After nearly 20 years of constant constant nail biting (I used to get pulp space infections during exam times that had to be drained from how much I was biting) my mom finally had enough and sent me to her dip powder nail extensions. I got them for like six or seven months continuously and then started getting regular manicures and unconsciously realized that I wasn’t biting! I thought the second I stopped putting on the nail extensions I would go back to biting but that’s not the case! I’m so happy. I’m 24 and finally have nails! People don’t run screaming from my disgusting chewed up stubby gross nails anymore! Im so glad hahahah

Ever since this video, I notice Sierra has been wearing acrylic nails. She mentioned she never had long nails in her life. but their videos after this one that consist Sierra, you'll notice that her nails are always long. It suits her.

I spontaneously got acrylic nails for the first time yesterday and found this because I wanted to know if they make anyone else freak out. After the initial excitement of just staring at them in awe, the fact that they're permanent slowly starts to trickle into your brain, and that the hands you were used to using without conscious thought all your life have now become strangers. It's a lot like getting permanent braces for your teeth. Haha. A day later, I already feel more relaxed, but it's definitely a moment of shock. Side note: If you're someone who already talks a lot with their hands, you may end up with even more dramatised gesticulations which I love LOL

For taking out contact lenses, you should get a suction pump so you just hold the handle and press it against the lenses and pull gently to take it out. Its way easier and I don’t have long nails but its so easy to take out your lenses.😉

I’m glad you two got out of the habit of nail biting/gnawing... so, I bite my nails too and I’m pretty insecure about it plus my family is trying/has tried to get me out of the habit. About two years ago, my mom took me to a nail salon to get acrylic nails but they didn’t help because I just bit them off anyway... tried it once more with ‘harder’ ones but it still didn’t work for me :( maybe it will work now that I’m a little older but idk

Sierra is right, nail biting is inherited because my Mum used to bite her nails until she was 9 and my Dad used to bite his nails until he was something years old (Idk how old my Dad was when he stopped biting his nails)..My brothers don't bite their nails except my younger brother (I told him a scary nail monster story so that he doesn't bite his nails like me xD)...

I have a habit of nail biting. I started when I was a little kid. I saw a clip of a nail almost falling out of my nail. So I thought 'Why not bite it of?'. When I did that,my OCD came up and said I need to fix it by biting more nails. Then the habit started to come to me. But thanks to this video I stopped my self to bite my nails. Love u

I’m the opposite… I have long nails and have never bit my nails!!! Lol I also use contacts and I just use my nails to put the contacts in but it has been easy for me because I had long nails when I started using contacts. I always tap my fingernails on the table as well!!! Lol! Also I have no problems with using toilet paper, or opening doors and stuff like that but I do hurt my fingers constantly by hitting, squashing or using my nails too hard! Sooooo painful! 😣
