N&W 611 The American 2016 

On Sunday June 5th 2016 Norfolk & Western 611 pulled two half day excursions from Manassas, VA to Front Royal, VA on the Norfolk Southern B-Line. Despite the wet weather the 611 performed admirably. One of the highlights of this video is the 611 struggling up the 1.8% grade in Linden, VA on the morning excursion. In this scene you'll see 611 slip as she attempts to get traction as she tries to get the heavy 20 car train over the hill.
