I love this commander. Definitely gonna be on my going to build this at some point deck list. Ive got about 3-5 brews in front of it but i cant wait!

Shrieking Drake is also super broken in Nadu, as long as you can put Islands on the Battlefield you can Play, Target and Bounce the Shrieking Drake as many times as you got Blue Mana available!

Going to try out my Big Fish deck with him as commander. The board removal is all non leviathan, kraken or octopus creatures are returned to hand. With Nadu's low casting cost, and not going back to the command zone, I can just drop him right back out and all the other players can deal with my big fish still on the board. There is already some landfall and spells that target my own creatures in there. Tatyova was already my commander for that deck so this will make an interesting swap out.

One doubt I have is Hakbal: It reads 'Each Merfolk creature you control explores' which seems like it would only trigger Hakbal, however the map token on the other hand reads '1 tap: sacrifice this artifact: Target creature you control explores' so if I would use the tokens I know for sure each of my Merfolks would explore and trigger Nadu once. I am not sure if Hakbal however, would let all other Merfolks become targets of his ability or if they just 'explore' on combat without triggering Nadu. I lean towards the second and I'm probably running the equip 0 cost package primarily: I've found that on Simic you might as well run both the green creature tutors (So you grab trinket mage) And the blue instant/sorcery tutors as well as the transmute package which are also fairly useful at getting you what you need so there's almost no way that I won't have a way to tutor lightning greaves into play

the problem with using the finale as a wincon is a lot of people run the one ring &/or teferi's protection & a lot of the time a player can survive or just straight up has protection from everything, the jace/thassa/lab man is more of a sure win & wins through protection

Nadu draws the card or "put it into your hand". Does it actually draw?

My one concern is why are cards like Alela in the deck? Nadu doesnt actually draw cards in the rules sense so the ability wont trigger Nadu. Are they just there because they're repeatable token generators with abilities to pump the team?

I would put him into a mutate deck.

Ah yes Nadu, another deck to needlessly shove Earthcraft+Squirrel Nest into since each new squirrel token can give 2 more trigger dumps.
