Hi the coaches are based on the existing Mk3 tooling so as far as I am aware there is a representation of seating included in the coaching stock

The Buffet cars have always been advertised as they are, it was decided that the compromise was necessary to make the project economically viable. I am not aware of anyone reporting coupling or lighting issues to Dapol

There's a great picture on West Hill Wagon Works of a pair of n gauge Dapol MK3 coaches with droopy couplings. (The picture is demonstrating how there couplings bring the coaches together not they are a better coupling). Sadly my whole collection of MK3s have had to be adapted to stop them from separating during motion. Also a quick search on Google with the keywords Dapol MK3 uncoupling with throw various threads up. As for the lighting, I've complained on several occasions to Dapol about blown lights. The majority of my Dapol locos (not including my class 73s) have blown lights. I run just DC with Gaugemaster D controllers. I know why they blow. When the locos derail they short circuit and puff, the lights blown. (My Farish, trix, kato, Tomix don't blow if they derail). So hence I no longer buy Dapol new. Just spares and repairs now as I have no confidence in them.

Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry if you have experienced an issue with a Dapol product. I am not familiar with your personal interactions with the sales team and therefore can only make generalised comments below. We produce thousands of N Gauge models a year and encounter minimal issues attributed to each run. With the best will in the world however, there will unfortunately be the odd one that has a defect. This is a drawback of mass production. If a modeller experiences a problem with one of our products they are covered by a 12 month no quibble warranty that covers any issue which results through fair play. This Warranty can also be extended by 12 months should a modeller choose to have their model serviced by our service provider (a small charge applies to the service). If purchased though ourselves or one of our stockists you would have been more than welcome to make use of the warranty as we want all of the modellers that purchase our products to have a happy experience with them. All this been said I will repeat my previous statement that I am not aware of anyone having reported an issue with couplings or lighting on the HST-P models to Dapol.

@@dapoltv4705 Thank you for your response. I should have returned items if they were still within a year of purchase. My fault for having such a large collection I guess and not getting round to use them frequently. But no doubt your products have really heightened the hobby. Although your ngauge mk3s have some compromises (door lock lights on all liveries) they are undoubtedly very well detailed. As with all your coaches and really did mark the start of others lifting there game to match. The locomotives you produce (ngauge), (although I'm scared to run mine) are full of detail and really do look good. I'll still let them pass but it's with envy. But as prices rise across all manufacturers I can no longer remain in the hobby now so I'll soilder on with what I have.

Hi. Thanks for the comment. I understand what you mean but if it Rapido and Locomotion your talking about, I believe they have stopped the project. But I do fully understand what you mean. If they have stopped the project it would be a good idea for you to have a go though.

I believe someone else is already proposing one if not actually in the process of making it.

Rapido Trains & Locomotion were doing it in OO, but the project got put on hold after the crash in the pound. I’ve not seen anything further to suggest they are proceeding with it, but hopefully with the release of the N version from Dapol, it may make them reconsider. Fingers crossed!

HI Rodney, not at the moment, but I would imagine in a week or so we will have worked our way through all of the pre-orders and any available stock that remains will be made available though the website.
