail. Mine might be clogged wish me luck. Was just about to order a pump
This was exactly the problem with mine we were ripping our hair out I even went through two new pumps because I thought the pump was bad even though it’s brand new and then finally figured out this was the situation great video thanks for your time I’ll get back to making money for you and your family LOL
I do recommend you run the vacuum motor when you’re done for like 5 mins so you can prevent rusting of the vacuum. I always do that right after jobs. It basically drys all of the moisture inside the vacuum motor.
Im curious does anyone know if you can upgrade to a newer higher PSI pump that the newer 8070 lite now come with? i have this same exact one in the video. thanks!
Many people talk about the order to turn the machine on, is there a specific way to power off the machine, or can I turn the buttons off in any order? Thanks! Great video!
Personally I have never had any problems with turning it on in a “wrong” order. But technically pump first, then heater, then Vacuum. Supposedly if turned on in the wrong order it can cause vapor lock or an air bubble in the lines. But again I have never run into that.
Why am I not getting a suction thru my upholster tool. Everything is tight and connected I fill up my solution tank with water, I turn on my pump and prime till water is coming out the tool, then turn my heat on and next turn on the vaccum. The vaccum comes on but I get absolutely no suction on tool. Please tell me why this is happening. Ive had it for 2weeks and only used 2 twice
I just bought my first mytee 8070 on offerup for 300 dollars the exact same one you have it seems to works good but when I turned the pump on and the heater the pump shuts off and goes back on is that normal?
Miranda Detailing really the pump always stays on for you ? The vacuum works great stay on all the time but the pump seems to take a break I’ll probably switch out the pump then
When you press the trigger does it pump out water fine? What’s its doing is building pressure then the pump does shut off when it’s up to pressure. But when you press the trigger it should start to pump again.
Plz can u hlp me i hav a machine like yours mytee lite its only 1 week old an i am havin problem with the water its not comin out at a steady flow its gives me 1 spray an sticks after an if it does spray it takes longer
This is funny, today I was messing with my detailing tool just like yours that same nozzle because it would shoot the water but when I would release the trigger it would keep shooting a little bit of water. I took apart the trigger and it got better but after seeing your video and going to take the whole thing apart and use my compressor and blast the crap out it. Anyways l enjoy watching your videos.
Miranda Detailing I'm deciding if I should get this soon. Cause it's on sale now. $150 CAD off. Then I can get the clear plastic head. Since getting customers is difficult. I might start off with partial services first. Like seats, carpets and mats for lower prices. Customers don't seem to understand the $200 to $300 type of detailing. Especially when I don't own a commercial garage. What do you think if I offer partial interior services just to build on my portfolio?
That’s great. I think you should definitely offer what you can at a reasonable price. Sometimes carpets and upholstery does not need full extracting. Usually the carpet mats are what I use the extractor on. I say start at a comfortable price and work your way up.
Miranda Detailing could the quick connects also get gunked up? My pump sounds fine but it feels at about 70-75% of pressure coming out. I’ve already replaced the solution line and fitting for the solution line. Except the quick connects. Another example when I’m doing an extraction my water jet leaves about a 3/4 to 1” clean line and not the full width of the head of the wand.
Yes they can get gunned up to. Sometimes I use my air compressor to blow the lines out. Also unscrew the tip and blow out any little particles that may get stuck in there
My pump would shut of alone and stop making noise. Now it always stays stuck on making the sound that used tovlast just a few seconds after turning on. Is my pump about to die?
Mine does that too now. I think it’s a leak in the lines loosely by pressure and making the pump run continuously. I’ll need to open mine up again and see if I find leaks.
@@MirandaDetailing mine drip water from the quick release attached to the bass of the vacuume. But even if i doesnt drip it stays continuous. I guess id have to that that valvle first. Good luck with yours. I dont think it effects efficiency in any way. I dont know.
Weird. All the lines are tight? Sometimes air gets trapped and needs to be released. I will run the pump and press the trigger and keep the water going out of the gun until the whole system is primed and not leaking anywhere.
I have an older mytee hp-100 Grand Prix the vacuum suction is wonderfully but the water doesnt heat up and doesnt spit water of the wand. Any suggestions....tia
Hi. Can you hear the pump running? If it doesn't heat up, the heater may be dead, Those are not to hard to replace yourself. If the pump is running but nothing is coming out or the line, it may be plugged. Unscrew the spray tip from the head of the wand and try blowing out the line and tip with an air compressor. I often get tiny particles stuck in that tip and it blocks it.
Hi. Yeah mine does that too since I replaced it. There is supposed to be an adjustment on the pump that makes it shut off after it has primed but I couldn’t figure it out for some reason.
Yeah it was continually running and nothing would happen when I pressed the trigger. So I thought it had stopped building pressure because of some internal pump issue. Guess I was wrong.
Hey brother, when I connect the line to the quick connect and turn on the pump, the connect disconnects and won’t stay on. Would you by any chance know a solution or part?
I have a mytee extractor hp60 spyder and I lost suction, also its makes a noise as if something is loose ,but pump and heater work any help or solution?
I have a new mytee spider hp 60. I went to use it for the first time to do my car today and the pump is dead. I can’t believe it. Bought it at Detail King and when I received it it was missing two of the cap nuts that hold the pump in place from under the machine. Calling Monday to get return this lemon. What an overpriced piece of junk.
@@MirandaDetailing yeah it started leaking today and the fitting is really loose.. and when I try to tighten it the hose kinks loosen it as well can’t really do anything lol. Thanks for the reply’s buddy
Mine froze last week and now it won't pump. It runs but won't spray. My pump is different. I have the 8070 II from about year 2015. The pump is different and it's installed in the opposite direction. So I wonder what pump I need. Anybody know?
So I found the pump that goes to that model 8070 II. Here’s the link to Amazon amzn.to/2CYcgMW The only thing is I would open it up and test everything first. Don’t make the same mistake I did! 🤦🏻♂️
Hi. Sorry. You can’t adjust the pressure on the pump. It has a set psi. There is no switch to turn the pressure up or down. This is the pump that is in there amzn.to/3f39V5c It is a 100psi pump.
@@MirandaDetailing wow I was debating on just getting a new unit because my pump went out on my 8070. I might as well just KEEP it and replace the part
Sure....but since this was my first time doing something like this I wouldn’t know where to start. That’s why I made this video, the video is the test.
@@MirandaDetailing how fast or strong should water be flowing out of the line? What I fear is, is that the pump maybe going out because our extractor used to sound like yours but not anymore when you'rerunning the water through the wand....that high pressure sound. We have replaced all hoses and the wand but still no solution coming through the line. When you press the release button in the Quick disconnect at both ends. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Teflon tape is what that white tape is called!!! 😀😉
