What a talent.....I am in awe to see such dedication and passion....he really does looks like an experienced person which is reflected fom his work...hats off sir👏👏👏👏👏👏
I love raku❤ The finished product is always so beautiful. This video was awesome to watch. People take for granted how much effort goes into pottery!! You rock pottery guy😀
This was a lot of fun to watch. I was a potter as a youth, and raku firing was a celebration, that of course required a feast. I haven't thrown pots in a long time, I found my medium in encaustic instead. But using the torch reminds me of the heat of the kiln.
That was one of the best clay videos I’ve seen! I just did about 4 pieces with the raku firing, and only 1 turned out ~ it was the clear crackle with masking taped resist. Thank you for taking us through the whole process!! Your piece is fabulous! 🌟🌟🌟
Awesome work! Being a ceramic artist myself, I can appreciate the extra steps you have taken to have great success with the process. I have used different recipes and techniques for this process but never thought of using a slip before the Terra Sig, well done!.
I'm inlove! With everything! the man, the technique and the pot. First I thought I'm gonna watch him because he's pretty, than I fell inlove with his relationship with clay, and just when I thought that's all there will be- the pot turned out amazing!
I love pottery. I’m an in advanced clay in school and throwing bowls and cylinders on the wheel is extremely relaxing. I hope to have the material to do ceramics in my own home when I am older.
E ainda tem pessoas que não valorizam o artesanato. Que trabalhão tive esse magnífico profissional. Uns dos trabalhos mais lindo já visto. Parabéns pela linda peça.
If I could have my time again I would love to try and become a potter. I can feel how it feels. This was a wonderful 13 minutes Simon.....so relaxing to watch. I could teach you to make cheese scones if you will teach me how to make the simplest of pots! Brilliant video Simon. xxx
Take a class on it! You may not make something like this right off the bat but I take great enjoyment in hand-building silly little trinkets with air dry clay. The wheel is probably the most well known and most mesmerizing aspect of ceramics and pottery but I think the most fun I’ve experienced in ceramics classes has been making slab mugs with silly faces and building teapots shaped like coffins on Halloween.
You make me wish I had yet another life to live. I have long collected raku when I could afford it and my pieces are among my most treasured belongings. Beautiful work.
Man this is my first time watching something like this and half way through the video I realised I was watching with wide eyes and open mouth lol I'm just really shook 😂 This was amazing! It looks like A HELL LOT OF WORK. I applaud you people who continue to do this art.
This is so much hard and beautiful work. You deserve great clients who can actually pay for your time and skill. I would buy this. Don't lower your prices. You are worth it. 😌👍🏽
This vid is incredible! I learned some basics of pottery years ago, so i see this is the top experienced, artist level individual. Im so jealous of his skill 🤗
GBSheridan en contraire, the clay makes your skin smooth and not dry at all. It has a natural kind of grease. If you still want to use some hand lotion after, feel free to do it ☺️
What an art pottery is which is diminishing in the present world. An art which requires tons of patience and concentration. Great Job man ,that's quite admirable to see this lost art still kept alive by some people like you 👍
BEAUTIFUL. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. In the future please narrate your videos. I used to do ceramics a number of years ago. Some of what you show I do remember. Other things you show I am a little fuzzy on. All in all I enjoyed watching you work. Blessings to you.
Well, I spent almost half the time watching this video thinking "what the hell are you doing?" only to be utterly gobsmacked in the last 20 seconds. What a beautiful piece. Brilliant job Mr Thorborn.
