10:08 you can bind the back buttons without a pc app. Make sure the controller is on Classic mode, then hold the top left button that looks like a weird triangle with 3 balls until the color ring starts blinking. Press one of the back buttons and the press whatever button you want to bind it to and then press that weird triangle button again and it will be registered.

I also have this controller, couple of notes. -To be fair I believe the PS4 / PS5 slider is due to how hall effect sticks need to be tuned in order to work with each console. It does seem unnecessary, but I won't complain at added compatibility. Also due to Sony's lockdown of vibration features between these generations. - The triggers are not digital mouse click, but they do have hall effect sensors. When you set them to hair trigger in the software they feel faster than mouse click ones to me. It can almost be jarring how fast they are in fact I may adjust them down a bit. If anyone is interested the sensitivity+ setting in the software puts the sticks into raw input mode. Which is an important piece of information to have when tuning them. Raw input is a bit closer to traditional controllers circularity wise and response curve wise. I have been keeping it turned off to keep the near perfect accuracy of 0.0 to 0.2 % error. EDITED: for additional context with sensitivity+ off you have a radial max deadzone so your sticks make that perfect circle in gamepad tester. That should lead to less dead areas (the red) when testing since well the error is 0.0 - 0.2% it is all blue. The response curve is a bit dialed back usually because the max deadzone is smaller. When you turn sensitivity+ on it goes into raw input mode. That technically removes the max deadzone so the sticks in theory are only limited by the physical gate of the friction rings. That will give a typical joystick error on the circularity tests. It will also be slightly more responsive which you see for your self by taking readings holding the stick all the way out in both modes to see the values. Definitely sucks the one stick was defective. If you want well tuned hall effect sticks right now, this is one of the better or only options out there with as many features as it has. Sure the gamesir is a cheap alternative, but it is definitely not quite at the level of this controller. I like it so far, the accuracy is night and day, aim assist feels different with this controller it is somehow more sticky. My theory , unproven, is the accuracy provides CoD with better location data thus generating a stronger aim assist when in the proper location. The speed of the triggers when set to the fastest setting "pro" in software and the S1-S4 buttons is impressive. I have many other pro controllers and the speed on this beats mouse click controllers in my opinion. Between the accuracy and the speed of those inputs that is enough for me to say this is a good controller. Long term we will see how it goes, I hope to see some meaningful firmware updates with hopefully an overclock option. I also have a Hypr controller on order with hall sticks, so I will see how that is in comparison. I have owned a PS5 scuf, PS5 Aim Controller, PS5 self built extreme Rate parts, and dual sense edge. I am done with stick drift my expensive aim controller sticks crapped the bed in 3-4 months... $80 or something to replace and the paddles break in 1 -2 weeks. This controller for me has more pros than cons in many ways. I dont want to keep spending money because of drift and broken paddles.

Ps5 vibration system is patented by sony, no controller other than sony branded one will work on ps5 games with vibration fiture. The button allow you to play a ps5 game version on a game like apex because you can't dowload ps4 version of Apex on ps5.

Only use I can see for the thumbstick shaft "movement restrictors" is to place the fattest one on the Left Stick so you can flick the movement stick faster. You'd need to also adjust the response curve for the stick as well so that it reaches top speed with less movement as well, since the "movement restrictor" will mean the stick reaches the shell faster.

The response curve wouldn't help that. Outer threshold would need to be reduced as the stick still wouldn't reach 100%. Not all games have a outer threshold setting so yeah those restrictors are pointless.

My understanding is that there are 0 aftermarket PS5 controllers that have rumble or haptic feedback because Sony. The only controllers that can have it are first party dualsense/edge or obviously modded controllers that start life as a dualsense. The toggle switch for PS4 enables vibration because it's allowed for PS4 games and not PS5.

Have it and love it, aiming is very accurate and fast feels like aim assist is stronger on cod. kept breaking paddles on dualsense edge.. had victrix gambit it kept having issues with right analog.. i also have the victrix bfg pro its great hasnt failed me yet since release just wish the polling rate is higher...had the elite 2 stick drift was crazy and it was heavy lol... scuf reflex impact,infinity all them joints failed after a few months...

About that stick error - you have to adjust your profile in advanced mode, switch to linear curve without Sensitivity+ (av error 0,0% to 0,4% both sticks). Check it as soon PC app works, mine works well. Classic mode is so busted...

32:28 "Common" Classic is for binding buttons without the app, Advanced is for binding buttons with the pc app and using profiles, i think up to 4 different profiles can be used.

@@Rawzix totally overpriced. The build is nowhere near as big a jump as the Xbox Elite is over a regular Xbox controller. The battery life is EVEN WORSE than the standard controller. It lasts around 4h before you're getting low battery alerts. Abysmal.

@@yarbles66 fair point. battery isn’t really a problem for me though as I personally can play wired without it bothering me. the reason I’m considering getting the DS edge is mostly to counter stick drift. I’ve had 2 dualsense get stick drift now and buying a 3rd would set me at the price point of getting an edge. The dual senses seem to last on average about 7-8 months for me before they start getting stick drift, I don’t really wanna spend 80 bucks on a controller for it to break just over half a year. I rather just get the edge then and have to spend the 25 bucks for the replaceable sticks. Theres plenty of years until the PS6 comes out so I would have to constantly buy 80 bucks controllers if I don’t get the edge… my other choice would be getting a 3rd party controller with hall effect sticks but then I won’t be getting haptic feedback or adaptive triggers. Plus the hall effect sticks aren’t completely protected from stick drift even though people like to believe that, the stick can get off centered after certain use. also with the edge I can tune the deadzone in settings which further helps me combat stick drift. In my current situation the DS Edge seems to be the best purchase, I mean it sucks that the customer has to pay for a solution but what other choice do I have? I’m open to any other suggestions

The reason they sank the PS button is on asymmetric stick design controllers, most players use their right thumb and go over that button to the dpad whilst still moving with the left stick.

Man I wish the Razer controller was overclockable that would literally be the perfect controller for me. Need your recommendations because you’ve tested so many controllers, what is a controller that comes with mechanical buttons, is overclockable, Xbox layout, and has HE thumb sticks. I’m using the victrix gambit and I love it because of how fast it is but I would love to tryout mechanical buttons .

I'm primarily a PC gamer, and I'm currently using the Victrix Pro mainly because the 4 rear buttons were a better fit than some of the other controller options but it lacks Gyro motion controls. I've been told by another reviewer that this controller does have Gryo motion controls. Can you confirm this? if so could you possibly test the gyro in the Steam PC software? Steam has an option to configure Gyro usage if the controller has a Gyro sensor.

I had one of there controllers for the ps4 and it was really nice I loved it. Except the l1 and r1 buttons were so cheap they were bugging after 2 months and eventually they sunk into the controller so far they couldn’t be depressed at all

The only remark I can make as being a Playstation licensed controller is ... why are not the analogs next to each other like the Playstation ones, but instead has the Xbox diagonal analog sticks position which I personally don't like.

I’m very new to ps5. Literally bought the console to play MK 1. I used the Elite controller and really liked the disk for MK 11 but I haven’t found a good one for ps5 yet. I had high hopes for the dpad on this. I did pick up the BFG pro and don’t hate it but it’s not exactly what I’m looking for. From a strictly fighting game perspective, possibly even dpad perspective 😂, could you recommend the controller on the dpad alone? I’m just curious before I buy it

Bought this through Best Buy and returning it no more than a few days later after tinkering with settings, game settings, and trying to “break it in”. It feels like I have to really push on the right thumb stick to see any real movement compared to the Edge and Razer. Disappointing since I really enjoyed the Nacon I had with the ps4, which was the main drive for buying this one.

I wish the other controls would have hall effect sticks that's the only reason I would buy this one but if the software doesn't work etc. it's not worth it. I think they need to work on their software for now but too many features are missing for that price point. I wish they would have the Halifax sticks on a regular revolution x that would be awesome

Hey man, great channel, love it! Question about the Nacon and this model in particular. There is a "battery-saving" mode one can activate where it turns vibration and led's off. Will this make the controller communicate with the pc faster? I'm a little bit let down it's around 3ms. Regards /Naconfan

I think you are the best YT channel when reviewing controllers. But of course, this is all a mater of opinion and taste...I will buy this controller, and the reason is that once I bought the first Nacon for my ps4 at the time, I got so used to it, my brain registered those back buttons position...I grab a normal dualsense in my ps5 and in FPShooters is like I cant play...my hands search automatically those back buttons. Also, the xbox like config, I got used to it to...the previous Nacon got some bad reviews, but I enjoyed it so much, with this one I just know it will be the same. Based also on your reviews I was about to buy an AIM controller, but the announce of Nacon rev 5 came, and I will not think twice, I just have my brain mechanicaly trained for Nacon controllers config...and I have to say, if it is just as good as the unlimited pro 4, its good enough for me.

But I just know I will love it...scuf can have more things that people like, AIM seems to be great to. But, Im just so used to that rear buttons position and also the Xbox like config...the vibration perks the dual sense have with the adaptive triggers and all that are fun, but for me is a small thing compared with the main factor: rear buttons and position of those buttons.

@joaovasco3059 From the reviews on the websites the small issues I have seen are the back buttons being easily pressed and one review saying the stick cap can fall off during intense gameplay. Have you ever had problems with the back buttons accidentally being pressed on the PS4 nacon controller?

@@dat1ytcomment262 my experience with the unlimited pro 4 is very very good, never had those problems. And once I got used to the back buttons position...I simply cant have a better experience with others, cause I am so used to it. And the pro 5 is the same, so I just know it is the pro controller for me...but it is my personal experience. It happend to me to buy things based on the reviews saying is the best, and it also happened buying things that can have kind of bad reviews and for me its amazing...which is the case of the Nacon pro 4. It wasnt realy bad reviews, but people usually dont put it on the same level as the scuf for example. My advise is, if you want to buy a pro controller, and if the vibration is not that important for you, think on to things: do you want the normal config, or the left analogic in other position, like with the Xbox config? And, do you want padles or buttons, and where do you want them? Grab your controller and act like the buttons/paddles were in the specific positions, and decide with that. I am positive you cant go wrong with at least 3 options, the scuf, the AIM and the Nacon. The Edge has only 2 back padles instead of 4 so it isnt and option for me. The Razer Wolverine has a high price, but the real problem are the buttons, they simply seam weird. Other options arent in the same level, for me. So decide taking those considerations, but in my personal experience, long live Nacon!...that thing of easily pressing back buttons, I had a period to adapt, but once I got used, again, I simply dont want another configuration.

As far as no vibration in the controller, no one i know that uses PS5 actually has the vibration turned on. They all turn that off. So no vibration is not a big deal to some people. Guess it just varies.

I have the Nacon Revolution Unlimited Pro for PS4 for a few years now, and with not that much use, one of the thumb stick snap-ins snapped. Luckily there was others included. Also one of the triggers have this annoying and loud scratching and squeeky noise thats driving me crazy. I highly prefer my PS5 Aim Controller, even though that controller had to have a thumb stick base replaced as it cracked. Never any issues with other controllers, and I own 20-25 in total that still works from different consoles.

Mine felt on the ground, lost the thumbgrip, step on it, broke the litle clip of one side, put it back in and was able to use it no problems even it was easier to take off but don't fall upside down

I have like a little "clicking" noise on the right stick when i do circle motion and listen to it closely.. the left stick is completely silence. Is my controller defective or is this considered "normal" ? Could you check yours and tell me your expereience? 2nd As soon as i customise the curve on the right stick and dont use the presets (progressive etc) and go to test in app the stick wont go all the way full circle anymore, dont matter what shaft option i use.. but happen only when i manually change the curve. Its fine with the preset curves. Could you check that too if its "normal" ? Just wanna make sure if i have to really return it or not. Because if its line a problem on every nacon five i dont have to go through all the struggle to get a new one just to find out it still has the same errors or i even get a even worse controller worst case...

Kinda late but me and my friend bought this litterally 30 mins ago (I for PS5 cause I've had major drift and I didn't want to keep pumping money for pads like I did on PS4. Also bought it from Amazon), and he for pc cause stick drift was something he also had to deal with (bought it from Nacon's site). We both had good experience with Nacon controllers in the past. I'm waiting to see it on my own hands thursday. I was always disinterested in the dual sense edge because it didn't have the hall effect and it had the scummy 25€ replacement thumbstick instead. Scuf was also off the list because while being a more staple option it still didn't have the hall effect. I've seen people praise this controller and people hate this controller, which is pretty in line with what I saw from the victrix, (which was in my sights a while ago, but you guessed it, no hall effect), so I just went with personal experience with the company. On antoher note the reasoning why third party controllers do not have vibration is because Sony outright forbids them to put it in due to it wanting to have the monopoly on haptic vibration and triggers. This was a dealbreaker for me because I use the vibration in MP games, and without the hall effect it was a no no. But coming to think of it, it's not like I buy cod anymore, the shooters I play are hunt showdown, occasionally fortnite, destiny 2 and that's about it cause I think that good shooters are hard to find nowdays. I do play fighting games but I have my arcade stick for that. Story games usually failed to use the dualsense specific features and I don't really play a lot of Sony specific exclusives, so if I want vibrations I can just plug the old dualsense, admitting that the dirft doesn't drive me insane cause it started to interfere with sprining in games like hitman and xenoverse.

I bought the Nacon Revolution Pro 5 too. When I looked at the instructions...WTF, no English. 😂 Also, you can program the buttons on the back without a computer. On the C/A select switch put it on C. Then press the button on top of the controller opposite of the wire/wireless switch. Press the back button with the face button you want. When your done just press the top button again and your done. The application software ware is awesome. You can select instant triggers, pro short or full trigger. You can save 4 profiles on PS5 mode, then 4 profiles on PC, and 4 profiles on PS4 ( all profiles can be different from each other). Your left thumbstick must be a fluke because my thumbsticks are perfect (maybe I got the lottery pick!).

Among the Nacon revolution pro 5 and the Razer wolverine v2 which one would you recommend? I can't use "dualsense shaped controllers" because they hurt my thumb badly and I don't really care about rumble and adaptive triggers (I can buy them at the same price, so that's not an issue) I've watched the comparison at the end of the video, but unfortunately I can't use any of your suggestions since, apart from the victrix, they all are modded dualsense I think that the wolverine would be a no brainier for me, but the fact that razer included mismatched sticks (instead of offering two domes or two raised sticks) is severely pushing me back, since I hate mismatched thumbsticks and AFAIK they don't even sell replacements the revolution pro 5, on the other hand, feels packed with features that I wouldn't even use (Bluetooth headphones compatibility, weights, analog stoppers), but them being Halleffect and having that "thick raised" cap, is so tempting It's a shame that nobody released a cheap controller and have to pay 200$ more to play comfortably, but I'd like to have more input

I came to comment a lot here to share my opinion. I have never felt so much precision on a controller, the nacon is so smooth with the metal rings and you can get a lot more accuracy for long range shoothing dmr. I now tried so many controllers and never I felt any big differences, but the nacon pro is what I was looking for. And when you go with a game with crazy deadzone you can't remove or lower, you can be smart and create a map adapted for the game. For example GTA5 or red dead 2 are similar weird shooting, so bad people go for aim assist... 1 milimeter input to 5 is same speed, 7 and to the edge is max. Leaving you with no accuracy to speed balance. That is why you better play it with mouse if you want accuracy and no aim assist.

Victrix isn't physically that much smaller, but it feels a lot smaller. Vs a DS Edge (which is a good fit for my very large hands) the Victrix feels so much smaller. This is down to grip & button layout. To give you an example that I just tried - when holding the DSE normally, I can just reasonably comfortably use my thumbs to hit the shoulder buttons. With the Victrix BFG, I can very easily hit even the TRIGGER BUTTONS with my thumbs... I mean this isn't something you're ever going to do when gaming - but it gives you a good idea of size difference. I think the Victrix is a winner for the price (and for people with small hands).

So I was going to buy this for my girlfriend for christmas present since she has revolution 4 wich is getting worn out and wont support ps5 (managed to download cod ps4 version to ps5 so rev 4 works ;)). So wich one is the best asymmetric controller with 4 back buttons that has fixable (or non at all) stickdrift?
