Have you checked the lack of players doing M+ at the start of the video? They’re not quitting the game because the games fun, it’s because largely steady players who pug their way to keystone are being gated and so why play. Less players is a drop in revenue. They don’t want free gear, we want a steady way to move up, not hard stuck.
everyone in my heroic raiding guild has sworn off M+ for the season. out of a roster of over 50 active players, we have 4 people who still play M+ regularly. everyone else avoids it like the plague.
Nobody in my guild was running anything higher than a 7 except for a few people who did it with other friends. It left me to only be able to PUG and it was an awful experience. I got a bit lucky and found my way into some M+ groups regularly getting invites, for actually being good at the game. But it was a huge struggle to separate from the pack.
Saved is a massive overstatement. If they reverted tank nerfs, buffed threat gen, and reverted stop casting again I would say saved. Holy shit I miss Dragonflight.
As someone who does 10s and has no interest in 11s, I'd... mostly be fine with it? Would feel kind of lame that they made me do it the hard way and nerf it that substantially, but it probably would be good for the game overall. So I can suck it up.
Mythic plus should shift from timers that deplete to speedrunning and effectively rank players on how fast a key was absolved so thst people can either absolve it or just be hyper speedrun competitive AND STILL go higher and do more difficult keys This would also prevent depletilng -1 griefing if someone quits
because the +7 affix is psychological more than anything. the real time loss come from 4-manning trash/bosses, or losing million of damage because you died during CD. the 10s more on the timer is trivial.
I am done with m+ this season. Gj blizz ruining everything that works. Should have changed nothing from DF s3 tbh except removing few affixes and thats it
I have no issue with Challenger's Peril. But man... The changes they made to how the mobs keep casting is what makes Pugging so random. It's so hard to pull a big pack without communication. Every interrupt I do feels like gambling and half of them are wasted because 0.2s before someone stunned the same mob.
I feel like this is fine though. You can easily do +10s with 615-625 ilvl (that you can aquire without myth tracks). Keep in mind that myth tracks drops in mythic raid and shouldnt be aquired too easily.
If you can’t time a 10 which every single one of them is completely free and all you do is weekly no leaver tbh you don’t deserve to get a single myth item the entire season
Overall, the dungeons just haven’t felt fun this season compared to the past… don’t feel like getting overly expensive enchants for low level gear I just plan to replace this early in an expansion. There are just more enjoyable things to do right now.
Honestly kind of feeling the same. The thing I'm not enjoying this season is that I feel like I'm playing mechanics more so than playing my class. Also, getting into pug groups is proving to be a challenge despite my ilvl being 618 and my rating sitting at 2230. Like I'm lucky if I can get into 8's, and when I use my own key the only people signing up are like 1500 to 1800 rated players with ilvl's around 600.
@@KrakenGuy When you use your own key you just have to wait for a tank. Dont accept anything before a tank comes (unless it is someone really good) as having a tank will make better people search. Just be patient and dont accept dps before you have a nice tank. Just watch some youtube while waiting for tank, or do some questing or w/e. I have done thi and i am 2796 IO now, and i have started playing with a premade tank now which i play well with. and if you want to push M+, you NEED to do your own key. grouping for keys is not a thing unless you have something that makes people take you, and that is either be overgeared, or have too high score for the dungeon u search.
@@Ratatoeskrrr How am i a prime example or what's wrong with gamers today. I did multiple 9s and 10s. I have a 2544 m+ score this season so far. Yet i cant say i don't like current m+ system? If i am crying then this guy who make the video is also crying. Will we continue playing m+ every week ofc we will but with less interest that's all i'm saying, we are not quitting .

The time for blizzard to think is the 5 months they had the game in beta not wasting players time when it goes live. I pushed the first 3 weeks and timed almost all 12s and was 2890 rio which was very high for some days ago. I went on vacation for one week and I come back today and everyone is 3k rio or close to. Do you think blizzard is not wasting my time with a season reset?? Literally still deciding if I want to go for all 13s which is basically old 12s and redo the same content I already did or just quit. I don’t think players should feel like quitting a game at any point due to stupid dev decisions but here we are.
@@icswack6015i completely agree. We have to buy the new game and we pay MONTHLY to play the game. Then every xpack ah is broken sometimes more, sometimes less. Some bufs/nerfs are sometimes like 50% or even more (what are they testing!?!?). We deserve a finished product especially from blizzard who is multi billion company and is on the market for more than 20 years!
Just a reminder: Players warned them about this during beta and knew this season would be shit if unchanged. Blizzard purposely wasted your last month+ of progress and probably would have longer if subs didn't start tanking.
Issue imo is a +8 last season difficulty wise is like a +5 this current season due to player power being weaker at the start of a new expansion. M+ turned me off this season. Going from +15's pugging easily to struggling in a +5 pugging. Most casuals arent going to play due to not gaining power fast enough.
This was the change that I think was responsible for most of the difficulty spike in keys honestly. You no longer put things on cd with stops. It feels like the cooldowns on dangerous stuff is quite short but that may simply be my false perception of them. I rather liked it when stops did put spells on cd because it involved a little bit of skill expression, and coordination allowed you to take it further.
@@Furcasthe biggest issue with this change is when I go to interrupt a dangerous cast someone tends to use some AOE CC and my interrupt goes on CD and the mob just casts it again. Horrible idea to make stuns ineffective at stopping casts, it still costs the player the cooldown of the stun.
@@stevebonk8995And also, its just fucking EXHAUSTING. I cant get through 3 seconds of my rotation without shadowstepping to interupt, blind, kidney, gouge, kick a mob before he 2 shots someone.
If they bring the mythic track gear to +9, increase the timer of all dungeons by 2 minutes and make interrupts not go on CD if they didn't interrupt anything, this could be an amazing season. I think they could also give mythic track gear on a weekly lockout per dungeon on timed +12 (like, one of the two items dropped would be an mythic one), but this is another disscution
it felt so bad compared to dragonflight i cancelled my sub, it runs out in 4 days, the 11.0.5 patch notes looked good but not /quite/ good enough. just managed to do my first run since any of these changes went live (necrotic wake) and it already feels much better and i will probably resub - i think a lot of people cancelled theirs. it felt awful
I think they should add a mechanic that a mob that has been interrupted recently cannot be interrupted again for a short time, or u cant get put on cd if you kick them and lose ur charge, u can't coordinate kicks in pugs and those avoidables are so punishing
Didn't have nearly as much a problem with what key level gilded crests come from as I do with getting 90 crests a week when my spark item costs 90 to craft....and my mythic vault item costs 75 to full upgrade.....
Dungeon nerfs in this video don’t go live until next week. IMO, Challenger’s Peril should be no more than 10sec/death or be deleted altogether and Myth track gear should be obtainable in the Great Vault after completing +8.
blizzard should make ppl unable to leave m+ once they start or if time is not over they cannot leave or get a 1-2 hour debuff or something. because trolls and leavers make m+ the most toxic season ever
I got keystone master first week then i had to take a break because of irl stuff. I came back this week with 609 ilvl only and me and my friends just run through keys difficulty 9-10 ++ without any effort. It is harder than other seasons sure, but really we have a problem with the players aswell. Players today just stop playing when they get to a road bump instead of trying to get better… Where did the patience of people go? World of warcraft used to be a grind game but people only wanna grind today when something is not hard. They can spend 20 hours in a cave for a mount but if they fail a instance 4 times because it is hard, they just give up. It is really sad to see.. if we just nerf stuff then it is not rewarding for the people that completed it when it was hard…
It's too little too late. Dragonflight was just shy of being perfect. Tww affixes with dragonflight key systems would be nearly perfect. Rip RLP. I hope we see you in season 2 and beyond.
I cant stand tanking in TWW. They designed packs to limit pull size. I hate not being self sustainable, the lack of useful trinkets and not to mention aggro issues. Big flop imo
Level the playing field for healers, remove all their interrupts and give every healers a proper dispel of every kind cause if you gonna make dungeons cater to ONE healer for an entire season. Yes people are gonna not want to play. I play holy/disc and managed to be 2725 io pugging, but that itself requires you to perform miracles due to dps being brain rot players who don’t do mechanics
Why would they do mechanics? They probably never had to up until that key level. Every "mechanic" is just brute forced with defensives since they made stop casting irrelevant.
It's not saved people still aren't inviting spending 30 min applying to keys under lvl 8 when all I need is 8 but for damn sure not gonna get in those either. It's stupid.
It was good change but now people are get keeping 8's and the io inflated ppl who get carried are throwing lower keys they don't need io for just for crest
or you are just bad, 10 are so easy... now it will be harder for people like you, cuz every random noob will reach 10 and still be failing mechanics and not pressing defs...
Out of mana. 20x per dungeon. The tank changes made tanking and healing worse. The affixes are just as annoying as the old ones. Too many idiotic overlapps of mechanics. Delves make low keys not worth doing. Every key level up from +4 should give some gilded crest. 2 at +4 and 2 more with every key level. So people who can't do 8's have at least a slow path to progress and making useless key levels more meaningful.
The comparison player base or amount of M+ runs from DF and TWW is dump, TWW has now Chinies player while DF they we’re locked out. Half now the runs and you the better numbers ;)
Great start of changes of M+. Not sure if it's enough to get me back into the game, because it's winter and electricity problems in Ukraine would be huge, however, gg anyway Blizzard. Still main problem is not getting enough players in day time and even in the evening, which Blizzard can't really affect much, but with some tuning, hopefully player base won't decrease at least.
Why cant Blizzard understand they they should not designing the game for players that can +15 a Mythic but for players that can only +5 a mythic. WOW did not start out as a hardcore skillful player game. It started out as a casual easy game that you can play with your friends regardless of their skill level as anyone who played classic raids can attest. Thats been long lost and no matter how many times they see a repeat of players leaving the game for its too high difficulty they dont get it,.
im dps monk and the class is pure garbage. no way i can do 11 with that chass. ofc there are god players out there but for the rest of us mortals is like olmost impossible
The game the content has been really good, and steady, but it leaves to be desired, the community is very disagreeable when it comes to mistakes and at the end of the day it’s a game, but it doesn’t feel like it. Everybody’s rushing. The game doesn’t feel fun I quit.
I feel like people are just accustomed to getting myth track gear for basically free. Some dungeons like Necrotic Wake were overtuned and I think everyone can agree to that. Also getting Gilded Crests at a +9 felt bad for a lot of players and shifting to +8 is a good move. In general i think they moved in the right direction. I just hope they wont overly nerf the difficulty on aquiring gear. It is easy enough to gear you character to 610-615 ilvl in about a week, which is actually enough to complete a +10 when you are quite decent at the game and have a bit of coordination. It is only natural that people feel bad having to work harder for endgame gear, which is a normal reaction. But it is healthy for the game in the long run to have some meaning to the gear you are wearing.
nah. people who struggle with 7s and 8 will complain instead of the people struggling with 8s and 9s. and those people will realize than 3-4 more ilvl don't make them good.
No, but for decent players, 7ilvl will make them more durable and live small mistakes and push that extra dmg and healing they need to time 10's. Eventually that will make the game fun = getting good = more good players to push m+ with. Its a long term win win
why would I bother getting 5 crests when I know others spend the same time to get 12? sounds like a system for losers in my opinion. I'd rather not play the game until it's better. today's hotfixes help a little, but they need to really improve Mythic+ a lot more before I re-subscribe to the game. I am still boycotting WoW. but glad to see they did today's changes. the first small step in the right direction.
Why are people crying about 9s and 10s lol. I had a full vault of 10s first week and they were all timed. Have you considered not being bad at the video game??
@@stevebonk8995 not really I mostly pug. If you start pushing early and keep up high rio you play with good players. I think most people don’t push that much at the start and fall into rio range where the people you play with make the key seem harder than it is.
More like it wasn't worth the time for normal people It was nolife biased, yeah i know it's hard to accept that people actually would want to do other things that play videogames all day and imagine that! 90% of the money Blizzard gets is actually this majority, who would've thought ?!
Well. I'd say they need to bring other classes to the state of mages cause that's the one thing Blizzard did well. Mages are designed amazingly, and they scale great while other classes scale like shit.
