I like to do jelly sandwiches with stamping, A couple off set leaves then a coat of jelly then a couple more offset leaves really makes it feel like an autumn scene. I also like to do colored french tips and then glitter and then a jelly over the top. Jelly sandwiches are probably my favorite.
I never knew what it was called but I always did the French manicure with a sheer color over the top of it. I thought that’s how you were supposed to do them for the longest time 🙃
I love the look of jelly polishes on their own but pairing them with glitter makes it look so cool! Thanks for sharing what a jelly sandwich is, I had no idea! ☺️
Ok I have a request for your favorites series - what about a favorite jellies video? I'd be interested in getting more into jellies and off the top of my head these cirque ones are the only ones I can think of. It would be neat to see a rainbow of your favorite jellies from any brand!
Okay, this might make me have happier feelings towards jelly polishes. 😂 Seriously though, these combinations are really cool and not something I would have ever thought to do! I appreciate you and Cirque teaching me the wise ways of jelly polishes. 😂 Luxray! 🥰 I love Luxray. I am still shiny hunting. I'm almost to 700! Thanks for being awesome, Kelli! 💜💜
Love this idea. I'm not a fan of the sheer look but the idea of layering on cremes and toppers is absolutely brilliant. Now I have a whole new realm of polishes to look for 😅
I'd love to see a favourite jelly polishes video. I barely see this formula anywhere and I've been looking for some pink jellies! I also could talk about Pokémon forever 😂 I don't have the new remake yet but I played Platinum until my whole team was level 100! I loved my Infernape and Lucario so much. I usually base my team on who I think looks cool without overlapping types too much. And agreed on bug types - when you said Kricketune I immediately thought "oh he's not staying long" LOL
Ahhh, I love a lot of these from cirque colors and it's so fun to see you use them in this video to show off different combinations. Cirque is quickly becoming my favorite brand of polish not only for their unique and wide variety of polishes, but also for their charity releases. It's always great to know you're helping to give to a good cause and I wish more brands would pick up on something like this.
I'm from Alaska! Our conservations need more love! We have a lot of nature lovers, but also a lot of hunters, and our natural resources are always being developed, which can lead to eye-balling protected lands. Lets go keeping the wild, wild!
I'll probably never wear the polishes you do, Kelly, because I live in a different country. But I love how my mind works like yours. This is the fourth time I've watched you do a kind of nail art that I did very very recently (this time my jelly sandwich is still drying on my nails 🤣) keep up this lovely work ❤️
This was so fantastic 👏 the cocoa with the nectar was beautiful 😍. I think it would have been nice also with the sun-kissed. This such a smart idea of the glitter between the jellies
I've been binging your videos and buying nail polish (using your discount codes) ever since I found you. I've done some cool stuff to my toes and can't wait to start on my fingernails. You are so fun and uplifting. I am artistically inspired by you.
This looks so fun! I love combining nail polish to make new combinations but I haven't tried a jelly sandwich before. The Cocoa Jelly + Nectar combo looks like a sparkly little baked bean 🥰
These are so beautiful. I love all the possible combinations and colors. Unfortunately, I had a case of butter fingers and I dropped my bottle of XX - it shattered and spilled all over my bathroom floor 🤦🏽♀️
I love this tutorial so much! I have several really fun flakie and glitter toppers, including Cirque Colors Crystal Tokyo, XX and Lullaby. I also have the trio of their blue jelly polishes, I think it is called the Shibori Set. I also have 3 sheer jelly polishes from Essie. Three are from Essie's Glazed Days collection (purple, pinky red and cerulean blue). The other is Essie Expressie Mall Crawler. I am so excited to try various combinations with these amazing polishes!
I will def be trying this with some of my older plain colour polishes, but it's kind of the reason why I prefer smaller indie brands like the ones from polish pickup. They tend to have super interesting finishes without needing any extra toppers
I have two pinkish jellies this would be perfect for. They're not polishes I normally reach for so it's great to have something to do with them. Thank you!
I'm not really a jelly polish person but I do love seeing how creative people can get with nail polish! I agree with Pokemon team building! I try not to double up on any types, wanna cover as much as I can in a team!
I have navy jelly and Crystal Tokyo. Also have linen and Chiffon. Going to try Navy with Crystal Tokyo. I want to try jelly, glitter and a topper. I just want to make sure they don't take forever to try with lots of layers. Usually I'll use base and top coat from Cirque always with any kind of manicure and pedicure
I also chose piplup as my starter! I currently have Rhydon, Golem, Empoleon, Luxray, Rapidash and Machamp in my party. usually i don't like to have repeating types either but i switch it up when i'm fighting gyms and i'm about to hit the electric gym haha!
I saw an older video of yours where you talked about layering. I used your technique for my Hanukkah look. I coat @cirquecolors Cobalt Jelly, I coat @chinaglaze Can You Sea Me? And then another coat of Cobalt. Always love your technique Kelli!!!!
For nail polish 101: can you do something about how to prevent polish (especially gels) from drawing away from the free edge? Or is that an unsolvable problem?
@@KelliMarissa I just got Christmas Lights from Starrily and ordered their Ghost Jelly today. I was thinking that would be a pretty sweet jelly sandwich.
Hi Devin! To be honest, I really don't feel comfortable reviewing brands that have been involved in serious controversies. So I don't have any plans to review Lights Lacquer, unfortunately they've been involved in a few!
That one time I did a jelly sandwich I used a jelly purple and iridescent flakies and ended up recreating "Juicy Fruit" by Cirque. Not intended at all 😂
I spent the whole evening on figuring out my Pokémon team, I landed on Empoleon, Gardevoir, Houndoom, Toxicroak, Rhyhorn and Scyther, I hope this works out, six dual types without overlap, it was a bit of a puzzle, but I'm satisfied (:
Thanks for sharing another great video!! Always look forward to your uploads! I have a question. In videos like this, I assume Cirque Colors sends you all the polishes you need. Do you actually use the new products they send you, or do you just use the same polish you already have. I imagine you must have 5 once-used bottles of the same polish in every color! Lol!
Kelly, was wondering would it be considered a sandwich if you start with a creme base then the topper and end with the jelly on top? I don't know if I like how this looks with the jelly as the bases and the topper...but again experimentation is always worth it.
Sometimes I like to layer jelly polishes over other colors. I really loved to combo of sponging a jelly yellow, pink and orange and finish it with a layer or jelly milky white. To me it was like a fancy french, subtile but fancy. But I really have the talent to destroy. Or another Combo I really adored was a neo Tip and a jelly rose or jelly whhite. It changed the nail completely. I love the glitter Topper idea but I hate the feeling of structrure, it makes me want to nibble the polish of. By the may and off topic. I still play Moon and Ultramoon. Can't tell the party of Moon exactly I think it's Sudowoodo, Komala, Metang and Trevenant. I set myself the goals of Having every Pokémon at Level 70 except for my Top Team but I still need to figure out who I take with me. And another goal is to breed my perfect battle tree team. Well I played Pokemon blue as a child, crystal and a little but of ruby but I never really got into that breeding and tier thing. It's all new to me and I'm still bad, but having fun. In Ultramoon I have Magmar, Pyukumuku Corsola Staryu, Alomomola and Lanturn with me. Not because it's a great team but I do not want to leave a Pokémon behind. I hate the thought of leaving a Mon in the Box and not use it because it's bad. It's stupid, but that's me
LOL--off subject, but I love that I just recognized Kelli's voice in Simply's Among Us play video (without even paying attention to the other player names)! :)
Trying my first jelly sandwich right now, base color is two coats of a medium red jelly, then a rusty pink chunky glitter, and another coat of the medium red jelly. Let us pray
I got a magnetic silver topper from Bow that would be gorgeous in a jelly sandwich. Looks like I'm about to order more polish. My husband in going to ftfo. 🤣
I've seen nail art in between jelly polish. Typically there is one layer of polish, then a couple of 5 point flowers (using a dotting tool) are added. Then another layer of polish and a few more flowers placed in different parts of the nail, possibly overlapping a bit from the first flowers. It make a multi dimensional mani. I've done it once, I wasn't very good at it but what is this called? Also a jelly sandwich?
cirque is one of those brands that i really wanna try soon but i’m STRUGGLING to narrow down my first order from them lol they just have so many beautiful polishes and i’m like… okay well i can’t buy one of everything
Im about to start layering lol. Its like you read minds. My Pokemon party is almost the same as yours almost. Empoleon, Ponyta, the Sparky lion😂, Mew which I'm not sure I'm going to keep in the party, Starly the 🐦 and I cant decide what to do for the 6th and im half way thru the game 😬 I have a the mystery gift Pokemon Mana something but I never use him and am too lazy to remove him 🙄 I usually never overlap types and dual type it up when I can but this game its been hard to pick a 6th. I have diamond.
@@KelliMarissa thanks. Wish I could show you the 20 polishes I just bought from Walmart 😂😂😂. I was mostly successful with figuring out polishes that were sheer so I can attempt to use them as jellies. I also found 4 toppers. I got a few different top coats, a new base coat, and a nail stamping kit. 🙈 you’ve inspired me so much. Can’t wait to attempt some jelly sandwhich manicures.
