They are cute little engines, I will admit. I don't have room for one, I'm sorry to say. I guess the second batch of new Manor models will never see the light of day, due to the factory taking too long to help you get them released. You're not to blame for this at all.
They are on the water at the moment. So not allowing for the vagaries of international shipping we could potentially see them in shops towards the end of the month or possibly just into next month.
Question, has Dapol ever considered making a short video for each loco when released showing an un boxing and fitting a decoder , lubricating bogies, accessories etc. In some cases a video would work far better than an instruction sheet which assumes familiarity with various things. Recently i received a new N gauge Western, it took me 20 minutes to remove the body shell and to swap out a bogie it felt like I was about break something serious other than the bogie frame. I'm sure I'm not alone in this observation.
Hi, slightly confused do you really have an N Gauge BR 3MT in production (if so amazing suprise) or should that be O Gauge or should it be the n gauge ivatt 2-6-2 which didn't appear to have a mention?
@@dapoltv4705 if this helps when dapol announced they were doing the class north British class 22 it was said all four versions were to be done d6300 to d 6310 had small grills on there sides and a different roof will d6308 was converted to the model dapol make's now the only difference is on the cab roof just above the front windows it had the original air vent slits some locos had different indicator boxes larger than the one's on the dapol model, iknow it's not possible for dapol to do these different types as of cost but it is possible to do d 6308 in br blue with a slight modification to make the air vents above the front cab window's I hope this is of help to you,
@@dapoltv4705 I believe two or three years ago dapol said it wouldn't be cost effective to do the tooling to do the other variations of the class 22 NBL as the cost of retooling would be to much,
Must admit you’ve got a lot of models in the pipeline . I too have your class 68 models and am very impressed . I still rate this as the best diesel in OO today
Ever since the introduction of Class 68 your innovation and production of high class locos has gone up in leaps and bounds.Well done Dapol.Looking forward to the 323 !😊
Thank you Dapol. You guys produce some outstanding modern image stock. Have already preordered the 323! Please look at producing a class 325 at some point in the future!
These look promising! Though I hope you'll take your time with quality control and motor effenciency, I've noticed Dapol has more of a 'quantity over quality' type of approach.
Let's just be honest, with the exception of the 50's and 68's Dapol's motors are cheap nasty crap ! A Hymek brand new lasted 4 hours and a 153 hardly any time. And as it was a Gaugemaster special they refused to repair it ! I have now fitted so many with Tramfabriek motors to my Dapol stuff, it's unbelievable.
Nice would like the 59 baby shed in OO guage just asking any plans in the same scale for the eletro cats as in the class 88 locos as be nice to have a couple of them
I've already pre-ordered 7822 Foxcote Manor of Batch 2 status. Analogue version, that is. Dapol, you did me proud with the Mogul and Hinton Manor. You've done so again, I'm 100% certain. Roll on the arrival of Foxcote Manor, on the Cat Valley Steam Railway. She will replace the older Bachmann version I have. If I had the choice of buying either a Bachmann Manor or Dapol Manor, there'd be no contest. I choose your Manor model: removable coal load and firebox glow at an affordable price. What more could one ask for? Your Manor models are simply the best, better than all the rest, Better than anything, anything yet to pass the test.😂😘🤗😁
Look fabulous. I hope it will encourage Dapol to produce more LBSCR items....enough locos lasted through the Southern and into BR days to make it commercially viable!
Interesting mix of details there. 59/0 bodyshell (003 unless I'm mistaken) with a 59/2 underframe. I hope this is just a test fitting with details to be correct before production.
How about some locos that are not Southern or Western related! A nice Black Five or Ivatt 4MT! any news on when the BR bracket signals will be coming? I have a space earmarked for them already!
Ha, rather funny the West Country was first announced in 2012, has been at CAD stage since 2014 and probably this time it's announced. I'd doubt they'd do a Black Five as Farish have a tooling.
DAFT DAPOL & THEIR WHACKY WIRING. Pretty looking but operationally pretty stupid ! Like all their previous semaphores, the wiring method provided is extremely limited. All you can do is individually change the signal between "go" & "stop" !! Indeed there isn't even the option of having a control panel repeater to show you whether the signal is at danger or clear. Not helpful if you can't see the signal from where you are operating !!! In real life the semaphore signals on each track controlled by each signal box had to be operated in a specific order ! The most important semaphore was the "Distant", which was the first signal a Driver saw as he approached a signaled area. The Distant if at "Caution" told the driver, one or more of the following "stop" signals is at Danger, so be prepared to stop !!! If the Distant was at "clear" this told the Driver that ALL "stop" signals controlled by this signalbox were also at "clear". So the Driver could proceed at line speed in the knowledge he had a totally clear line, ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE AREA COVERED BY THIS SIGNALBOX. A fact some modelers totally fail to understand !!! Indeed to comply with the basic fundamental rule of semaphore signalling, which was: "ONLY ONE train may be present on each track (called a "Running Line") in the WHOLE area covered by the signalbox. Irrespective of how many signals were actually provided. Which reveals that semaphore, specifically FORBIDS trains to follow each other from signal to signal. Which is why it is known as "ABSOLUTE block" The "NEW" junction signals, as seen in this programme, appear to be even DAFTER than their previous signals. For the simple reason these models are intended for a "two route junction". Obviously in real life the driver can only take ONE route, and only ONE of the two signals could be showing a "Clear" line. Both the signals would be "interlocked" with the point giving access to either route, so that ONLY the signal for the route set could be cleared. A Fact that could have easily been included electrically in that oversized box at the base of these models, but isn't !!! I bought a large number of these semaphores from GAUGEMASTER, on my way back overseas. Only too discover when I reached home that the wiring options shown where absolute NONSENSE. The options included wiring them via a "Relay". But this was totally idiotic, as you still needed a "biased mini toggle switch" to control the relay ! So the relay did NOTHING, except do what the switch was doing, as it couldn't replace the switch, IMBECILIC ! As this isn't the only DAFT wiring I have found in DAPOL products, I'm increasingly of the impression NO one at DAPOL, actually understands electricals, & certainly not signalling. Indeed DAPOLS semaphores appear to assume two things by their production. One everybody uses DCC, and two DCC modelers know NOTHING about signalling. Which is INSULTING to the customer !!!!!!! For the Record, I am an ex Railway Engineer, who has worked with many railways around the world, for over 40 years, from BR to New Zealand, & in many railway departments, including signalling ! Happy Modelling 😝.
