Nagi's biggest problem that persists in the series, and the thing that actually his holding him back is his refusal to think for himself. He finds it mentally draining, and he's lazy. But one day he'll realize when he becomes an active player, he'll have a lot more fun. Because he already has the skills necessary to succeed. Rin underestimates nagi because he knows he doesn't put in the effort, but that allows for situations like this for him to shake up rins.

Most members in Blue Lock represent a certain method of trying to achieve your goals, and Nagi represents a person who's always gotten by on pure talent. Like, he's 100% trying to get the skill to go along with it at this point, but he never learned the work ethic to do that properly, so I suspect the mangaca will have him get far but barely not make it in the end. We'll never see a Nagi who doesn't get manipulated by those around him, in order to make him a good representation of where raw talent gets you IRL.

While Rin and Isagi were evolving and peering into the future, Nagi was able to read Isagi's mind and help him manipulate the field without hesitating.

In terms of skill and innate talent, Nagi is probably the best player in entire blue lock. (Doesn’t mean he’s the best overall)

This was one of my favourite part in the manga I'm so happy it got animated nagi is one of my favourite characters in the series and this scene showed how he evolved from being lazy to serious also ill just say but I don't know if this will spoiler or not cause i am a manga reader but if the neo league gets animated this anime will be even more goated Same with the characters
