Myth: The Fallen Lords (TFL) Playthrough Mission 11: Silvermines Played on Myth 2 Engine with the Fallen Levels Plugin Legendary Difficulty No Casualties
Well hell holy myth, Jeoku, you bust through these missions on "legendary" mode like some kind of wizard. Any rate I have started re-playing this game and commenting here and their for the fun. Back in the day I only played Myth TFL cause I bought it and Myth 3 wolf because it was given to me. I still have both cd's. I came back to Myth because myth 2 is free now and you can play myth TFL in myth 2. Fun as heck. I had never played Soulblighter but I started because then I understood that I could game Myth TFL in Myth 2 soulblighter, heck ya. so i did start playing and started from the begging here and there when time permits. So a few months ago, I got to lvl 11 in TFL and real life happens.. Today, I was reorganizing and cleaning my basement and found my original Myth TFL manual with other old ass game manuals. yee haa
"Played on Myth 2 Engine with the Fallen Levels Plugin Legendary Difficulty No Casualties" The first sentence explains it all - just try Silvermines with the original engine and see how good that shooting of 2 Fetches with 4 inexperienced Archers would work out for you ;)
Absolutely. Unfortunately, the original game is no longer supported, and idk how close vtfl is to the original. There is a new plugin that is supposed to be closer that I might try sometime.
@@Jeoku you can perfectly play the original one, at least with the software rendering (which I would say is anyway better the the blurred OpenGl/3dfx and gives that original vibe), all you have to do is the following 1) mount a CD (or ISO in case you don't have one) 2) install the game (Large) 3) apply unofficial patch 1.5 4) always keep CD/ISO mounted and start the game from there (install or run program from your media -> Play Myth) 5) it will start with the image shifted - just click Replay intro, abort it after a couple of seconds and it's fixed until you restart the game 6) play 100% original
@dmytropuzhay6532 I don't remember if I tried software rendering, but the last computer I had it on the game only showed on a quarter of the screen. I'm just saying it's no longer supported so results will vary
@@Jeoku "the last computer I had it on the game only showed on a quarter of the screen" But that's exactly the problem I explained you how to solve :) Just give it a try next time you decide to replay the Myth, its really easy and reliable - the look and fell of the original is totally worth it, much more brutal and satisfying as the Myth 2 engine.
